    Hola. Me gstó el video, a excepción del minuto 2:33 en que adelantaba en linea continua al autobus que le adelantó anteriormente, no es un ejemplo para que respeten a las bicicletas. Gracias.

    If you had carried on beyond Soria the roads and scenery become even more spectacular.

      Yikes! I’ll go back there. Maybe next year, and this time I’ll explore the island more on bicycle 💪🏽

      @@MosesAmira It's cycling paradise if you love climbing hills and mountains. I do. The ride up and down from the Pic de las Nieves from all points of the island is epic. There is lots of fantastic hiking as well. I wish I had known about it decades ago, well I did, but never went until last year for two weeks and loved it. Having looked at your more recent videos I think you might be living in Japan so visiting again might be quite a long journey?It is somewhere I have not cycled yet but would like to. I have been to Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan, but not yet Japan. ATB.

      I understand. I have the same feeling about the island. I wona go for a month and cycle all over and then make it a regular visit...Valley of tears has been beckoning me ever since I left 😅.

      @@MosesAmira I loved the island as well. The central mountains, west, east and north are totally different to the south around Maspalomas which is a tourist sun seeker honey pot although the weather in the south tends to be drier and warmer hence the holiday resorts catering for sun lovers. But the mountain roads are epic. Never seen anything like them. Most of the drivers seem to be so courteous as well but like all traffic never take it for granted.
      You certainly flew up the climb to Soria passing a lot of other cyclists so you must be a natural climber. Next time take cleats and you will find it so much easier and be even faster as well with your feet clipped in.
      The climbs are certainly punishing especially Valley of the Tears. No wonder GC is used as a winter training ground for Pro Cyclists especially climbers.
      I actually rode down from Soria but had climbed up into the mountains from the east side of the island Telde north of the airport. I was bike packing and managed to stealth camp most nights in forests. No fires though as you can end up in jail and huge fine if you are caught or worse start a huge fire. I did stay in accommodation for the first couple and last couple of nights which was good but apart from this I bike packed around. It was march/april time not too cold but not too hot. The south is quite barren.
      Just about to book another two weeks for this coming march but there are also very cheap flights to southern Turkey at the moment. I just want to be somewhere warm!!! UK winters are freezing, long and depressing. The Philippines looks awesome. Many years ago I spent 6 months in Borneo and Indonesia travelling the islands, climbing volcanoes and thoroughly loved it. Sadly many of the jungles have now been cut down for palm oil and logging. A catastrophy.
      I can recommend climbing Mount Kinabalu just over 4000m on Sabah if you get the chance. When I did it, it was a hard two day climb through dense jungle. The plant species by the path were amazing and abundant. Now I think there is probably a cable car to the top or a giant escalator stair case.
      The other country I would love to visit is Costa Rica said to the country with the happiest people in the world. Apparently their army was disbanded 70 years ago. Go figure.
      Anyway thanks for your reply and good luck with making it back to Gran Canaria.

      Wow! Alex you have had some great adventures ❤️✔️🔥 bike packing in GC. I stayed at Maspalomas and toured around by car except this day that I hired a bicycle to check out the island. Next time I’ll take my own bike and kit.
      Yeah I’m currently in Asia, in Europe and Africa later this year but will check out the places you have mentioned too and see if I can visit ;-). Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

      Hey Odhis, for me it only feels strange when there's noone else on the road and i stimes start to veer to the left, otherwise I am fully adapted now. I also drive on the right comfortably until I go to Kenya and find an empty road then I get a little confused sometimes 😅

      Btw you may want to get an international driver’s license while you are at it. I don’t know if your 254 driver’s license is acceptable everywhere

      Thanks buddy. Yes I've been taking 3 year IDLs alongside my 254 DL. For 6 years I've never had to use it, even twice at car hire a few years ago they used my 254 only, but reading this from you makes me realise I should keep doing it - the IDL👍🏾

    • @MosesAmira
      @MosesAmira  2 года назад

      It doesn't. I hired the bicycle from a shop and they sell mounts but I didn't carry a garmin with me. I used a Samsung watch instead. Next time I go here, maybe next year, I'll have everything for proper cycling..

    Nice ride but too much climbing for me however going down will be great unfortunatelyhe who wants to go down must first go up ! - why cant you outsaddle on flats 😀 I only ride flats climbing out of saddle no problems 😀

    • @MosesAmira
      @MosesAmira  2 года назад

      Yeah the climbing is quite extreme 😂. I enjoyed it though. I can offsaddle well on flats but not when the climb is a steady 15%, for this I loose too much energy with the friction under my feet on flats. When clipped in, I am sure where my foot is and can focus on the hill and move faster.
