Every time there is a new FSD build, you are the first video that I look forward to seeing. Your videos are so unbiased and thorough! Keep up the good work
I would have still liked you to score it though
I love his final thoughts at the end of the video
I wanted to wait because I feel like the first drive isn't always representative of the build. Seeing how it handles repetition is a better means of grading the build as a whole.
He is my favorite FSD reviewer. I wish he would post way more often. However I do understand people have lives outside of their tesla’s. 😂
@@matthewturner261 yes, he's my favorite reviewer as well
This has great value for me because these are roads I’ve driven on for decades. Two years ago I didn’t think FSD was possible. Now I think it is. Thanks for representing BT.
💯
Wow I am impressed with this run. That really is amazing how much improvement there has been in this version.
Thanks BT. It looks to me like many of the past releases were "two steps forward, one step back" but 11.4.1 looks like it might actually just be two steps forward. Don't want to jinx it but I'm looking forward to getting the download and trying it out in my area.
🤞🏾
It's a one step back. It's not great at unmarked narrow roads right now, it brakes super hard and doesn't move far enough over to the right.
Looks like you are in line to be rewarded for all your labors with the referral program. Congratulations, you deserve it.
🤞🏾
Always great to see a Black Tesla vid in my sub feed - great video and drive as always. I always appreciate the honest commentary to help set realistic expectations of where FSD is at today.
Thank you, we appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment
Excellent job so far. By the way, I have difficulty communicating because I had a stroke in Broca’s area, the part of the brain that controls speech. 2/8/2021 but I lived again. (My wife helped me compose this.)
Hi from the UK again. Did you read that Tesla won't deliver any of the new Model S or Xs to Right Hand Drive markets? Angry people in the UK, Australia, and more. Anyway as always great to see your video. Easily the best channel in this regard. I only wish I could try that route.
I think they will solve the problem next year
They want to ramp production of semi and cybertruck next year
Too much money for refinary plant with Megapacks factory in china...
Maybe one day you'll join the rest of the world?
Good one for you
I don't see why Tesla does not use steering by wire.this way it would nit be an issue driving from right side or left side
@@enoughofthis
Have some constraints, i think it's currently used in race cars
But production family car need to be super smart and the appropriate steering speed in different scenarios
Excellent FSD 11.4.1 demo. Love your honest appraisals of each build and can't wait to get the OTA.
👍🏾
I love your Videos Thank You for posting 🙂
So glad to see you have 11.4.1. I trust your videos and insights so much more than TeslaBull FSD.
Thank you
Fantastic, so the conclusion is that Tesla has solved the issue of FSD at more than 95% and the only question is when the definitive version will be announced. It will be huge, a milestone in the history of technology…apparently not many people are realizing at this point.
As Elon just said it will be a chat GPT moment for Tesla 😊
5:29 and 6:09 are terrifying that the car can be moving at speed, make a sudden course change decision, and actually act on it in a way that would lead to an accident. We've seen this in the past with the car making last second course changes that the driver isn't ready for.
It's necessary. The car also has to act suddenly to avoid catastrophe, like moving out of the way of an errant vehicle, or braking for a sudden pedestrian. Sudden course changes are necessary for driving. This will always be the case.
@@nonconsensualopinion No - did you look at the course changes it plotted? It plotted last second turns, both unexpected, unnecessary and dangerous. And it started to act on them. Those changes weren't necessary to avoid catastrophe. They would have created one.
The car would have stopped in time or avoided any accident using both the occupancy network and then then the fallback collision avoidance mode.
I agree completely that it's bad to plot what seems like a collision course with the "tentacle", but you also see every single blue object in the occupancy network that it must avoid, so worse case is that it would start to do the wrong thing then stop/avoid hitting anything.
@@timepstein274 In these examples, there's nothing turning blue that indicates FSD sees something to avoid. That's true even when it moved the tentacle in front of oncoming traffic. Also, any action which seems to threaten an accident risks causing another driver to make a mistake that leads to an accident. This is something we often see people overlook when they wait to see how far FSD might test a creep limit, for example.
@@communityband1 please stop lol
The display on the HMI is NOT what all the neural net sees.
It's just a representation of it, so please don't base reasoning on that but instead how the car behaves, which is incredibly safe.
They are just attempting to extract information from the NN but it doesn't mean it's accurate (yet). :)
Crazy good drive! Nearing robotaxi level.. end of year anyone?
Very good but nowhere near robotaxi ready. I'd say very close to reduced stress point to point driving akin to a good teenage driver.
A++ for working the word “twerk” into your review.
It would be cool you if put the pin inside the parking lot and start FSD from a parking spot too 😊
Next time
Love this. That highway drive I'm all too familiar with it as the drivers can be very impatient. Thanks for this.
I’m from NYC so I really appreciate your vids
great reporting as always, thanks a lot !
Thank you and thanks for watching 👍🏾
He’s back at it. Letting em have it.
my first 8.5 she advancing
this version seems very pleasant in 90° intersections
Good job 👍Thank you for this video.
@ 13:00 it would have been interesting to see how it handled the merge onto the Garden State Parkway or NJ Tpke (?). High-speed merges always tricky for FSD. While on the expwy, Is it ok/legal for FSD to stay in the left-most lane on the highway? Back in the day that was considered a passing lane. In some states it still is...not sure about Jersey.
It merges just fine now, if I didn't have the road rage behind me I would've let it go. It isn't legal but it's commonly practiced staying in the left lane for long distances as its still considered a passing lane. The rule is stay right except to pass.
Great video! At 11:25 that was a good reaction to the car creeping out into the lane from the left. Toll Booth at 20:30 nice 👍 left & right at 25:00 x 25:20 👍 Thanks!
👍🏾
The best update 👍
Great videos. Find these and Dirty-Tesla’s to be a consistent, level-headed assessment of FSD progress.
Quick EZ-pass tip: I purchased a motorcycle (exterior) transmitter and installed it behind my front (no-drill) lic. plate bracket. It’s practically invisible and works on every single toll pass.
Thanks good tip. I don't may or may not have a front plate so I'll see what works 🫣
In Germany we go sometimes 100 to 130 mph on motorway, Beta has to learn how to deal then with other cars or cars that overtake you then with 190 mph 😂😂😂
ruclips.net/video/qa3fT9u48wI/видео.html just what I mean
Nice video! I appreciate that you don't want to cause road rage, that's a good thing ;D! But just a PSA, the Tesla moving into the left lane to pass is good, but good highway courtesy is to have the left lane be a passing lane - and not just a 'fast lane'. So this means after you are done passing someone, get back over to the right so anyone who wants to go faster than you, can go and pass you on the left. I also understand you don't want to intervene with FSD when you don't need to so :( hard to say what to do.
The car should've exited the passing lane but didn't. I didn't want to intervene so it stayed there. Hopefully it will do so next time
I just saw Mother Frunkers FSD beta video and you would think that its not even the same software.lets just say it was very disappointing.
I think with each build they fix things that make it work better in 1 region and it breaks the way it works in others it seems
Yessss it’s here , please release to the plebs
That road rage guy was crazy. Running over the median area just to gain a few seconds. Then he ends up getting nowhere. Stupid decision on his part.
💯
Good commentary
Great video Sir, Tesla owes you a check.
👍🏾
Top down view will be awesome. That 360 will make you know better what the intentions of the car are and adjust accordingly if needed.
We have a Model 3 and Model S.
The “extra” screen on the Model S is negative value for us.
Would FAR prefer both cars had the same software running on the center screen - the Model 3 UI is far better in many ways - and switching between the two cars is needlessly jarring.
Which Model S do you have?

BT, thank you for your contributions! 🤙👍
Thank you for watching
Also very good review like you let FSD do its thing whenever you can
You can tap the accelerator to close the gaps in those situations but the car in front of you kept slowing and speeding up which makes he car tend to leave more space. It was a 10 mph swing. It’s safer and just shows how erratic people drive 15:04.
Tapping the accelerator puts the car at risk as it's traveling faster than it intends and has to adjust accordingly. It also puts you at risk for getting a strike if you accelerate too long.
@@BlackTesla of course…I was just telling you how to close the gap because you seemed concerned about it. You were looking for the button to change the follow distance, but that no longer exists in FSD. It’s still an option under autopilot. The best course of action to let he car keep a safe distance.
19:00 So cool the lane changes off ramp and then speed reduction at the boot followed by the right turn! Wow!
I've been pretty disappointed in the builds of late in terms of progress and regressions. I watched Chuck's, Dirty Tesla's, and Rocco's first 11.4.1 and was more depressed than ever! Then you released this very well documented and explicit dissection of 11.4.1. Thank goodness : ) Hope is alive and well once again. Still some improving to go and we'll have to balance out the entirety of all the videos. But thank you for exhibiting a real step forward in smoothness and decreased hesitancy. Well done sir! Look forward to trying it out in my wifes MX 2023 which is still on 11.36. My MS2017 is stuck on 10.69. Very disturbing.
Thanks for watching 👍🏾
How about another trip to NYC…
When I get a stable predictable build. This might be it but I need to test more.
was waiting for your video....
Waiting for you to get used to it….then rate it. Thanks.
getting over into the shoulder to turn right is standard behavior in California, which is why I assume that it does it. In CA, the shoulder serves as sort of a right-turn lane. So, if you're stopped at a light, you'll often have people sneak by you on the shoulder to make a right-on-red.
Yeah I get it, but moving into the shoulder makes turns a lot sharper than they need to be putting the car at risk of hitting curbs.
Great video! Thanks!
Do you have sensors or only tesla vision? I have tesla vison and its horrible. Cannot identify certain objects particularly when they're too low to view. Quite disappointing.
Sensors + Vision
I really like your videos and scenarios you put the car in test. Awesome attitude avoid road rage! 👍👍💯💯
Thank you
Appreciate your summary at the end when I don't have time to watch these in full
👍🏾
Elon said specifically that FSD Beta is biased toward safety currently, causing the jerkiness.
Once safety is nailed down, smoothness will follow.
Seems we’re beginning to see the beginnings of smoothness in this release.
I've been in the penalty box for 3 weeks - suspended may access to FSD- due to several breaches in the past. What do you recommend?
It should reset with this build
ruclips.net/video/lbOtyWTRZ_g/видео.html should fix it for you.
Good vid
Do you have hardware 4?
No
👍👍👍
Hello! Is your refreshed S a HW3 or HW4 car?
I think his is a HW3 because he had this car for a couple years.
No HW4 cars have been sold yet.
HW3
@@tommornini2470 Apparently the 2023 model s and x sold in February and after have HW4.

Did anyone noticed he said making a left but the car was making a right
Bringing back the referral program after the price cuts this year shows Tesla is still desperate to get sales.
