Thank you! I've been trying to figure out the difference between a single crochet and an increase. Totally makes sense now when you say it's the same thing, just an extra single crochet in the same stitch!
@@CraftingHappinessCrochet I have a question regarding a pattern: it reads: rnd 8: Sc in each st around. rnd 9: Working in back loops only, sc in each st around. Following package directions, attach safety eyes. rnds 10-17: Sc in each st around. What is sc in each st around mean? Thanks
Thank you for this. I am slightly confused though. I am making Liam the Lamb lovey and it says to slip stitch into the first stitch after finishing a row and then starting the new row in the next stitch. I can't make this work. I would normally just do continuous stitching like this video.
Hi, when you start the next round in the following stitch, the round shifts one stitch ahead and the bobbles aligh. If you do it continuously like in this video, the bobbles will not align.
I'm still a little confused. I'm trying your 3 in 1 farm horse blanket. Row 2 says Inc, SC. So I think this is what your video shows? Row 3 says Inc, 3sc, row 4, Inc, 4sc. Does this mean to do 3 SC in each SC, then 4 etc?
Inc, 3sc means you increase in one stitch then make 1sc in thr next 3sts. Inc, 4sc means yiu increase in one stitch and make 1sc in the next 4sts. And so on. I hope this makes more sense
i follow amigurumi patterns that start exactly like this and mine end up staying flat when they are meant to rise up into a bowl shape, im not sure if it is meant to do that later in the pattern or if im doing it wrong but i dont want to waste my time trying it.
*Sc,Inc* x 6 means you make 1sc, then an increase, repeated 6 times, the count should be 18 because sc counts as 1 stitch and Inc (2sc in the same stitch) counts as 2 stitches, (1+2) x 6 = 18
The only reason I can think of for having a hole in the middle is because you have not pulled the yarn tail enough to close it. Pull slowly and firmly until the hole has closed completely. I hope this helps.

I'm happy to hear that 😊
hey when I do the magic circle I did the exact same steps but my project gets smaller and smaller I don't know why I am doing everything correctly
Depends what pattern you are following, my advice is to follow and make each stitch one at the time as instructed
Thank you so much this help me
Glad it did. You're welcome 🤗
Hi do u know how u would single crochet and increase but come up it 18 stitches in that round?
Can you be more specific? What round?
Thank you so much.
ur voice is so relaxing omg
thank you :)
thank you sooooo much
you're very welcome
Very nice! Love how you don't have very annoying and bright nail polish. I have ocd and all I look at is the nail polish...lmao
Haha, I know exactly what you mean. When I watch crochet tutorials I get distracted by the nails and end up missing stitches and having to rewind 😁
@@CraftingHappinessCrochet I have a question regarding a pattern: it reads: rnd 8: Sc in each st around.

around. What is sc in each st around mean? Thanks
@@arlenek6797 it means you make a single crochet in each stitch until you reach the end of the round (=around)
@@CraftingHappinessCrochet very nice thanks! I was probably over thinking it.
@@arlenek6797 it happens a lot, even to me 😁
On the highland cow pattern row 16 says sc in next 2sts inc x5 how is that done?
You repeat that set of stitches 5 times
Thank you
However you don't make a slip stitch to close each raw as they usually do?
very rarely you will see someone closing the rounds in amigurumi, it is usually crocheted in the roud, without closing

Hi i am new in this crocheting community so if i am not wrong you do a single one then the double and the double is called insrease
Yes, in amigurumi, 2sc in one stitch is called an increase
I don’t understand this 3sc,inc(repeat 6 times) 30. Hope you respond sooon.
It means you make (1sc in the next 3stitches, then an increase in the next which is 2sc in the same stitch) ×6=5×6=30
i follow amigurumi patterns that start exactly like this and mine end up staying flat when they are meant to rise up into a bowl shape, im not sure if it is meant to do that later in the pattern or if im doing it wrong but i dont want to waste my time trying it.
How to join the round crochet
I'm not sure what you mean 🤔
What does increase 2 per round mean?
it depends, can mean you increase twice on each round
How do I do sc inc x6 =28?
*Sc,Inc* x 6 means you make 1sc, then an increase, repeated 6 times, the count should be 18 because sc counts as 1 stitch and Inc (2sc in the same stitch) counts as 2 stitches, (1+2) x 6 = 18
What to do if you loose your place or count?
Why does mine have a big hole in the middle?
The only reason I can think of for having a hole in the middle is because you have not pulled the yarn tail enough to close it. Pull slowly and firmly until the hole has closed completely. I hope this helps.
I’m so DUMB why didn’t I watch you video when I first started it’s been a year since I started crocheting AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
can you or anyone on this app keep going in the increase so we can see up to 60? otherwise this is no help to me
What exactly is an increase?
It's 2sc in the same stitch, turns 1 stitch into 2
to me it is soooooo hard to me
the amigurumi increase is basically 2sc made in the same stitch
This helped soo much but I got stuck on the increase stitch I just can't seem to get it
the increase in amigurumi is just 2sc in the same stitch, I hope this will help
