Mine here in the UK doesn't have electric start like the US versions did. They go well for a 175.
Another bike saved! Good work. 👏
I purchased this bike brand new zero meter in 1977 ۔۔۔۔ the sound was really amaising and priceless ۔ like a water fall ۔۔۔۔❤
Was my first motorcycle here in New Zealand 😊
The sound of my youth oh how i miss that sound.
Rode mine around the Isle Of Man TT circuit in 1976 !
Do you know how cool that is
Wow my neighbor had one back in the seventies, he would let me jump on the back and rip around the field next to our house , it seemed huge back then ,I guess I was only 10 or twelve years old 🤔she sounds awesome 🇬🇧🍀👍🙏🇺🇸
Sounds great!
I passed my motorcycle licence test on one of these in the UK and in the early 70s and spent a wonderful summer riding it around the Yorkshire coast.
My first bike thought it was the cats whiskers awsome sound.
I have never seen a Honda CD 175 before now. I bought a brand new Dune Cycle which was a three wheeler with nobby tires on it. It also came with a Tehcomsa 8 horse power lawn mower engine on it. I blew up the engine and I went to a motorcycle junk yard and bought a small Honda twin cylinder engine and mounted it on my Dune Cycle. The engine looked like brand new. Now I had electric start and a 4 speed transmission. I always thought that it could have more power so for some reason I decided to adjust the valves. That's where the problem was. All of the valve adjuster screws and lock nuts were missing. Amazing that it even run. For hill climbing I left the 22 mm carburetor on it, but for speed I made a manifold for a 26mm carburetor. This engine that I bought from the motorcycle junk yard was a "CD 175 Honda."
Toured around Ireland in the hot summer of 1975 on a similiar model. It would let go on a corner if driven hard. I know. Terrible rear shocks, 6V electrics, 17" tyres bad points. Exceptionall reliabity & very good economy. My CD200 was a later version of the design. I still use it for long runs. Very comfortable.
Think this is later model from the mid 70s ,earlier model was the sloper tank model
I had my eye on this back in the day when I was in high school.
Its a lovely bike with awesome sound! My uncle had it in 1990.
I ran a metallic blue cd175 (circa 1976) for a couple of years back in the 1980s, and it was a reliable workhorse. I wish I'd hung on to it tbh...
Sounds awesome and that look very nice.
We had 3 cd175's in the house in the late 70s, my dad had a blue, my sister a red and mine was painted metallic green.
NO ONE...is cooler than the professor!
Brother, That's one gorgeous and sharp looking bike that Billy is riding. Up in Connecticut, do y'all have biker groups called Bikers Against Child Molesters? Seems like an amazing motorcycle riding group to join, for all the right reasons! Much love and respect.
According to wiki the Honda cd175 was built from 67 to 79. I’m working one that looks like that one and is a 69. I also owned 68 with the slopper engine and is a blast to ride.
Hi I require a Honda CB 175 alloy carb manifold can you help me please
I rode one to Bickershaw Festival. 200 miles there and 200 miles back.
CD that's my motorcycle right there I put many hours on one of these little bikes right here ... we were even built the same year '66
THIS IS MAGIC ! ! ! ! ! !
an oldie but a goodie
Not the nicest looking bike but respect to Honda for building bikes that can last for more than half a century.
I think it might be one of the most beautiful bikes ever made
What a jewel 👍
beautiful bike and engine, the honda 175 four stroke looks like a copy of an English triumph motor, but the honda looks and runs better and had no oil leaks like the triumph motor, that engine will go forever and runs so smooth niceeeeeee
In the first minute, minute and a half when Billy rode her up. I didn't realize but I had a smile on my face big smile. That's what it's all about Buddy you guys doing awesome job thank you.👍
Original exhaust sounds much better. This setup sounds good. This was the first bike I got on in my life. As a passenger.
My first bike, blue CD175, $600 CDN, new in the fall of '67 was a pressed frame model. ($5,212 in 2023 dollars)
Are you saying it wasn't a '67 model?
The professor Billy send it and its cool one hand starter 😎
Wis😮h still had mine
You can't beat a old Honda
Where can I get a set of short mufflers like those?? I'm missing one
Great looking bike , just needs the chain guard and some replica silencers . Single card , better low end torque .
Seems to have a bit of grunt for a 175
Good job guys
Lovely sensible bike.. maybe not the best looking bike in the world.. but I tell you this.. on the A roads.. it will get you all over the country.. ridden sensibly and serviced regular.. after all.. it is a Honda!!!!😮😊☝️.. just ride and enjoy.. simple

Hey kap sr every time I comment on your videos I get contacted by these scammers saying I won a prize. They suck
Not the original mufflers.
Honda motorcycles were NOT loud.
................the old guy....
1966 ?
More like 1976 !!
Definitely not 76
