Dad added John Deere Sleds to his Dealership line in 1978. We were a Cat, Kawasaki, Yamaha and John Deere dealer that year. In 1979, Dad dropped Yamaha out as they were not selling as well as the Cats, Kawasaki and John Deere were.
At 3:10 " No other snowmobile has that" ... The Liquifire wasn't the only liquid cooled sled with a rad AND heat exchangers. The Yamaha SRX had both too. Also i think the Arctic Cat El Tigre 6000 had a radiator plus heat exchangers. Loved all 3.
@@quincee3376 I've been trying to hunt down the 550 interceptor for many years and I have not been able to find any that are in fair shape. Hard to find.
I wish they still made them, I never rode one. If someone with experience on one would tell me how they drove and handled, that would be nice. I mean like on straight aways and on curves too.
I have a '80 and '82 Liquifires among the 38 Vintage Sleds. Ranging from 1969 to 1986. A couple still in the Crates.
Man that's cool! You ever take them out?
I have a 1980 spitfire 340 great little sled. Good conversation piece on the trails surprising how many people had no idea john Deere made snowmobiles
anthony cosco I have a 79
The Kawasaki motors in them were good if you were moderately equipped to tune a 2 stroke
That's a wicked nice sled!! I had arctic cats as a kid, but I always loved those John Deere sleds.

I wish a 1976-1977 JD sled commercial would appear. I always thought the Cyclones and first Liquifires were the most beautiful sleds ever built.
