All the first steps wok perfectly but then when i create the new layer and change the blending mode to color part it doesn't work how its supposed to. I sample the skin tone and try to paint over the inconsistencies but it goes grey .... how can I fix this?
Aaron, You don't know how I'm improving after I found your channel I found the channel from Softbox vs Umbrella, and I liked your personality, checked the channel and I loved it more, keep it up Aaron and the team, you are great and deserve more!
Aaron, I am a subscriber. Like this as I forgot the channels trick. Great idea. For flaky skin I saw a video using a masked version of dust & scratches filter. Just paint white over the affected areas. I tried it and highly recommend. It is all about time.
the Spot Healing Brush layer didn't work for...? So i duplicated the image, and did the spot healing on that image....with the "brush with skin color" layer on top of the duplicate image layer. When i save this image as a jpg, when its printed, will the spot healing marks be seen? im nervous lol
Aaron - great like always. I just miss the summaries in the end :-(. They used to b the reasons, I liked ur videos the most. If u kow the subject u can just jump there and a get a little refresh of ur memory. Any specific reason, u dont do them anymore?
Can anyone please tell me how to do this in the 2019 version of photoshop? What are the steps after you do the new adjustment layer in curves? The image does not load into a layer mask (3:42) and at that point I cannot follow this video. I'm trying to learn this, but in every tutorial my photoshop does not do what the old version does. It's very frustrating :(
When I use the brush tool to fix some blotches it turns the baby’s skin grey in those areas. I’m wondering why this is happening? I have the new layer set to colour and I’m sampling just like you show in the video
Great video but I'm the 87lb elephant in the room! Babies come in different skin colors with the same skin problems and my clientele is definitely different. What steps in this tutorial would be changed?
I am following along, but when I change to the new layer to "paint" the skin (around 6:01), I am getting a desaturation rather than blending the skin tone.
Retouching 101-301 is 34 hours of intense education, including RAW files and one-to-two hour long exercises that delve deep into advanced techniques. It's really hard to compare the two, sort of like apples and oranges.
This was a nice tutorial... Can you pls tell me how can I make money using Photoshop.. actually I know many things about Photoshop thanks to your channel but I don't know how I can implement it for earning money.. Thank you:)
Learn everything you can about Photoshop, then offer skills to your Photography friends. Hopefully this will createa network of them and they can share resources. Because they are your friends, charge them just enough to cover your time and make it worth your while. Soon, you will have learned their Style and what they want in post-production. This saves your friends money and allows them to shoot more thusly making more money. Eventually, they will recommend you to photographers outside of your little circle.
While the information and help is GREAT! I wish the images used for examples were a bit more extreme. This baby has VERY little that needs to be retouched and what he/she does it is SUPER hard to tell until the image is zoomed in on. Same for the example used for Frequency Separation (not that that tutorial was anytime lately, but it's an example of my point.)
Maybe anyone know why i can't open phlearn.com from Russia?( i can only open it via anonimaizing service(( i want to join your pro tutorials but i can't because i can't open website(
Yes, we have had issues with our website (and apparently hundreds of thousands of others) being blocked inside Russia. Currently, we have no solution for this.
Don't make a habit of putting a red line at the bottom of the thumbnail. It conflicts with RUclips's "watched" indicator line and makes it appear that I've watched the video already.
Do not retouch newborn Pictures. This Pictures are Memorys and to show someone how you looked as a Baby. Retouching is the complete wrong thing on Baby pictures...
He's not talking about giving them a facelift. Just removing flaked skin, snot bubble residue, and the blotchiness that cameras tend to accentuate compared to our eyes.
Parents generally have plenty of pictures of all the grimy things that come with babies. This video is more for the people who do “hang on the wall” or “Christmas card” style photoshoots, that usually are a bit more polished.
Non-retouched baby picture photography is for the photographer that is running through maternity ward like an assembly line taking pictures of the newborns for the hospital. Look at the pictures of baby during the early 1900's where they painted over a photograph before selling it
Thank you a million times aaron, i thought i would never be able to handle photoshop like i do today ! Thousand Thanks to you !

There are so many new tools out now, do you have an update on retouching kids skin and ways to make it easier and still natural?
You´re a star Aaron!

Brilliant as always!
Its good but I'm thinking I don't know enough about photoshop to edit my baby photos like you. My CC seems to be different to yours
As always...fantabulous stuff!
awesome 👏🏻
Great teacher!
Could you do more things like cars retouch for magazines etc, and retouch all kinds of products?

so do you usually not use any frequency separation or blur to soften the skin? or would that be the next step?
When I use the brush tool to fix some blotches it turns the baby’s skin grey in those areas. I’m wondering why this is happening? I have the new layer set to colour and I’m sampling just like you show in the video
Excellent! Thank You!
Very Cool and Great

Great one!
This technique can apply in a old man skin with Tinea versicolor?
Another great tutorial. Thank you :-)
Thanks for your share.
Super cool #Blendif
would love to hear more about the Blend If option
Thank's Aaron!!!❤️❤️❤️
Aaron, could'nt we do that tiny imperfection with frequency separation thing
I am following along, but when I change to the new layer to "paint" the skin (around 6:01), I am getting a desaturation rather than blending the skin tone.
Same!
What's the use of purchasing retouching 101-301 when you are slowly uploading everything in the package at RUclips??
Retouching 101-301 is 34 hours of intense education, including RAW files and one-to-two hour long exercises that delve deep into advanced techniques. It's really hard to compare the two, sort of like apples and oranges.
Super useful
good tutorial
imagine how cute PHLEARN was as a baby

In the broadest terms possible, find a problem and be the solution. Good luck and thanks for your support!

Can you redo this video with the updated photoshop please?
We'll definitely add your suggestion to the list of tutorials!

wouldn't it be easier to just use the adjustment brush in lightroom?
I have so many questions
Good luck
when i choose spot healing brush and a new layer it doesnt paint on i have to flatten and duplicate the background
make sure you choose "current layer and below>

You DO NOT Photoshop perfection, cause that's what newborns are
To complicated
TFOOOO

Martin Hirtreiter Oh shit I didn’t know the newborn baby picture police was in the area.

Omg calm down. This is what photographers get paid to do. Nobody wants blotches and flakes on their baby pictures.
