VERY GREAT SOUND this HAMMOND B3. Excellent organ player who knows how to make the B3 HAMMOND sound superbly well, and magnificent Leslie saturation and effects.
Good lord. Thanks for posting Todd. I met Chris back when I visited Chicago a couple years ago. One of my faves. Why doesn't everyone SHUT UP and listen?
agree! i sat with Chris 5 years ago on a break during his set, the man had no regrets in life, cherished every moment and was a great man to just speak to all day, i'll never forget just sitting at Green Mill for 3 hours solid to listen to him and the band..
Witnessing Chris Foreman's jazz organ solo runs on the B3, the staccato feeling of his runs may have been inspired by the "picaro" guitar runs from flamenco guitar stylings, and probably from the jazz guitar licks from the greatest jazz guitarist of all I know--George Benson. The full Shearing block chords on the organ going full blast was Foreman's homage to the McGriff's style of blasting Shearing block chords on the organ, which likely had been inspired by the tutti blasts of a jazz big band with all of the brass and reeds playing fortissimo. The trash can chord Foreman played before the crash out was also inspired by McGriff's stylings.
Not everyone has been "over" exposed shall we say?..................Can just imagine your thoughts on someone doing JS Bach... was so fresh in ... but now....... Just enjoy it. 3 very very fine musicians at work, counts for a lot. Seen these guys a bundle, never gets old....
O órgão é espetacular. Mas esse Homem,só faz barulho.Esse nunca ouviu o Lafayette tocar. Se visse ele saberia colocar um timbre melhor do que esse e saberia tocar uma canção.
Just unbelievable Hammond B-3 organ master !!!
Famntstwww

THE drummer.....!
Top top
UItstekend trio, maar ik heb dit al zooo dikwijls gehoord... In 1963 was dit fris, nu ... best leuk, en -toegegeven- goed gedaan.

Is it possible to get that amazing sound from a b3 clone?
No plastic sample keyboard will ever give you this when you play a real one you just know
It's all about how you amplify it... All those low mids come from the Leslie.. Check out the Crumar Mojo 61.. Amazing board..
@@NormanPeterson what amp system other than a huge Leslie. I use a vent with an old xk3
A Motion Sound stereo KB500s is what I use.
You can get close but it will never sound like this .

Great playing but spoilt by sound of so many loud mouthed people in the background.

A lot of noodling.
