you should put bonnet shocks for a more cleaner look 😉
Wow just awesome buddy lots of love from south Africa Johannesburg
One word mint
Just love it lots of love from south Africa Johannesburg
Dream Build
Great project and nice choice of wheels bro
Top class Zak , love me some BBS RM's !
Make your own exhaust. A bespoke Zaks Garage exhaust.
Wspaniała robota.Pozdrowienia z Polski!!!
Awesome buddy.👍🏻side-exit exhaust 👌🏻
I second this
coming together nicely. future show car winner!
exhaust wise you could get a shop to make a custom exhaust just make sure you record it for yt. still content
The caddy is looking fantastic!!!! They’re so pricy here in South Africa and to be honest they’re also hijack prone😢
I think the air suspension will set it off just my 2 cents but we'll done lots of love from south Africa Johannesburg
Fair play to ya nipper done well she's looking good I'd go for a side exit exhaust think it would look good 👍
A really great caddy.
From the land of VW 🥰
Kind regards OCWX
Looking good Zaks great job from here in South Africa. The exhaust I would get a costum one made.
I love the way your bringing us along for the whole journey...keep it up please dude ...im a vw and audi man myself
Very good stuff 👍💯
Love the wheels ❤
On the end of the bonnet arm you should heat up some clear rubber tubing and push a couple inches on to make the tip softer and not damage anything. I dont think the ppf alone will keep it.
Maybe even a couple heat shrinks 🤔🤷🏽♂️
The caddy is looking sick bro
looking good! top job
Coming together nicely, Zak. I like the wheels. I would have chosen a lairy colour for the body, but the cream is also nice as it looks classic.
I'd get the exhaust custom made. I dont know if it is possible, but maybe consider dual pipes coming out of the centre as a nod to the R32.
Perfect touch at the end with the wheels. Looking mint mate 🤙
Yes yes loving the editing and content lately keep it it up G ❤
Great video Zak the caddy is looking fantastic can't wait to see it finished
Dude, this is looking SO good! Every tine I see you've uploaded, I can't wait to see how you're getting on. SO close now! Hope you're enjoying this as much as I am 🙌
Thanks for watching! Putting the parts back on is the best thing
A vw fan for past thirty some odd years and had myself about 9 vws from Golfs to Audis and Passat wagons...This build brings back many memories of my days...Coming from Sunny South Africa ...here are two tips from me for the bonnet "Prop rod" I'd suggest use 1/3 or 1/2 inch( not sure of the size) heat shrink on the tip of the rod so as not to scratch your fresh paint work....Secondly shop on our local markets for the door scratch plates that fit under the door handles on the outside to prevent scratches and marks in the handle area...Locally the only come black in color. Not sure if they unique to South Africa or available else where...but we use to get them from dealerships new or breaker yards used... Aftermarket its R200 a set of four
I'm really enjoying these videos. Caddy is looking amazing. Amazing work!
Fantastic build 👏🏾
You should paint the front badge white like the car ! Good job
Its coming along nicely, proof that simple cost effective details go very far. I suggest you get a custom exhaust for a tailored fit/sound (budget allowing of cause)...overall, the project already looks pleasing to the eye, cant wait to see the final product! 👌💯
Wheels are sick and makes the build pop🥶🥶
Followed this from the beginning. Work of art.
This build should get some kind of award. 🥇
Couldn't agree more "Most Boring".
@@dalestewart7055 got to disagree with you there mate
Finally i was waiting for your new video 😂❤
i can't believe its all finally coming together, so so proud of you, keep up the great work 👍
Great work Zak. I would suggest painting the rear brake drums to stop them going rusty behind those lovely wheels
one of the best builds on yt right now. I don't always agree with your colour choices, but you're chugging along nicely and it's really start to come alive EDIT: the wheels are siiiiiiick
Wheels set the car off. Nice choice! Can’t wait to see it in person
This is the nicest Caddy-Build i have ever seen on RUclips. So much Perfection and Love wow, Greetings from Germany keep it up
Do the exhaust ur self dude,u did everything ur self thus far, with the help of ur dad. So go for it dude and try putting heat shrink on ur bonnet stand as well for extra protection from scratching ur paint.
The BBS rims are 🔥 Car is looking great!
wheels are absolutely perfect for this build. old skool bbs split rims, with colour coded centres. great video
One of the best MK1 builds, keep going 🥇
Thanks!
Now we're talking !
Just a tip to make the paint last on the parts. Go for 2k paint it has a great finish, its easy to apply and it won't flake off easily like regular rattle can stuff
BBS RM One of my favourite wheels i prefer these to the rs
The van is looking amazing, I love a restomod that looks stock on the outside.
man this looks great! thanks for sharing how to rebuild the doors in such great detail
Simple and beautiful 👍
Amazing build. It's coming together really well. The inner door handles are the wrong way around, left on right, and vice versa. I'd also give the window steel holder that attaches to the mech a bit of rust proofing before fitting the door card's.
Beautiful job
Man, I love the build. Keep them coming , I'm halfway through a 80 mk1 gls atm this is inspiring me to keep going!
Looking great!
First video I’ve seen of yours, keep it up bro, looks unreal
zak the caddy looks amazing man
Looks mint. 👍🏻👍🏻
please spray the break drums and front break pads yellow or color of your choice
Looking good mate... rm's most definitely for the win with this build. Not over the top just perfect..
can I ask your dad to come paint my mk1 😂 please..
😂 get the paint ready
@zaksgarage I'll bring the tea, custard creams and chocolate digestive 😆
The series wouldn’t be complete if we don’t hear a word or two from your dad
😂 once we hit 10k
I agree
Put some heat shrink on the end of the bonnet strut too
And custom exhaust definitely, it's an art making exhausts
Nice bro. Use oetiker clamps
wheel fitment looks amazzinggg!! do you mind sharing the ET? :)
I don’t know myself 🥲
Awsome build 🎉
Im building a mk1 2door with 1.8t 20v agu an o2j gear box all the way in south africa needing some advice on the cvs set up
The caddy is coming on well but it would need disc brakes on the back to handle that power
Love this mate well done ❤
How did you install a cable drive speedometer surely that transmission is electrical or am I been stupid lol ?
I think there are two types of you can get for the gearbox, manual and electrical
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Did you need any spacers for the RM012's to fit over the Willwood calipers ? Are you running 280mm discs and g60 spindles ?
There should be a rubber grommet at the end of bonnet stay where it contacts the bonnet
This also prevents rattle when engine running
Exhaust DIY zaks style
If i could ask why not putting square headlights on the caddy?
Hello, would you have the reference for the support of Siege well to you?
Make a stone tray for the sump
What you doing with the golf in the back ground??
Door handle upside down 😂
What brand of shock mounts are you using
When are you gonna upgrade the braking system
Your pulling handle is upside down 😂 I'm sure you'll realise later
Which one ?
@zaksgarage the one that opens the door from inside I was watching your vid whilst sat in my mk1 golf lol so it stood out to me. Great build BTW I'm doing the same engine in an 89 passat
You basically need to swap door pulls to be right way up.
Make your own
Bru whr did you buy your short loom
Put a straight pipe
Give the exhaust a go your self
Honestly hard work but dissappointed you did what 99.9% people do to a caddy
Really nice and good job! Looking really good, a bit jealous...😜🫣....
And grats to 8000 subscribers!
Thank you! 💪
