I...can't...wait...have to finish a couple more years of teaching (PE/Health), sell the house, then BOOM! Vilcabamba here we come (family of 4)! We might come down for one of the 9-day retreats next summer. Thanks for keeping us "prisoners stuck in the States" up to date!
Ha! Thanks for watching and be sure to let us know how we can help you get down here smoothly. We’ve received great feedback on the Vilcabamba Lifestyle Retreat and we’re always striving to go from good to great - we’d love to welcome you as part of one when the time is right!
Thanks for the video! I'm Ecuadorian living in Spain now. I know about the comunity factor. My fahter is from Loja, a little town were they produce csweet potatoes... When he was a child, my grandma was sick in bed for long time. Her neigbours help them, and my father change sweet potatoes for onions and eggs with others and they could eat better during this time. I like those stories.
Thanks a lot - again - for sharing all this information and, so good to see you Chiyoko (another woman) on the team 🤗!! 2 years 6 Months and, my ticket will be booked for a lot of Ecuadorian healing. Leaving the old continent these days, certainly require healing so, please ask the iguanas to be ready for my arrival, look for a cave to live in etc and, I'm sure the bananas, cacao and the coffee from the region will heal me in no time 🤗 Thanks again and, have a lovely Sunday!
@@AbundantLivingEcuador Yeah..if I could only making it down on the next flight!! Europe is clearly turning into the "brand new"China/North Korea" these days which certainly isn't my "agenda"...but, I just keep counting days, hours, seconds 😊 Have a great week!!
Vilcobamba, Ecuador is healthier because up in the mountains the air is fresher and when someone in the room farts, there is a slight breeze to carry the gas and smell away
Yes, hike videos! I have been totally enjoying the channel for some time and hope to visit in a few months. I know this is not your focus, but can you recommend any content about renting in Vilcabamba? Thanks for all you do online and in the community. I hope to meet you someday. All the best, Bob
Thanks Bob! Let us know some specific questions you have about renting in Vilcabamba and we can incorporate it into a future podcast. Hope to see you down here soon!
@@AbundantLivingEcuador Hey Guys, I guess I am just trying to get an idea of what long term rental options exist in Vilcabamba. I have looked at Air b&b, etc. but options seem few. I have a very stable income from social security and a pension and would consider buying but would need to finance. From what I can gather, it seems this is not a viable option due to high interest rates? Thanks again for the videos - you really represent your community well!
Another helpful, info packed video! Thanks guys and nice to meet you Chiyoko. Just one question, what time generally are the Tuesday hikes over and you're back in town. I'm wondering, can I do the hike and get back in time for the ecstatic dance?
Hi Ted, the hikes start at 9am, we usually travel somewhere by taxi or bus from 10 to 50 min in different directions each week. Depending on the hike we come back to town around 1:30-2:00 but sometimes later around 3:00pm.
Great video as always you guys. Where is Ryan? I was wondering if Vilca has a sciatica healer, not a treatment but someone that can CURE sciatica. If not, then that will be the healing service I offer when I make my way to Vilca. I love the group chat videos.
Thanks for the comment Aaron! We’d love to add a healer of sciatica to the community! Come on down! Ryan is rocking and rolling here in Vilca. He’s prioritizing his home build series: ruclips.net/p/PLKjonsOeqrPcFx0vZEKxAYR2PWOonDDlq And RUclips shorts: ruclips.net/user/shortsPPRlcrlXUsM?feature=share Check them out!
I am planning to move to Ecuador on or about the 1st of November. Can you help me to get through the process as a Facilitator? I am going for a retirement visa and bringing my two dogs from New Mexico. May we discuss?
There is a small but enthusiastic and active tennis group here. We have a beautiful true red clay court that is the primary hub and most of the players are between 3.0 and 5.0 USTA/NTRP rating.
Yes, more views and hikes - thanks!
Will do!
Great video. Right up my alley. Mahalo and blessings

When and where is ecstatic dance? I am moving down from Loja at the end of May, been a long time but used to love ecstatic dance!
3:30 at Chambalabamba ~ by the river ~ the taxi drivers know where. 5$ donation and 1$ for Cacao Ceremony.
@@iskierka662 Oh that’s great! Can’t wait to join you on the hike and then I can still make it to dance. Thanks for your reply!

Any tennis players, coaches and overall interest?
Hi Samir - thanks for watching. Yes! There are tennis groups, tennis coaches and several styles of tennis courts available in the area.
There is a small but enthusiastic and active tennis group here. We have a beautiful true red clay court that is the primary hub and most of the players are between 3.0 and 5.0 USTA/NTRP rating.
