  • A quick 3 week rotation for neurology lead to a ton of new experiences as I went on my first away rotation! The dynamic without residents is pretty different but I learned a ton throughout this short clinical rotation. Almost half way through my clinical year of medical school!

    Andy..another terrific sharing of a real medical education experience. This journey of your's is so fascinating and compelling. I'm a professor of neuropsychology with multiple students in, completed, or about to go to medical school. You're helping me understand better what they will experience. I'm really grateful. I certainly look forward to what your psychiatry clerkship will show you. 40+ years after my own first exposure to grand rounds psychiatry in a NYC psychiatric center, I wonder what you'll see. Whatever…you'll be fine.

    Med School is a long LONG way off for me, but as a career changer non-trad, I appreciate you sharing your experiences and all the hard work you do on your videos. It's really helpful in preparing me mentally by giving glimpses of what to expect (generally) once I get where you are.

    Literally just finished neuro block in med school and when I saw the mri scan you quickly showed, the ventricles looked dilated to me and I wondered if you were going to see a hydrocephalus case….rt after thinking that you said I just saw my first NPH case…idk if that was the same case but it made me feel like I retained something 😆

    • @Fatboyfullofcake
      @Fatboyfullofcake 2 года назад +1

      Sure. Nature vs nurture, if you’re parents are like this you probably will be too. If you had a lot of responsibilities growing up, you’ll probably become an adult with those same behaviors.

      Hard work is not miserable if you love what you do and it energizes you with a rewarding feeling. That’s basically how nursing school is going for me; others not so much.
