    I’m really wanting people to start talking travel specs on this kits.

      Icon has 11inch in the front and 14 in the rear

      An upper end Icon system will give your bronco spec's almost identical to a Rapto in terms of travel. 1" less in front, same in back. Several of the Expedition Offroad guys are running them, and love it for the Baja.

    Will icon do custom valving or spring rates? If I'm going with a high end coil over I would expect to have the custom aspect available

    You left out the Prices. What is the cost difference between the 3?

      Icon CDEV kit starts around $7k i believe, their non CDEV kits start around $4k. A set of Kings is approximately $4k.

    I might be to late to ask you this but could you compare the two shocks that you had to the HOSS 3.0 that comes on the Wildtrak? Thank you and great channel

    • @ShockSurplus
      @ShockSurplus Год назад +4

      The Hoss 3.0 has Fox 2.5 Internal Bypass shocks with a reservoir. The two shocks on the table dont have IBP, and its not something that's available in those packages. The IBP is designed to give super comfortable ride in the main ride zone, and then tuned to eat up the medium and harder hits while offroad. King will be similarly comfortable in the ride zone through their valving, but these can be custom tuned easily. The Icons will feel the most firm in the ride zone due to the digressive valving.

      We had great success with the HOSS 3.0 in Baja, but the extra height of the King and Icon was to their advantage. We were also at a disadvantage with stock tires, where those folks had bigger or better tires. We saw 3 stock tires shredded in the group, one being ours.

    Awesome video. I have been going through a lot of research lately on what suspension I will be going with. I have had my 2021 Badlands Sasquatch for a year now and want to switch out the suspension. Looking at the Icon CDEV, the Fox and the King set up. I have been leaning toward the Icon as I think the electronic control will become more and more popular as each manufacturer starts seeing the benefits to it's customers. Again, thanks for this video and please continue making similar videos. Your garage background is way cool as well.

      so you want CDEV because its going to be popular? You should want it because its the best. 🤔

      I have a 2022 badlands on order myself with the hoss 3.0 package. I have been told that I should swap out the springs to level out the lift. I have no clue what that means. I was also told to get new ti-rods and upper control arms. I was on the fence on even getting the Hoss 3.0 package but what made me get it was everything else that comes with it. I was either going to completely replace the shocks with the icon set up to get a true lift and just sell the fox’s that came with it. I wish I was more savvy when it comes to Broncos!

    How is the ride compared to stock? I have a black diamond with a 3” spacer lift. Drives great on the highway. But bumps on the trail are horrible

      I’ve you go with 2.5 coil overs from any of these brands they will ride way better than stock, especially custom valved from someone like accutune

    I'm watching this video, and I'm in New England. 😆 in all seriousness though, I'm very much in the market for a lift and articulation setup for my badlands Sasquatch. Looking to add three or four inches and get a good setup for rock crawling wheel travel.

    I bought 2.5 kings and they were horrible. Swapped them for the Icon VS IR coilovers and I like them better. IMHO

    Can you do a comparison of the Bilstein 6100 vs Icons 2.5 ?

    • @ShockSurplus
      @ShockSurplus Год назад +1

      We're going to be diving into this exact comparison on our own Bronco. Right now we're on Eibach 2.0 coilovers, then Bilstein 6100s are next, then Icon 2.5 coilovers (no res).

    Icon is for mall crawlers generally. I have Icon 4 links and steering stabilizer, but when it comes to shocks, Kings flow the best IMO.
