The idealists undoubtedly believe that human ideas and deeds, in order to exercise greater authority among men, must be invested with a divine sanction. How is this sanction manifested? Not by a miracle, as in the positive religions, but by the very grandeur of sanctity of the ideas and deeds: whatever is grand, whatever is beautiful, whatever is noble, whatever is just, is considered divine. In this new religious cult every man inspired by these ideas, by these deeds, becomes a priest, directly consecrated by God himself. And the proof? He needs none beyond the very grandeur of the ideas which he expresses and the deeds which he performs. These are so holy that they can have been inspired only by God. Such, in so few words, is their whole philosophy: a philosophy of sentiments, not of real thoughts, a sort of metaphysical pietism. This seems harmless, but it is not so at all, and the very precise, very narrow and very barren doctrine hidden under the intangible vagueness of these poetic forms leads to the same disastrous results that all the positive religions lead to - namely, the most complete negation of human liberty and dignity.
Beyond profound. Thank you! I’m being sent to “sensitivity training “ for voicing my Biblical views on homosexuality at my workplace. I will find my mind going back to the things these men said here. Again, thank you.
There will never be justice in earth. Our. Job is to spread Gospel. God has to change the heart of the wicked. Our protests mean diddly. Racism changes only when God changes the heart of stone into flesh.
That is naive and said by one who has privelege. The Bible repeatedly calls his people to practice justice. Amos 5:24, Isaiah 1:17 Micah 6:8 Matthew 23:23. That is like saying that since the poor will always be in the land, we should not care for the poor. That is false. There are people who are not religious that are not racist. Justice proceeds from the gospel.
Well said Theresa. Some of us have become lukewarm in our faith as well as in our convictions. As we see injustices take place, we stand on the sidelines and observe, but never become engaged in the conversation to bring forth change. Maybe we need to ask ourselves, “Are we Hot, Cold, or Lukewarm?” ruclips.net/video/WA1t8NNX-e4/видео.html
@Nelson's Rudolph What about it? Are you a Leftist Marxist lying Democrat? Please provide facts about your question? It sounds like you are a typical Leftist Marxist hater and Trump hater.
Joseph Mellen I think what he’s trying to say is that if we all agree that the gospel shouldn’t be comprised for the sake of political ideology, then that also needs to apply to conservatism/right-wing dogma. Because if we can agree that leftism/progressivism isn’t equated to the gospel, then surely we must also agree that conservatism isn’t the gospel either. And if conservatism isn’t the gospel either, then we need to communicate this to those who blindly support a conservative President regardless of his theological views.
@Nelson's Rudolph They're wrong too, what difference does it make? It's becoming very clear to me that some church leaders are ADDING to the Gospel in order to tickle the ears of people who feel a certain way on political issues - one way or the other. These men are simply arguing the point that culture should not dictate Christian values OVER biblical truths. This particular panel is specifically about the social justice movement, and the danger it presents to the Gospel - but that doesn't mean they're in support of white nationalism. That's not a fair assessment on your part to assume that.
Nelson's Rudolph duly noted. I apologize for my ignorance on their political beliefs. It wasn’t clear to me in this panel specifically. Even still, I oppose the “Social Gospel.” I’ll do a little more digging on their alleged white nationalism. This is the first I’ve heard of such claims. If that’s the case, then they’re hypocrites for sure. I must say, it is disheartening that the US is becoming less and less Christian by the day, and within the body of Christ itself, there is so much division. God help us all.

There doesnt need to be any "racial" justice or forgiveness since there is no race on Earth who hasn't been oppressed, enslaved or otherwise disenfranchized at some point. The entire social justice narrative focuses ONLY on blameing Western Civilization (European Christians) because that is the greatest threat to the communists world government plan. 100 million Christians died at the hands of the communists. Over 10 times as many as Jews killed by Nazi's. Nazi=Communist. Same financial backers. Same murderous ideology.
@@lisamariposa473 maybe we do not have a clear definition. Of social justice. Jow do you define it. Maybe we need to start there because Jesus was concerned about justice if he is the final prophet. So what do you think social justice is?
@@lisamariposa473 Interesting. I do not define justice the way Raushcenbusch defines it (which is similar to how you define it) I define it in terms of equal opportunity not equality in outcomes. By the way, how do you feel about the year of Jubilee that God instituted? Is this a form of wealth redistribution? What about when Zacceus had an encounter with Jesus? His response was interesting. Although voluntarily, he redistributed his wealth. It id interesting that you mention Paul.
Read Paul after the Philippian jailer is saved in Acts 16. He was not content in just walking out of the jail cell. He demanded justice. Paul ultimately met his fate because he appealed to Caesar. ( sounds like he wanted justice) He was not content. Read the latter part of Acts.
@@lisamariposa473 Interesting. We have to agree to disagree. Wealth is not always about dollars it is about land as well. Even though we are not under the "Law" the law reveals to us the heart of God. When he tells us to treat others in the community a certain way or gives laws that govern how we treat each other specifically, it reveals to us the heart of God. We, God, lays out those commandments and statutes I do not say " I am no longer under that!" I think "what does this say about the heart of God? and how can I apply that principle?" Do you understand where my heart is on this? It was good talking to you. God Bless.

23:45 "Stop" - that's the message right there. Instead of mollycoddling people in their sin, we need to tell them to stop, repent. That's love. That's what Christ did.
Who defines justice? Where does he/she or they get their authority? How’s justice defined? Unless you get Perfect crunchy rice krispies instead of soggy rice krispies, there is no “justice”?
Mishael Barrios answers: God; because He’s the Ultimate authority; it’s defined as “giving what is deserved, earned, or imputed on the basis of a set standard.” Namely, it’s the standard of God’s holiness. As far as soggy rice crispies are concerned, I much rather prefer grapenuts.
Okay..I wanted to know more. I found Dr Voddie Baucham giving a breakdown of the meaning of Social Justice, it's movement and it's mission. Hallelujah!
There can be no forgiveness or the train stops. I've been asking social justice Christians where forgiveness is in the social justice gospel for a long time now and I get no answer. That's because this is a a gospel that has no forgiveness. It's not a gospel that frees people. It's a gospel that enslaves people. It's not a gospel that has the power to save. It is preached by people who want power over other people. I don't want to be negative about this, though. There is something incredibly good that can come of it. When Tom Buck says that we won the battle over the inerrancy of Scripture, and now we must win the battle over the sufficiency of Scripture, I think that battle will won. Throughout history, God has placed these challenges so that these issues might be highlighted and clarified. This will be just as difficult as the last battle, but I think God means for this battle to be won so that orthodoxy will be more firmly entrenched in the sufficiency of Scripture. That's a positive outcome.
Do you understand the Jews rejected Christ Jesus' message for the very same reason. The Romans, among other Gentiles throughout their history, has oppressed them. And they wanted make Jesus their king for social issues. But, they missed the message of Christ Jesus and His Work. John 6:11-15 NASB Jesus then took the loaves, and having given thanks, He distributed to those who were seated; likewise also of the fish as much as they wanted. [12] When they were filled, He said to His disciples, "Gather up the leftover fragments so that nothing will be lost." [13] So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. [14] Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world." [15] *So Jesus, perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone.* Also, the enslavement to sin has no color lines! You must look at it from a Biblical perspective. 1 Corinthians 2:1-16 NASB And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. [2] For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. [3] I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, [4] and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, [5] so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. [6] Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; [7] but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; [8] the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; [9] but just as it is written, "Things WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." [10] For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. [11] For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. [12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, [13] which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. [14] But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. [15] But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. [16] For who HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
By God's Providence, the police officer who wronged me, God made it possible 3 years later to cross paths with him in a Christian bookstore and he apologized to me and I accepted it. God is good! Ephesians 4:29-32 NASB Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. [30] Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. [31] Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. [32] Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. The dilemma of modern man is a heart of unbelief in the Saving Power of God and His Holy Scriptures!

Of all sinners, Jesus Christ had by far the harshest words for the religious hypocrites for the reason that they bound up heavy burdens but lifted not a finger to actually help. These social gospel PROFESSIONALS have made guilt their industry and are religious hypocrites. The real racism in the USA has ALWAYS been in the Democratic party in far greater proportion. Are these men you mention completely ignorant to such facts? Do they show any remorse for their behavior or do they act consistently self righteous as if such behaviors are below them? Maybe they have recognized their behaviors and have repented. Maybe they haven't. How would we truly know unless we live within their network of friends and are able to ask such questions. Thank you so much for this conversation. Not many churches would like to discuss these issues that have an impact as a christian. Watching this in June 2020
Intersectionality is going to run its locomotive to its logical conclusion and destroy itself in the end, it’s a runaway train. Talk about being given over to our own sinfulness. The church has dropped the ball long ago and now we are reaping the weeds that we have sown. We all need to repent and ask God for Grace so that as the locomotive gains steam, we can take the hit and survive like the early church did. May God have mercy.
'there's real sin out there' Voddie Baucham, that's a real/true statement, and Dr Johnson's comment on sound doctrine! those are key issues that social justice is taking away from!
There is Social Justice and there is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of them does NOT belong in the church. It *should* be obvious. ALL of you men are in my prayers. KEEP fighting the good fight. Jesus is coming soon!
I love this so much. Thank God for these men, and others, who are standing up to the hideous social 'justice' nonsense and proclaiming the name of Jesus.
Justice is a major theme in the Bible. A laymen’s definition of justice is righting wrongs. The Church needs to right the wrongs of our community and nation. A theology that does not require that people repent of there sins is not a theology. To many people worship a god clothed in Patriotism. We get so caught up on the phrase social justice. One of our Biblical Mandates is to pursue justice. The church can’t get mad because people have been trying to make amends for massive social sin. Sometimes those activist may be on the wrong side of an issue but at least they are pursuing justice
That is very true!! I'm watching this because a fellow church member shared it, and I'm not sure how to express this to him in a way that he will understand. However I'm inspired to do some more research and refute some of the claims in this video!
Well said Carey! Some of us have become lukewarm in our faith as well as in our convictions. If you research the roots of the modern social justice movement, you’ll find that it’s rooted in Marxist ideology, which is anti-God and historically leads to oppression when put into practice. So these pastors are just trying to educate people about it, so that they aren’t deceived.
Not necessarily, lukewarm really refers to those who aren’t really going out for Christ. Because you can have the SJW types really be doing good things for Christ still. The SJW stuff is just a huge hypocrisy forming on the church
@@jermoosekek1101 Thank you. It is interesting to consider the gospel of wokeness as compared to the actual gospel. When you are doing good works for God vs good works for wokeness.
Lukewarmness dealt with people who put their weath over having a relationship with Christ. Revelation 3:14-17 (KJV) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I thank God greatly that I am able to hear Dr- J. Vernon McGee and I am in agreement with his attitude even on apologetics. The church is more in danger of being ignorant to what God’s Word says than what intersectionality is saying.
Folks , J Vernon McGee would say about right after the rapture many people will go to the churches looking for answers for why so many people are disappeared && in many churches nobody will be missing , , , , , , something to think about , seriously ,
For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed.” (Isaiah 61:8-9)
God also says you aren’t faithful but you still run to Justice is still social regardless of what you call it. Like come on people read the Bible. Most of the law you see speaks into social justice judicially, legislatively, or executively. What’s the definition of social justice? Fair and just relations with people in society wellll people that’s Jesus was getting on the Pharisees about because they used the law to unfairly justify themselves and undermine the poor and needy. So call it what you want God is for justice and you only need to read the first book of the Bible and the last to see that. FYI- this dudes not like the gatekeepers of scripture only Jesus is because he is the only One who is holy. We only get what He has loving given via the cross, death, and resurrection.
@@kickdatgospel Well is it just semantics? I don't disagree with you, I am on the side of scriptures and of course the Word made flesh. I love Christ, I love His justice, yes we have a duty to uphold as Christians. But that duty isn't mainly focused or built around justice, it's encompassing every aspect of our lives and it's all about Jesus Christ, now we know that the 2 greatest commands are to love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself. That means everyone. There is however an agenda behind this SJW movement and of course I'm for equality and justice in the world and my country I don't know any self proclaimed Christian who wouldn't be. People want to say oh well hey social justice isn't biblical but it is more biblical than anything because the act of showing social justice is showing fairness and kindness to our neighbor whether the word is called whatever it is called. Only we get caught up on semantics, when Jesus says “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Execute true justice, show mercy and compassion everyone to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart against his brother.’” Zechariah 7:8-10. Wow, if that statement doesn't show you how much we and our country fail everyday idk what will. When we read and see how much we cannot do anything right without the Holy Spirit it brings our dependency on Christ and not on our own merit. The problem I have with biblical institutions and being someone who has gone through his masters in seminary is that we do all this gaining knowledge and theological head knowledge that we sharing our faith, we lack quality time with God, and our heart still be far away from Him. Its crazy and reason why I don't get caught up on pastors nor caught up on every issue institutions may have with worldly viewpoints.

This is true! The true SJW's see themselves as victims and seek reparations. If you do not agree with the way they see things, you will be railed upon. No toleration. I have gone through this personally this week with a friend. She is completely immersed in racial division/oppression issues.
@Dance4JC As Christians we are to help the oppressed and feed the hungry. We are to defend the weak and do all we can to share Christ's love with those around us who are hurting. Yet many are replacing the gospel of Christ with the new social justice gospel. Remember, Jesus came to this earth and did not involve himself in the politics of the day. He healed, he forgave and he taught the people how to find God and be reconciled to Him. As Christians we are to follow His example and not get caught up in social issues. This doesn't mean we ignore the needs of hurting people around us.
@Dance4JC I think our understanding of social justice is different. I am talking about Christians who take up various social issues and try to create changes through protesting, public speaking, group activity, etc. It is not the same as helping others in the biblical sense. Many people involved in social justice become immersed in it to the point it crowds out their christian experience. I have a friend who speaks non stop about racism and white oppression. I understand this is a problem but I don't believe she should focus on this and immerse herself in it. It has made her somewhat resentful and divisive. The only way a person's heart can be changed is through the gospel. That is why Jesus said we must be born again and He preached a message of repentance and salvation.

There is a lot of simple to understand principles and precepts in the gospels that the Methodist social justice contradicts. Not to be busy bodies, not to be meddlesome, not to judge the world , not to judge the law.
The church has been lukewarm and that is what has turned a lot of people off. The Gospel has it's own power, and when it's proclaimed. It has the power to transform even the most rebellious and depraved person (myself). We must never make apologies for the Gospel or our faith in it.
Brother, if you would ponder on this kindly: "Those then who tell us: You are not our brothers, are saying that we are pagans...If they say, 'Why do you seek us? What do you want of us?', we should reply: You are our brothers. They may say, 'Leave us alone. We have nothing to do with you.' But we have everything to do with you, for we are one in our belief in Christ; and so we should be in one body, under one head...they will only cease to be [our brothers] when they no longer say our Father." - Discourse on Psalms, Augustine of Hippo Brother, not all who look for social justice are liberal heretics who deny the centrality of the gospel, who detheologize the Word of God; most are people who find it difficult to disobey the commandments of their Lord who demands that justice be done on this earth, precisely because of the full restorative justice we eagerly look for at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Social justice is a good thing, but the promoters of "social justice" throughout history have always turned out to be Satan's minions using the allure of virtue as a means to deceive people into granting them power (The French and Bolshevism revolutions, for instance). That is why the Coat of Arms on the stained glass window in the Fabian Society in London is the image of a wolf wearing sheep's clothing.

Great discussion. I struggle with this topic though. I agree with social justice going too far and understand that we as Christians need to lovingly correct those who are using it to sin but what exactly is wrong about people fighting for social justice if they are disenfranchised? As Christians there will be a time we too will be fighting for our rights. In fact, it is already happening. If Christians begin getting killed in the US because of our beliefs, should we not speak out and let our voices be heard? Would it be wrong to protest? If Jews are being killed or even spoken bad about many in the evangelical community will be the first to stand for them. Is this not also social justice? How is it different from Moses fighting Pharaoh for his people's freedom? I just believe we can't and should lump all these social issues in one box. They are not the same.

@@kmk835 Ah..thanks for sharing. That was informative. I think the issue does boil down to semantics and I get concerned that many don't quite understand the definition so they feel this is a good thing while some on the other side use this argument as an excuse to dismiss and not empathize with those treated unfairly. For instance, I see nothing wrong with Christians standing for unfair pay for women performing equal work or police brutality against a particular group when there is clear proof. As Christians, I feel as though we are called to defend the defenseless to show them the love of Christ and not censor or dismiss their concerns. I disagree with the wealth redistribution based on groups but I think we are not to be quiet but love and stand with our brothers and sisters.
You're right to say that things shouldn't just be lumped into one. Speaking out against social justice doesn't preclude having mercy upon those who are truly in need of mercy, i.e. diaconal ministries of mercy. And speaking out against social justice doesn't preclude members of the church being concerned for fairness and justice. But the definitions of what need is, what oppression is, what justice is, and those who are in need and those who are oppressed, are altered in the sj paradigm. In light of the ministries of mercy, the volume of one's material well being shouldn't over-shout mankind's real need, which is deliverance from sin and guilt - the gospel. This places all men, no matter the ethnicity or economic class (Rev. 3:19) upon an equal playing field. And this makes the mission of the church is spiritual in nature because the solution to mankind's true oppression and need is spiritual in nature. This sets the priority over against one's material standing and it is ultimately secondary because Christ's kingdom is not of this world. The concern for mankind's material/social/worldly standing in the sj mindset tends to overshadow that fact. Again, it doesn't preclude mercy, etc., but to say that I must have mercy in this way and upon these people because of the definitions you set through your secular socio-secular political theories, especially when they are gravely suspect of being in conformity to Biblical justice, is not good. You have to be aware of evangelicalism as alot of them have fallen away from the gospel. The great apostasy alive and well. Fundamentalism not evangelicalism to the gospel is needed.
Evangelicalism used to mean something different than what it does today. And same thing with fundamentalism, used to be a good thing in terms of Christianity but now they have demonized words like that because people have given those words a bad name and Satan is the god of this world and he is working hard, changing what is truth and twisting it into a lie, Satan is the master of that.
social justice is not identicle to the gospel (certainly not the postmodern social justice), but the general sense of social justice is a good thing that should be pursued by gospel believing people, and my worry, though I admire these men, is that their language is erroneously leading to the false dichotomy that it's gospel or social justice, where as I think it's both and (social justice in a general sense, not the acceptance of postmodern values like homosexuality)
@@JFT5523 One thing is to be mistaken about some parts of the Bible that might not be easy to understand. It is entirely different when someone denies clear teaching of scriptures - like men can be women and vice versa.
Darius Kaškonas everyone you meet is a potential brother in Christ. If you only love those who love you, what credit is that to you, Luke 6:32. We are born separate/apart from our Creator. We are unclean sinful beings that He is too pure to know. It is only by His grace and mercy through His son Jesus that we are known by Him. He is love and His love is the standard in which our lives are supposed to be the example of. We do not have to accept their chosen lifestyles, but to turn away is to pretend that your sins are better than theirs. None is righteous, no not one Rom 3:11. Remember love is the most effective and powerful way to spread the Gospel. Be at peace my brother, rest in His grace and mercy.
These are all clearly defined in the dialogue Jesus had with the disciples when they asked him about the end of the age. The Apostle Paul addressed many of these issues also. It is clear that our society and the rest of the world have adopted heretical Doctrine driven by their own sinful self-centered nature.
Question. My pastor made the following comment and I’d like to know what you make of it: “The Gospel takes care of Social Justice, but social justice doesn’t take care of the Gospel! Saints, we need to run after social justice, the Gospel demands it, but it can’t stop there. Our mission towards social justice must lead to salvation.” So what do you think of this?
I would love to debate this entire panel. This is RELIGION in all its glory. We are called to spread the Gospel not to establish businesses disguised as churches. They are debating issues of mankind. Man is born apart from God because of our sinful nature. We all fall short. Our "ONLY" opportunity to know God, to have the life of God that was taken from man at the fall returned to us, to receive eternal life in His presence....... Is through Jesus Christ because of Gods love for us. Without Christ, God's "Good" cannot be in our presence of "Bad or Evil or Sin". This ridiculous rhetoric of "this person is good" and "that group is good" or "following God's commands", this is religious banter. If you could impress God with your deeds, the Pharisees would have saved themselves. Basically these men are teaching that Christ's blood was shed to pay the debt due to God for "ALL" the sins (past, present and future) of "ALL" of God's human creations, that Christ returned from the grave (3) days later to present the world with the LORDS free gift of grace of eternal life for any who would choose to repent and believe, so that those who have chosen salvation can return to living under the law. There is no partial credit for following the law some of the time or most of the time. As humans we are constantly measuring right and wrong by mans standards not Gods. As humans we can perform good deeds but "Good" does not reside within us. Gods life or the Holy Spirit is received by everyone who accepts Christ. We are born again, a new creature, but we are still in this Earthly vessel. Salvation does not remove our sinful nature. When we choose to take accountability for our sins unto God and accept His grace and mercy, our heart is changed, but not purified. This is the starting point for spiritual maturity and growth. From the point we are saved to our physical death, our lives will be a series of trials and tribulations, testing our trust and belief in Him. When we give our struggles over to Him we learn to trust and rely on Him. In this manner we can grow in our spiritual maturity. Some would say; "we will never be sinless in this time, but we will sin less". I don't necessarily subscribe to that line of thinking, but it can be argued. Our time here should be spent learning to trust and believe in and on our God. This is the very purpose of the scriptures. The law was designed to bring God's people to the point of absolute despair so that they would realize that all that they need is found only in God. The Bible is (1) continuing and flowing story that leads mankind in a full circle beginning in the full and perfect grace of God and returning through Jesus to the full and perfect grace of God. As Jesus said, "Give to Caesar what is Caesars". In other words let the unsaved fight over their opinions, accomplishments, achievements, power, riches, fame and so on. Let mans worries remain within their world. Don't let yourself get caught up debating and/or justifying our sinful manifestations. We were created to glorify God in all things at all times. We were not created to glorify ourselves, this is simply a result of our God given "Free Will". Our constant struggle is to put God before ourselves. No one apart from God has and/or will achieve this! "Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart, and lean not on your own understandings, In ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight". Prov 3:5,6 Rest in His Grace and Mercy, God bless you all

We need to look at God's standard for justice and figure out how we can honor it. These men oversimplify and falsely convey justice from a biblical perspective. Our fallen and deserving-of-wrath state does not excuse us from upholding God's standard of justice. He speaks clearly about justice and oppression through the prophets and through Jesus Christ. When people are being wronged or taken advantage of, and we can do something about it, we should. These men conflate many distinct issues and put both those that cannot be in harmony with the Bible (like pro - marxism/humanism/atheism and homosexuality) and those that the Bible speaks against (like racism and oppression of the poor) under one umbrella. There should never be an excuse for doing good, for helping the needy, and fighting against what the Bible defines as injustice, because we are called to live by God's holy and perfect commands.
Great points made. I would encourage the group to invite people who are a little more balanced to join the discussion. Not extremists or pastors who are walking with the world but pastors who are slightly more balanced in their views. This is just 7 guys agreeing with each other.
How churches can be culturally relevant: preach the gospel!

The idealists undoubtedly believe that human ideas and deeds, in order to exercise greater
authority among men, must be invested with a divine sanction. How is this sanction manifested?
Not by a miracle, as in the positive religions, but by the very grandeur of sanctity of the ideas and
deeds: whatever is grand, whatever is beautiful, whatever is noble, whatever is just, is considered
divine. In this new religious cult every man inspired by these ideas, by these deeds, becomes a
priest, directly consecrated by God himself. And the proof? He needs none beyond the very
grandeur of the ideas which he expresses and the deeds which he performs. These are so holy
that they can have been inspired only by God.
Such, in so few words, is their whole philosophy: a philosophy of sentiments, not of real
thoughts, a sort of metaphysical pietism. This seems harmless, but it is not so at all, and the
very precise, very narrow and very barren doctrine hidden under the intangible vagueness of
these poetic forms leads to the same disastrous results that all the positive religions lead to -
namely, the most complete negation of human liberty and dignity.
Ha hahaha You're Awesome !
Wow this is powerful..i dont know how i feel about this statement..if they had an emoji for that!
You're so right. So then we shouldn't speak out against abortion either.
Well said Theresa. Some of us have become lukewarm in our faith as well as in our convictions. As we see injustices take place, we stand on the sidelines and observe, but never become engaged in the conversation to bring forth change. Maybe we need to ask ourselves, “Are we Hot, Cold, or Lukewarm?”

When social justice becomes the new soteriology in the church, then it is simply another gospel.
That's not a fair assessment on your part to assume that.
.... and Galatians, Chapter One addresses this very thing: another gospel...

Be more concerned with ETERNAL justice, not social justice!
Why not both? Jesus was concerned about eternal and social justice
@@lisamariposa473 maybe we do not have a clear definition. Of social justice. Jow do you define it. Maybe we need to start there because Jesus was concerned about justice if he is the final prophet. So what do you think social justice is?

Although voluntarily, he redistributed his wealth. It id interesting that you mention Paul.

This will be just as difficult as the last battle, but I think God means for this battle to be won so that orthodoxy will be more firmly entrenched in the sufficiency of
Scripture.
John 6:11-15 NASB
Jesus then took the loaves, and having given thanks, He distributed to those who were seated; likewise also of the fish as much as they wanted. [12] When they were filled, He said to His disciples, "Gather up the leftover fragments so that nothing will be lost." [13] So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. [14] Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world." [15] *So Jesus, perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone.*
Also, the enslavement to sin has no color lines! You must look at it from a Biblical perspective.
1 Corinthians 2:1-16 NASB
And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

Is wokeness the lukewarmness that is warned of in Revelations?
Not necessarily, lukewarm really refers to those who aren’t really going out for Christ. Because you can have the SJW types really be doing good things for Christ still. The SJW stuff is just a huge hypocrisy forming on the church
@@jermoosekek1101 Thank you. It is interesting to consider the gospel of wokeness as compared to the actual gospel. When you are doing good works for God vs good works for wokeness.

@Nelson's Rudolph ah, so you just troll everywhere i see. The cross must be foolishness to you
Get back to the word, not the world.
Nelson's Rudolph what’s a Hitler dog? Nobody worships Donald Trump lol.
Nelson's Rudolph you have personal issues to deal with
I thank God greatly that I am able to hear Dr- J. Vernon McGee and I am in agreement with his attitude even on apologetics. The church is more in danger of being ignorant to what God’s Word says than what intersectionality is saying.
Folks , J Vernon McGee would say about right after the rapture many people will go to the churches looking for answers for why so many people are disappeared && in many churches nobody will be missing , , , , , , something to think about , seriously ,
I want to engage the culture like Jesus. And like the early church.
Agreed!!!!
i just discovered this archive of wisdom
Thank you for this very helpful conversation. May the Lord bless you all.
This is excellent! It’s important to understand the truth behind this dangerous movement and know why we can’t afford to ignore it.
Great Minds. I hope this wakes sleeping christians up to the things that are creeping in on us
I stand in prayer with you.
As an anti-woke atheist--this is fascinating. In many respects, people like this are allies in this world of antifa and critical theorists.
Notice how God says justice and not social justice
Could you tell me another country out there that has better anti racist anti bigotry and laws of equality for all their citizens besides America? Did not Jesus say nation will rise against nation and people against people? This is the last days for sure my friend.
@@Gabriel.1985.
Yes, justice is not God's only duty but it we cannot deny it from His character, just as much as you can't deny LOVE, PEACE, JOY, MERCY, GRACE, etc, are just as much a part of His character.
Outstanding. Much needed.

This gives me hope.
Great group of teachers but they need to understand that no matter what the Church does it's God's word that will change the person but not the world, and the world is going to hell in a hand basket as per Gods grand plan. Maranatha!!
Flee in this church ❤️
Social justice = revenge and retribution
No place for ANY of that in God's kingdom.
@Nelson's Rudolph Why are you commenting on this thread? You are not espousing any Christian values.
Neither is it colonialism or racism but white evangelicals had no problem using that
Someone on stage laughed at "...do do..." and I couldn't be happier about that 🤣 great video!
If I ask for justice I would be dead. I thank my Father God for his grace.

Psalm 2.
Jesus did not come to establish “social Justice” ; He came to save us sinners.
stevensonrf, and what will the world be like when He is on the throne?
Michael Brickley It will be a new heavens and a new earth. No more sin, corruption and death.
stevensonrf, there were so many aspects of Christ come to this earth and the atonement was only part of it.
Michael Brickley the mission of Christ was to save sinners from death.
stevensonrf, that was His sole purpose?
Let it happen.
Read Mathew 13:24-30
BTW...
Voddie nails it with this trend of “new hermeneutics” and a “new cannon”. Scripture (the WORD of God) must be the authority.
The Lord is Sovereign... PERIOD

The gospel of the Kingdom of God is not an American gospel or a gospel that has to be customised for a particular country. The gospel is of Christ. People are to be called from outside their cultural settings to believe and accept the culture of the Kingdom of God.

I like Viddie slot. When he was telling his story I was thinking how I knew white kids from the wrong side of tracks treated same way. I know I've felt the ippressiin of not getting treated fairly as an attractive woman at jobs. CEOs would spout their aexu remarks. I was young and quiet. It shook me and shaped me. In a world of Darkness, social justice is an oxymoron
This is the best comment sexion ever. Have you Seen all these? Imma write some of these down, they're Awesome
Listen to the second guy that spoke. He called the secular social justice string being pulled "WORLDLY PHILOSOPHY". The man brought up MLK J.r. who Voddie called a liberal Neo-Marxist socialist. I am watching the video right now for the first time. I called it almost three weeks ago, "VAIN PHILOSOPHY", but my mom who is christian did not agree, nor understand. I am definitely not a common thinking disciple in Christ. And when you are thinking so outside the basic thinking Christian who could be spiritual leaders as well as congregation members, focused with the mind of Christ, you will likely experience a black sheep outcast type of solo artist lone ranger type of feeling.
I don't deny racism exists nor do I deny sexism nor do I discriminate in such ways. We are all created in the image of God. People please attempt to understand what vain philosophies exist in this world when you hear or see it in some article. Ask God for wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual understanding. All Scriptures are inspired of God. This is all you need to be equipped and complete in Christ as a worker of God.
Nuts and bolts, this was great 🙏🏾
This is so good
There is a lot of simple to understand principles and precepts in the gospels that the Methodist social justice contradicts.
15:30 Ultimately an attack on the sufficiency of Scripture. Amen
The people advocating social justice are not my brothers in Christ. They teach the doctrines of man
Brother, if you would ponder on this kindly:
"Those then who tell us: You are not our brothers, are saying that we are pagans...If they say, 'Why do you seek us? What do you want of us?', we should reply: You are our brothers. They may say, 'Leave us alone. We have nothing to do with you.' But we have everything to do with you, for we are one
in our belief in Christ; and so we should be in one body, under one head...they will only cease to be [our brothers] when they no longer say our Father."
- Discourse on Psalms, Augustine of Hippo
Brother, not all who look for social justice are liberal heretics who deny the centrality of the gospel, who detheologize the Word of God; most are people who find it difficult to disobey the commandments of their Lord who demands that justice be done on this earth, precisely because of the full restorative justice we eagerly look for at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The people who support and defend white supremacy, and refuse to denounce it as sin, are not my brethren.
@Tobias Grant
Yes, but have no brotherhood with racist, or those who defend it.
Jay Mac White supremacy is about #637 on the list of threats to Christians in America and worldwide. Social Justice supremacy might be #1.
How wonderful the Churches and we individuals are having to face an embodied Devil, just as our Society including most Churches, has lost it's Godly intelligence. The only thing that will save us from the Devil's wish for
our total destruction, is a return to God's Understanding. Thank you for this discussion.
Amazing discussion!
GREAT DISCUSSION THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. PLEASE CREATE A SURVEY WE CAN PUT ON OUR WEBSITES THAT WILL REVEAL THE NON-BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW OF THE PARTICIPANT. SO MANY DON'T EVEN SEEM TO REALIZE THAT THEY ARE NON CHRISTIAN IN THEIR COMMITMENT TO SOCIAL JUSTICE. VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE A TOOL THAT CLEARLY REVEALS SUCH PEOPLE TO THEMSELVES.
I just found your guy ministry and I appreciate what you are doing
Hey. I think if you have the backdrop of the discussion then it may help answer some of the questions you raised in your comment. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/YFNOP2IqwoY/видео.html
This is the problem with this video in ny opinion. It is like they throw the baby out with the bathwater. I still do not know who they are talking about.

("you"/"your" =/= Kris, you - but the general you)
Moses fought for GOD'S people per God's mandate. Did the NT martyrs ( and the martyrs in church history "speak out" about the unjustness of their treatment. It is not the mission of the church. We are told to go out and make disciples
And those that subvert truth are wolves in sheep clothing. Also read psalm 55and look who David said was his enemies in verses 13,14
Gabriel well said
social justice is not identicle to the gospel (certainly not the postmodern social justice), but the general sense of social justice is a good thing that should be pursued by gospel believing people, and my worry, though I admire these men, is that their language is erroneously leading to the false dichotomy that it's gospel or social justice, where as I think it's both and (social justice in a general sense, not the acceptance of postmodern values like homosexuality)

It is clear that our society and the rest of the world have adopted heretical
Doctrine driven by their own sinful self-centered nature.
Justice, much like salvation, is an individual action
Luckily I'm an independent fundamentalist so our congregation is desperately governed by our church and no change to our fundamentals.
Prov 3:5,6
Rest in His Grace and Mercy, God bless you all

social justice ideology is a danger to the gospel message and we need to address it, and talk about how we're conducting justice ministry.
Ask Nelson Rudolph. He knows all about it.

Well put!
