So for anyone trying to do this in a new version, filmora will notice what youre trying to do and put the watermark on the video, not the black part. What you need to do is double your videos height (so if youre doing standart 1920x1080) you put resolution as 1920x2160. You will put the video that you want on top and some random video on the bottom. Now the watermark is on the video you dont care about on the bottom and you can cut it out in a free editor like cap cut or clipchamp. No quality lost, as you will cut your video from 1920x2160 to 1920x1080. Hope this helps.
