Absolutely incredible! Amazing co-ordination of so many people. Fantastic gimbal.
I'm curious how this was a "Oner"? From the first scene to the second the hand position on the ronin changes, the hand grips go from facing towards the sky to facing towards the ground. This happens multiple times throughout the shoot.
I'm pretty sure you're seeing BTS from many different takes, not only the actual take. ("Oners" usually require a LOT of rehearsals & takes.) Unlikely the BTS camera-op was able to get good vantages in only 1 take and hence each edit in this piece is probably from a different take. And, they probably tweaked the handle positions a few times until all the operators were happy.
That was BLOODY AWESOME! Man, technology sure has gone far in to the future since I studied multimedia design in film in college. Wow!

What a tease.... Brain Storm is an episode of Stargate Atlantis, and a regular character in the series is named 'Ronin' .......
The real challenge is sound mixing and wireless live video in such complex environment. Nothing about drones technology really breakthrough in this video. The only message for producer from DJI is: we reduce the cost on complex scene!

I am giving serious thought to purchasing a DJI Vision 2 rather than a vision 2+. Are there compelling reason or reasons to buy the 2+ to start with, other than the extra battery? Also, trying to keep my overhead to a bare minimum, is there a way to purchase the extra cost gimbals of one of the types sold by DJI AND use the stock HD camera that comes with the Vision 2? This would negate the need to purchase another camera and store in a box the one that comes with the craft. Anyhow, just thought it would be fantastic to have a gimbal system on a waypoint-guided flight since it produce very stable transitional footage of the entire path as well as allow FPV-Flight should you want to deviate from the waypoints . Thanks in advance for any info you can give, friend. PS - enjoyed the hell out of your videos so far.

***** professionals, though $2,999 for this is actually a HUGE reduction from what it has been, as it's main competitor was the MoVi M10 which sat at $15,000. This gimbal can hold up to 16lbs which mainly mean professionals can put the RED epic on it (a $40k camera.) This is really exciting for the low/mid range budgets.
***** People who aren't doing no-budget cinematography. This isn't for backyard, invite the neighbors, high school home movies. Seriously, if you think $3,000 dollars is a lot of money, go look at what everything else costs. Lights, stands, cameras, lenses, audio, support gear, accessories...if you want low budget film making and are starting from scratch, you can easily spend $10k to 15k unless you're DIYing everything which in some cases can easily kill your production value.

Will I ever buy this stuff? Probably not. But, with a little bit of research you can easily find out the price bracket in which this gear is applicable. SDubist I don't agree on the ' $3000 dollars is a low budget' thing. Yes it can be low budget compared to millions, but $3000 is a huge budget considering by far the most (aspiring) filmmakers have to do with a budget of ranging from zero to let's say 100 bucks. From $100 is quite some money for the starters. 100-3000$ is a world of difference and I don't agree on calling both of them 'low budget'. Besides, budgets lower than $3000 shouldn't be called 'completely DYI'...
Hi guys you guys shed some light on the clamp that you use on both the cable rig and the crane to freely latch and unlatch the ronin rig?
I see this Gimbal on pre order in B&H.. but HOW MUCH it is? :)

how you've changed aperture or shutter or ISO, when camera went out from indoor(room) to outdoor? many options of camera (exposure) have changed when camera went out to outdoor. how have you done it?

Johannes Rieche How about DJI backs up one of their own products before releasing 10 more? Because all of their flight control systems have been constantly failing and a few of their gimbals are occasionally faulty...
BigBird FPV I wouldn't necessarily say all of their flight control systems are failing. My Phantom 2 is doing just fine after 30+ flights.

Is it user error when you are on a boat chasing it FPV with your quad in manual mode and after 5 minutes of chasing you have no elevator control in manual and only backwards elevator control in gps atti + atti? Because that happened to me. Or when the failsafe lands it 1/2 a mile away from takeoff even though everything was done correctly? Because that's happened to me. DJI, your controllers fly great and I love the- but I can't use them if they fail like that.
