Have this exact compressor which I purchased from CPO Outlets. Two days ago, plugged the compressor in, it turned over a few times then stopped. Did a youtube search to diagnose, and your video came up suggesting to check the fuse. Lo and behold, the fuse had popped. Reset it. Works great once again.
There's no question this compressor likes current. Avoid plugging into an exterior wall outlet if at all possible.
    Appreciate this video. Thanks much.

Happy to help! It’s definitely power hungry and if it’s at all cold it won’t start. I usually put a halogen light under the oil tank. Takes about 20 min and good to go. Thanks for watching!

Thank you. Just watched your video because my brand new dewalt compressor had just shut off and I didn't even realize it had a breaker on it. I was ready to send it back, would've been a lot of trouble for nothing!... so thanks for the video!

My husband just passed and I have this compressor in the garage. Your video showed me some good things about upkeep but I need to know how to use it. I asked him to show me several times but guess what? He thought there would be enough time. Now I have no clue how to use it. Maybe a video for dummies.

Cool, just remember to drain that air. That’s the biggest issue with it.

Will this compressor run a orbital sander and a HVLP paint gun?

Hey man...I just bought one of these brand new at our local pawn shop...for $200. I checked it for oil when I started it at the shop and ran it for a few seconds. It started fine but I didn't run it til it shut off. When I got it home I verified the oil and ran it to full pressure. Right as it reached pressure and shut off, the oil cap blew off and it spewed a bit of compressor oil onto the underside of the housing. The cap it seems was the "shipping cap" which I kind of figured but the fact that it blew it off completely concerned me just a bit. I just ordered an original OEM dipstick from Amazon and will not use the compressor until it comes in tomorrow so I can check the oil properly before I ruin a great deal. My question is have you ever had the dipstick shoot out of the housing right at the end of run cycle and is it normal for the pressure to transfer into the oil sump?
