People are saying that Bare Knuckle posted this already but I certainly never saw it so thanks for uploading it here. I’m curious to see the final product.
I believe both Abomasum and Genghis were written in Drop C and taken into Drop A afterwards just so that it has a wider range from low notes to higher ones. You can tell because when he plays the excerpts in this and other demos, it kinda gels well with Drop C but Drop A is where it cemented those songs to those even darker vibes. Dunno, just the way i'm thinking of it, but i'd be glad to be wrong about it, either way, kicking tracks
@@TheCoronaMortis Owh the hybrid picked hammer-on thing? Yeah, it's kinda his thing now, more evident in the demo song for the pickups after the intro and first verse kind of thing. That way of playing inspired a few of my songs as well, never really knew how fun playing in drop tunings was until i discovered Bea's playing
9:22 to 9:43 sum it up. This is what has me intrigued because it's the holy grail: "It'd be really great to have the power that I need when I dig in, but then when I play softer, it needs to chill out with me and go into those...and allow me to play dynamically and softer." 🙌🏻
Got the news that my Silo loaded Aristides H/08 is finished and shipping out next week, decided to come back to this video to hype myself up for my first use of this set
This is the same vid as Bare Knuckle already posted! Was hoping for more of a making of the pickup with some of Tim's knowledge/thoughts. I wannna know if Tim guessed correctly, and why?!
Man, I kinda lost track of your channel lately thanks to youtube algo shenanigans. It's so good to see how things are going right for you, congratulations ! Also : is this a crossover episode ?!
Now you're with the likes of Johnny Marr and have your own BARE KNUCKLE pickup! Yep, I'd say you deserve it man! One heck of a player versus the rest of the online personalities from the guitar world and joining the ranks of people like Pete Thorn, because you're getting into his space quickly at this point! The only thing Johnny has that you don't, that *JAGUAR,* I absolutely love my JAGUAR over all strat, tele, and Gibson guitars I've ever played. I don't know why more people don't jump onto a Jaguar, they resonate so freaking hard that you feel it vibrating your hand while you're playing.
I am getting some silos, due their clarity and dynamics the grit is subjective to me because at high gain levels most pickups sound very similar, to me aggressive sound is achieve in the source, is how you play and your relation with the gear you have
Ordered the brighe last week cant wait to have it still deciding onna single coil neck though haha been wwiting for years for bk to give u a signature pickup
@@josuastangl7140 His bass playthrough of Prayer Position inspired me to start playing bass. Which than inspired me to work harder at playing guitar. Now I'm working on both and getting better everyday. I hit a dry spell for many years but he got me going again.
Seems like a modified alnico nailbomb with more saturation with an extended low end/growl. Very organic like the nailbomb. Don’t forget, the nailbomb has a commanding voice like the warpig. So they all have similarities.
I'm contemplating trying these in my new professional telecaster silverburst deluxe in drop B. Do any of you have something better in mind for that? (HB)
Quite a bright-wooded guitar, as Fenders often are, so the Silo with its controlled top, pronounced mids and punchy bottom is quite a good match, IMO. I'm sure it'll sound wicked. I'd also consider the Crawler and Juggernaut in that output range, or Ragnarok/Warpig if you want to push your amp harder. Stay clear of the Nailbomb and the Painkiller, too much top end for your particular guitar (imo, any guitar, really - pre-scooped pups are a crime). The Aftermath is the one I'll be putting in my guitar - but it's a mahogany-mahogany neck-thru, I need to rein in the bass, push the mids and top while remaining articulate for my particular sound (in drop A).
@@LuxTheSlav hi dude some advise for me ? i have a prs se single cut , mohogany body and ebony freatboard , i like the rabea stuff (epic ambient) but i also like chugg (tool , killswicth engage) , those silo are a good chice for my guitar or you have better tips ?
@@lyrasimo The Silo could be fine, but if it has a mahogany body and neck, I'd suggest something brighter and tighter. Out of BKP, the Aftermath for a more modern tone, or Abraxas for a more vintage voicing. Honestly, you can't go wrong with BKP. Just mind the output, you'd struggle to clean up something like a Warpig.

More than happy to watch again!
dsp neural rabea it´s the only missing.
Good news my man

The tones where you’re playing congress is sick. Genghis sounds awesome in Drop C!

@@Axel_Xirics_Music You can see how the parts in Illumo is exactly the same as Genghis almost. Especially the hybrid section.

I personally like the purple color of the prototype in the bridge position.
Fantastic sounding pickups.
The Silo is amazingly versatile!
What woods is Reba’s guitar made out of?

what a beast Rabea is!
Great vid, love the process and tones to get to the silo. Just getting a set put in your sig, going to be sick.
Hell yeah Brother!! Congrats! Sounded EPOCH from here. Can't wait for a proper test firing or us fans!
I am ordering a set for a hotrodding project of one of my classic fender guitars they sound awesome and right up my alley
They sound amazing. I put Bare Knuckles in many of my guitars. My favorite so far is the Juggernauts, but I gotta try these.
I love seeing the payoff of what obviously resulted from years in the woodshed, honing in your chops and style. Rock on. :)
Not only a great player but seems like a great dude too. 👍
Awesome!!! Thanks!!
So sick! I will be getting a set when I get my next guitar

Hey folks I can't be the only one who is no between buying these and the Ragnarok's. Bea we need a shoot out pretty please with distortion on top
Do these suit standard tuning players like the alnico nailbomb does?
Nice place!!!!
Third degree gurns 😂😂😂 stealing that 🤘
