"Hey Google; how do I do that thing that Rabea does at 6:20?"
Bea deserves it. Absolutely one of my favorite players around. I love his style(s) and he's just such a cool guy.
And then there is his best mate Rob 'Riff City' Crapman. The dirty nappy of the music world. Like two sides of a weirdly ill forged coin.
@@ErraticFaith Dirty nappy of the music world. That might actually be the finest insult I've ever heard 🤣🍻
I love nolly instantly vibing with Bea’s riffs
We need a band with Bea, Nolly, Dave and Ben.
If Nolly gets on board with them, the world will literally explode
Only one minor / major detail, the Periphery folks might not enjoy it first time around knowing Nolly's history
But then again, i do think they know that Nolly would be in a good circle anyway
@@lokibane4939 nolly is primarily a guitarist
Loki Bane he wrote extraneous from Periphery’s Clear EP, i don’t know of any other songs he’s made though.
Loki Bane please, go to a nolly guitar vid. Like the vid from his signature plugins. Simply amazing
To add to some of the comments here, Dave is a stellar guitar player too.
The future of tone is in good hands! Ill soon be 55 years of age, and I'm glad we have so many young artists that inspire those of my age. Cheers!
this is really really cool, it's nice to see companies working that hard to give the best products to their artists
I see Bea and Nolly in his Studio I *LIIIIIKKE*
Oh man. Such a fantastic group of dudes. It's the perfect storm of tonal discovery.
More of this kind of pickup please! Guitarists like Mark Tremonti come to mind who have super heavy sections, but also are known to have ambient fills in their songs. I'm a huge fan of this level of versatility. I lean toward heavier music, but I also appreciate a good clean/ambient tone.
So great that you guys decided to document this!
Its fun to watch the whole procedure of making this amazing pickup absolutely love Bare knuckels one thing that is so interesting about tim is he always knew what the artist would like in advance he did the same thing in ragnarok pickups also and with Adam nolly they make a brilliant team
Very well deserved! Rabea is a very talented person in many things, I'm glad he keeps getting more chances to show that.
You just nailed it !!!!!
And it's just beautiful seeing Bea walking that incredibly beautiful path of sound, surrounded by people understanding him and making the Magic happen with him ! Respect and gratitude to all of you for that Magic ...
I love seeing such a genuine person have success.
3 degree gurn! Haha was so cool watching Nolly and Tim react to your playing. So much awesome in one room!
just ordered my silo humbuckers and I'm so fucking excited!
We hope you like them!
Congrats Bea, lots of respect to Tim.
Very epic stuff, and props to the folk who filmed and edited it, very nice piece
Great riffs and inspiration!. I wanna go get my guitar and practice now!
Unreal mate so cool to see, can’t wait to hear them in person soon 🤘
Looking good Rabea!
At 5:20 ....when Nolly stops what he’s doing and puts his full attention on you, you’re doing something right.
6:27 lost my head with that harmonic
Don't you question yourselves why Bare Knukles is working whith Mister Rabea Massaad !? ...
Because he is just one of the best. These are mu next pick-ups. Thanks Man.
Hello - would love to know where you got those flip-up arm chairs!
Do tell @Rabea Massaad
Holy shit...my brain can barely comprehend the otherworldly tones in this...so many of them :D
That is the best way to search and find the sound what you can get and you want to hear. That's awesome! :D
I feel like I will love the silo. The warpig and nailbomb are my favorite bridge pick ups
Holy crap. These sound insane.
Every freaking pickup will sound great on these amps! But honestly this is awesome!
interesting to have a small glimpse at the process
Badass congrats Rabea. You are why I found bare knuckle and use bare knuckle.
Bea is probably one of my favorite modern guitarist
I wish this were about 10 times longer
The reliced chapman is so cool!
I tried the Silo bridge as my first high output BKP and it's remained my favorite. It's my number one. It sounds good all the way up and down the fretboard! I don't even need a neck pickup, though I still have one.
Very cool!
Ordered a juggernaut bridge a couple weeks ago...and wish I had seen this first.
Oh well. 8 string Silo order placed today! I also love the Warpig the most so far, so I have high hopes. Thanks dudes.
Any pickup would sound amazing through that Friedman, but that blue silo sounds INCREDIBLE. I need a set with bea's afro logo!
I feel like every guitarist these days Is saying the same thing. "I want it to be able to play super brutal gain stuff but also sparkly clean ambient stuff. AND it should have clarity so you can hear every note in the chord."
Oh yeah too common, only the words were different.
I mean, a good hunk of us have been asking for pickups like that since ‘08.
It's not really every guitarist as much as it's just a lot of players surrounding the progressive metal scene because that's exactly what they play in a lot of their music - high distortion angry stuff and ambient cleans. It makes sense to want that, for them.
Versatility is key with that kind of music though. It's nice to see we're finally on the cusp of having both without sacrifice. It opens up what you can do live without having to do a 2 footed dance on stage. I've been searching for the same thing for years now. Trick is making a pickup that's very responsive without being wound too hot. Seems like Tim's got the secret sauce, can't fathom how much work it's taken to get here though.
I’ve been going back and forth for months trying to decide which pickups to buy, completely overlooking these. But for my PRS, this is prob the best option. Looking forward to refreshing my sound.
🤘🏽
rabea is amazing
Bogner shiva 20th anniversary is one of my all time favorite amps
Great video, interesting to see what comes in line when creating a pickup.
I would love to hear your pickup in your PRS... I’m searching a new set for my Custom 22.
I don't have the pickups and I'm already enjoying it. 🤷♂😊
Nolly Bea in the same room is so insane! Fucking love this
Yup am buying what he is having:)
🔥🔥🔥
Will there be a single coil sized humbucker version of the silo to fit in the neck position of Bea's signature guitar?
If you were still wondering and looking for a reply, he uses a Seymour Duncan Little 59 in the neck, better late than never eh?
This is like watching an Avenger’s movie. Superheroes from different channels showing up together!
Nolly headbobbing to some toska. You can't avoid it, these riffs are some tasty creations.
I like how Tim is man of few words but he can see the future. Nolly is like zeus!! Bea ...ohm..that percussive rhythm lead playing on the clean channel!!!!
Perfect description.
Nolly is a god. All hail Nolly!
"There are many ways to describe the power of the Warpig." (Y)
Do someone know what he play at 3:35 ? That's beautifull
2:54 sneaky little juggernaut tease
Wonder which amp or plug-in Bea played through.
hey... what chair with folding arms?
Seamaster 👌🏼
Hey Nolly - if you are reading this: what kind of desk is this? I'm in the market for a new one and this one looks incredible beautiful.
adriangrizzly a white one
GetGudDesks
Definitely see the Nuno in his playing.
What do you think man... replace the JB on the Mayones Regius with a Silo?
Anyone can help me what style of playing is that at 5:35 to me its like muted tapping of some sort. please! i'd love to learn that style :)
Are we not going to talk about the fact his sig is turned around, but also had different pickups in his ox-box video a couple of days ago?
I think I may have narrowed down my pickups after watching this.
So wait, nolly works with bare knuckle pickups? Works WITH or works FOR??????
🤯🤯🤯🤯
Holy shit at @5:20 i need that in a fucking song ASAP. That riff was soooo good.
Amazing insight into custom pickup design but it left me with one question, how stoned was bea in the talking head pieces?
Baretoe pickups
I've tried a lot of pickups but the Silos may be my favorite yet. The typical jargon (huge bass but not flubby, cutting mids but not boxy, sparkling treble but never harsh, etc..) is terribly cliche but it actually all pretty well applies to this set. The neck maybe leaves me a tiny bit wanting (a bit lacking in personality ime)
100% agree. My set is in an lp. The Bridge one is the best bridge pickup ever for me, the neck one is also cool but apparently its hard for me to balance it to the bridge pu. For some reason its rather too bass heavy or when i set it a little further from the string it lacks output/power
5:20 I noticed that Keith is here
That VH4 *.*
Bare Knuckle make some top kit
Man the pickups sound really nice but what I really need in my life is an office chair with foldable arms like those xD anyone know any details on this particular model?
Looks like a Herman Miller
@@TheEchelon I'm also looking at those, but their definately not anywhere near cheap.
Its like Satch's pickups but has metal territory.
Tone is subjective for certain. I dial in a tone I think is nice and enjoy playing. The next day the same tone sometimes sounds not so good at all. I think it depends on which frequency my tinnitus is ringing at.
I have those Seymour Duncan Jimmy Page rip off pups. Tried lots since the late 80s and they are the ones I like best so far. They have that slight compression you talked about and how it affects the feel when playing, i.e., they can be silky smooth. I have not played a real PAF, but I also wonder why so many of those guitar legends had them modded, e.g. wax potting, different magnets, more winds, etc. I also have not tried BKP -- yet. When the internet says BKP or Katana is best etc, I head in the other direction. Dedicated unfollower of fashion. Then I will try things sometimes when the hype is over to see if it was deserved praise or just a trend (one way to tell a trend is if the product is selling used in huge numbers a few months later).
I am torn between pups like Super Distortion or Gibson 500T hot ceramic, or on the other hand low output humbuckers, or single coils. It depends on my mood. Hot pups are fun, but not the best at times if i want more classic tones like Page or Gary Moore etc. Pete Thorn says to use low output pups and just use a boost if you want a hotter signal. Makes sense, but the sound of hot pups is different I think. That is essentially what an EMG is btw. Just the boost circuit is inside the pickup instead of on the floor (it's a fairly low output pup turned into a high output one by the preamp. I remember their blurb was something like output of hot pickups, but clarity of low output ones).
ps. BKP: With pickups, what is the key to getting note separation with chords when using fuzz or distortion? I like a bit of distortion at times, but I still want all the notes of a chord to be heard, rather than mush together.
Didn't know Mike Mangini makes pickups
1:52 Getting some real weird movement in my LF woofers......
Bea @5:33 OMG!!FUCKING monster riffs!!!
got good
Did you use logic or pro tools when recording the guitars
The world knows Bare Knuckle, who’s this guy?
You've been living under a rock mate?
One of the most famous users of Bare Knuckles. And somebody who deserves a sig set.
I do not know how you can say they sound great with all the processing
Do you like the sounds you're hearing? If so, they're good, if not, then not so much. It's not rocket science. Why would he demo pickups in a manner that he wouldn't use them?
He is playing through a tube amp. You see him flicking the switches on the Marshall head. You're clueless.
@@karmatarchen7539 Friedman*
asked cust9omer service if it will take much longer untill the silos come out or else ill get a brute force for the time being they said yes 1 week later silos come out and im broke for a few months ....bk broke my heart
OK so it's a softer warpig based on what I'm hearing and reading? Also confirmed - Nolly's voice cures cancer.
why not create a pickup for bruno mars?
Making a pickup set that stands the test of time makes sense to me. Having something that's still valid to you and your paying 5 or 10 or 20 years down the road makes sense.
Also something that never made sense to me was how Misha put out two pickup sets. Juggernauts we the fire when they came out and everyone bought them but I never thought they sounded that good. Then the rags came out and the cycle repeated.
It makes more sense to me to have one pickup set that works for your whole playing style.
I am now between these and the Ragnarok set going into my PRS SE SVN. Someone do a shootout plz.
Justin Gosselin just curious, why not keep the alpha omega set in there?
Buying the SVN soon
@@tylersaltmarsh9025 I don't think it comes stock with those? I'm getting the $820 model, not the Holcomb signature model. And to my ears/style of music the alpha omega are a little harsh and thin all the way around.
The Silo might be my 3rd BKP I'd purchase since Aftermath and Cold Sweat. BTW who knows what song Bea played at the beginning of the video?
Going get ibanez rg 6520
Adam Gnarly GetGood.
bea looks like he needs a coffee in this lol
5:14 i likes
5:30 now, teach me that!
Do you know the song?
@@fehdmohmid2307 Abomasum
Like theres not enough pickups in the market as to go and have one custom made
The Communist yeah that’s what I mean. They sound as good as everything on the market which isn’t a bad thing. I just don’t feel it is necessary especially when a company like bareknuckle has like a million different pups
Bea Archetype plugin confirmed.
Gonna sell like hot cakes
That place needs Tom Brady style house ugg slippers for visitors.
3rd degree gurn! LOL
What's all the fuss about this guy? Am I missing something? These RUclips guitar players are boring.
Its like Satch's pickups but has metal territory.
I was thinking the same, dude!
