I am slow so please bear with me. If I understand you correctly, 1,3,4 will be major chords. so if I was to do an A chord scale, it would be A,Bm,Cm,D,E,Fm and for B chord scale, B,Cm,Dm,E,F,Gm, is this correct?
Nice video content! Excuse me for butting in, I would love your opinion. Have you considered - Rozardner Inspiring Chord Reality (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for how to play guitar scales without the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my close friend Aubrey finally got amazing results with it.
It looks like a nice guitar...have you ever played one or it? I believe Music Villa carries the Yamaha series. You should chat with Chad acousticletter.com/shop/

Major chords are the 1, 4, and 5. You listed the two scales correctly, though.

Is this what Carol Kaye is talking about?
Cristal clear. Now hope I can find the next lesson...
what if im in the key of-lets say- a minor?
we are only looking at Major Keys at the moment. I will cover minor keys soon.
that makes perfect sense... i guess u use a minor scale for that?
For a minor key, chords are always:
1st: minor
2nd: diminished
3rd: Major
4th: minor
5th: minor
6th: Major
7th: Major
