I just got this pedal a couple of days ago and its is an amazing pedal. I have been using it as a preamp and its crushingly good. Its basically a 3 channel pedal with great gain and an amazing eq section to dial in any metal tone. Note to those who use it as a preamp. Crank the Treble and presence and the pedal comes alive!!! Excellent pedal, two thumbs up, 5/5, would buy again :-). Its really good.

Your guitar is in stereo: the Gehenna is not a stereo pedal, so, you've applied stereo processing in some way. It doesn't sound like double tracking to me. Extra info on how you achieved this will help us understand how this pedal might help us in our own applications. Also, you are playing in C standard tuning: a good thing to mention (unless I missed it?). This pedal would sound very different in standard E tuning, for example.

There's a demo on Taylor Danleys channel and he focuses on use n the loop :) Needs drastically different settings there of course but the sweep of each knob has enough range to make it work there as well :)
That really is a sweet sounding pedal :-) I do appreciate your incredibly regular and thorough testing of the coolest gear as both your high gain metal tones and melodic yet heavy riffs are exactly what I like. Stuff like the full-fat Rectifier is a bit out of my budget but the PRS MT15 seems to be such great value it's almost too good to be true, so I love that you feature it a lot in your videos. Has helped me decide that in the new year I will be getting the MT15 as my very first tube amp. Think I'll have to pair it with this Gehenna pedal. Have to decide on a cab though, the 4x12" Mesa oversized always sounds great in any demo I've watched but wanting to keep it to a similar price to the amp, I think the 1x12" would be the logical choice. What does the 'active EQ' mean btw, as in the difference between active and passive EQ? Does active mean the signal amplified before/after being EQ'd? Thanks!

Every amp/guitar reviewer has got a wall, and when I mean wall……holy crap…..Do reviews get free gear or just have killer paying jobs or maybe actually touring musician……Maybe all of the above. Did orange make 4 different amp heads? Idk im gonna worry about me I mean my wife and start finding a way to smuggle amps in my studio and make a foldable wall to hide them only to be revealed when I do my videos for gear reviews. We're currently running a darkglass harmonic booster (bass) as preamp to rectifier lol. This looks like a great alternative. And 8 string sounded pretty damn good (@7:37🔥🔥)

Thanks, man! It's actually quite a challenge to get tightness and dynamics done at the same time: for tightness you gotta cut low end, where a lot of the dynamics lie!

If you cannot afford the insane price tag on this pedal I suggest you check out the JoJo chopper z pedal it is a dual overdrive with a cab simulator built-in and a noise gate built in... Is a beast of a pedal and it's like 50 bucks
They don't! Just connect it to a 9V center negative power supply - all our designs are made for use with external power supplies, not batteries: they draw lots of current and would drain batteries too fast.

You can get it to sound like almost any amp but it definitely has its own voice! The difference in amp sounds is usually mainly in the gain structure and the mids: on the Gehenna you can dial in both with the Cut and the dual mid control 😊

It does! It has insane amounts of gain even without any boost - there’s actually a boost section hardwired into it already 😊

It’s rather high gain but with the Gain an Cut set low and rather tamed PAF style pickups it sounds great for classic and hard rock as well 🙂

Tried to design it as pedal-unlike as possible 😊 this fed into a clean amp is at least another color for the palette I’d say 🙂
