    We used to live in the South East, and any stair carpet we had fitted, was always folded round, and fixed under each step. We moved to the Midlands, and fell out with the carpet fitters, because they hadn't fitted the carpet the way we were used to. Having had them back, to do it our way, they agreed that it looked better. Any thoughts?

    Never heard pile direction mentioned, didn't crimp the sides over, helps to stop it scratching fresh paint on the risers and helps the risers sit better without creasing. When you put it over the nose you didn't crease it first before chiselling it in.

  • @simonleigh7233
    @simonleigh7233 3 месяца назад +4

    You didn’t mention some important factors. Firstly that gripper has to be fitted in the correct way as the metal spikes are pointing in a particular direction. Sec9ndly the carpet pile has a direction and this must be laid correctly And lastly you need to talk about winders and half landings too.
