Cole, I’m a sod farmer and would recommend turf type tall fescue. It’s very tough and withstands traffic from equipment and foot traffic well, has deep roots So it takes less water and stays greener longer. It’s wider bladed and comes in very think. I plant my sod fields at 250-300 lbs per acre and comes in like carpet. Spray Huskie herbicide on after 1-2 mows and it will be clean. On the zone map of grasses that grow where, turf type tall fescue is recommended in Iowa. I sent some to MN for a yard and they love it. I’m in wa state and grow grass seed also. Hope this helps.
The one thing I learned was do not stick to one type of grass seed. If for some reason that type is affected by a blight, or disease you may lose your entire front yard. Multi seed prevents that from happening.
I cant remember the exact soil temperature that bluegrass likes but its some where in the 60s it wont take all that direct sunlight I agree with jay 100% on the tall fescue. also mow it taller to keep the weeds out 3 1/2 to 4 inchs
I grew up in Eastern WA and the weather is similar to Iowa minus the humidity. For us fescue was the way to go. Kentucky bluegrass just didn’t work in our sandy soil.
The place is shaping up Cole. Tell Nave that everybody burns something once in awhile and if they say they don't they're lying. You 2 are so blessed to have each other. God's been good to both of you. Happy 4th and keep up the good work.
Grandkids came to visit and the first thing they wanted was to go watch Cole The Cornstar. They ignored us and went and sat down and both yelled while swinging their arms back said. "We want to watch COLE THE CORNSTAR" lol
I LOVE watching your videos, Cole! You and Nave make such a great couple! Your yard looks awesome - not just the part you did today, but also all the other cleaning and reorganizing you've done. It already looks so much better! I love that you are a man who likes things clean and organized. That's a great quality. My Grandpa's family were farmers, up until around the 1950's. Then, they sold their farm, and my grandpa and his siblings were the last generation who farmed the land. I came upon your videos by accident; however, I have become addicted to them, because they give me a glimpse into what my grandpa's life was like when he was young. I wish he were still here, so I could watch these videos with him. I know he would have absolutely LOVED them! Keep doing what you do. I've learned SO much, already! I appreciate all that you do, and thank you for allowing us to come along on your journey.
Watched Nave video of getting lost in the corn field and now burning the rice ....I think she is an amazing young woman who is so full of life ....eager to put her hand to most this with a smile on her face and a great attitude. It takes a special kind of courage to show the world all of your ups and downs while learning anything .. ..you're doing great Nave . The Cornstar family seem like a very loving and kind bunch .....hard workers ....and nobody loves DC jokes as much as DC ...lol .
I watched Nevas video earlier and made the comment that you two make the best couple! You can see the love between you two!! So happy, caring and adventurous! It such a nice change to see nowadays. Keep up the great videos and wishing you guys a very long and adventurous journey together!! 😁❤️😁❤️
I highly recommend an instant pot. You can make perfect rice every time, plus so much more. You don’t haven’t stand over it watching it. Another tip, since I cooked for 3 sons, brown your meat in a tall pot rather than a skillet. You don’t have to worry about it falling out when turning it and you can add to it to make spaghetti, chili, etc. I also recommend the meat chopper from Pampered Chef. It breaks up the ground beef really well as you cook it so you don’t have big chunks.
I love it when you say ruts, here in the south we say roo-oots! I cannot thank you and Nave and your family enough for your videos. I am a retired teacher, who Praise God, survived cancer. My husband and I, along with our granddaughter have 4 rescue dogs. We have been very limited and careful about where we go because my hubby has a blood disorder. You guys have really really kept me sane. Thanks so much!
Happy July 4th Cornstar Family. Nave burns rice and Cole cleans the pan like new. Glad you continue to work on the yard. Get Cooper out there and tear up the front yard again. The property is shaping up. God Bless.
Thank you for a clean family channel that shows young people that a little hard work goes a long way and it doesn't kill you...lol. I love that your entire family participates and not a one of you have a lazy bone in your body. Your farm looks sooooooo much better now than when I first started watching. Can't wait to see the completion of the house and yard. Keep doing what you're doing. God bless.
As many have mentioned, get her a rice cooker. Just remember that a dry cup and liquid cup are different. The cooker should have both measures. Your best bet is Ky bluegrass, just remember to mow it above 3", to allow the rhizomes to work effectively. It will really make the lawn thicken this way and choke out weeds. If you are one of those lawn scalpers, then stay away for Bluegrass, as it is not for cutting short. A lot of people cut it short and then harp about the results. Of course, you might wish to mix the bluegrass with another seed, as bluegrass gets expensive ($500+ per acre).
I saw fire fly's in your video around 3:50 - 4:06. So cool. I haven't seen fire fly's in years. We don't have them here in Oregon. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and we had them all over the place. I moved away when I went into the Air Force back in 1980. I only go back to visit family.
I'm so jealous of your lawn and garden tractor. I've always wanted one about that size. To reduce maintenance plant it into prairie grass, just mow a wide enough strip next to the house to allow for prairie grass burn off. Watch the wind direction when you burn.
Our Family Adores Your Content & Family. We Are From Ontario Canada & We Grew Up On Farms Also. Thanks For Making A Channel That My Little Boy Adores Watching! Can’t Wait To Purchase Some Merch! ☺️
This is one of the only channels were I hit the thumbs up. That's because Cole mentions it early. Everybody else does it at the end when I'm ready to watch something else.
I think this is the video that you were asking for suggestions about which type of grass to plant. I guess you're looking for something that's going to be durable of an my recommendation is the following a mixture of Kentucky bluegrass, Annual Bluegrass & Perennial Ryegrass. That's what our city uses in the Parks here like Central Park which takes a lot of wear and tear with people walking on the grass and everything and it holds up pretty well through the Heat.
when we seed grass we take a little harrow that we pull behind our fourwheeler and run it over the seeded area to incorporate the seed into the dirt don't know if thats the best way to do it but it works for us. happy fourth everyone.
In northern Indiana we use a mixture of bluegrass, fescue, and perennial rye. Don’t plant until late August and water 3x a day for about 20 minutes each.
I am in NC... KBG does ok here but you might want to consider Fescue?? Though KBG is a Cool Weather grass it is suceptable to extreme heat. Both KBG and Fescue will take work during your hot months. KBG is a grass to be mowed and kept lower. Fescue is a grass to be left at 4-4.5 inches to protect from the heat.
my aunt lives in a old house probably from the early 1900s and a few years ago they dug in there yard to put a pool in and they found this old shoe that looked it was from back in the early 1900s.
That's really not a bad idea, I'm sure there is loads of old goodies around that farm house. just don't go anywhere near where they had the scrap metal, you'll get annoyed real easy with all the nails.
My son and I love watching your videos. We have an family farm in Ohio and he wants to start corn like you guys so we can be like Cole the Corn star...he likes seeing daddy corn start cause it reminds him of his pappaw. Keep up the good work Cole and Nav. Im happy to have a good clean channel to keep my son interested in knowing farming keeps America going. Thanks
I like when Cole says Nave has a defense for burning the pot. It's that she got busy and forgot she was cooking." I'm thinking that IS a pretty good excuse. But when your're that cute (Nave), pretty much any reason at all is acceptable. Even If she said that she did it on purpose to teach the lesson not to take her for granted. hahahahaha. The Cole and Nave segments are a swell part of the Cornstar vids. Looking forward to that farm being more aesthetically pleasing though it already looks like a home. Man! how long have I been watching this channel?. PS. I hate those Pit Viper sun glasses 😎
putting a cup of white vinegar into that burned rice pot, then bringing to a boil, would have worked a whole lot faster than baking soda...no scrubbing required. I agree with other posts -- KY Bluegrass is a ton of work. Go with fescue instead. And plant trees to line the driveway -- makes a grander impression for such a grand home.
Hey Cole, great content. Check up on the Blue Grass. While it is a beautiful lawn, it requires more chemicals than some of the other cool season grasses to keep it looking nice. Have a look at some of the fescue varieties. Might want to include a little rye to get some quick coverage. Nice fine bladed ryes sprout in no time.
I read about this miniclover stuff, too -- when mixed with other grass seeds, it fertilizes the lawn for you. See what you think. www.outsidepride.com/seed/clover-seed/miniclover.html
We call picking up the left over trash from clearing land chunking. I am 14 and in my short life, I have probably chunked in the neighborhood of 18-20 acres. My dad works in his free time in the winter and clears the land. Then I come along in the spring and chunk before we plant the crops. Oh the stories from my grandparents though! I look at fields and think, dang, that musta took awhile.
Not gonna lie, I've had that happen a couple of times and ate it. I must remember there's a pause button and whatever I'm looking at on the net isn't going to go away EVER, the internet never forgets.
Only half an hour left of the holiday where I am in NY state. Still time to wish you a happy Independence Day, Cole. God bless you & your sweet family!
I am no expert on different types of grass seed, but the best I ever used was drought resistant tall fescue. It was very fine bladed grass that felt like velvet on your bare feet, with very thick root systems that would choke out the weeds. I considered the Kentucky blue grass at the time, however it required more care, more water, and more fertilizer whereas the tall fescue just kind of took care of itself other than the mowing.
I am ordering some for my granddaughter she is 10. I started her about 6 months ago and we talk about what they do in the videos. I is the sweetest thing. I hope they have some girly ones.
I saw lightning bugs!! I moved to Oregon from Missouri 9 years ago... and we don't have lightning bugs here. I definitely miss those calm summer nights watching them flicker across the yard.
I recommend using coffee when dealing with burnt pots and pans. Let it sit for a half hour. I learned this after working as a dishwasher at my aunts cafe.
Use a macho mix of fescue and b,use grass. In the early months after winter the blue grass will grow. After it gets hot the blue gras# goes dormant and the fescue kicks in. Fescue handles heat better.
Several times, I had something cooking on the stove and left the kitchen for a while, forgetting about it until I smelled it burning. It helps to set a timer, but only if you stay within hearing range of the timer.
Nave has a pot and a window to throw it out. Glad to see Cole helping Nave. Even on July 4th Cooper is 38 1/2 consecutive hours at the console, and FINDS a way to complete a task, even with everything closed. The theme continues to be a clean Cornstar Farm. When do we get a Cornstar game app? Bermuda grass is the way to go for tough conditions in my experience. It is drought heat and cold resistant, with the best chance of staying green for a long time. Great cameo appearance by Daddy Cornstar.
Kent bluegrass is good for our area. In Ia And when grass. Has a good base of growth. Put either 10/10/10 or13/13/13. It helps it grow good. And if you have grubs. They go away. Along with grubs come gophers, moles. That go after the grubs. By have the grubs go, they go. Cause what they do. Is leave the yard bumpy.
For the area of yard you're covering I'd look at using Ky. 31 fescue. It's hardy but it needs a fair amount of water in the beginning. There's a lot of clay in the soil here in Ky.and it still does well.
I love tour content. Question, when Neva does her rice, does she fry it in oil 1st? She needs a cooking segment if she does. That is how I do mine. Fry it 1st then add onions then add water boil for 5 minutes add cubed veggies and a bullion cube then boil to perfection. With out dorhetting about it. With out burning it. Happy Cooking with Neva. 😎👍😀
A little Lime Away Gel for burned on coating, (on stainless steel pans). It softens carbon as well as calcium & rust. Scrape out all chunky stuff first.
Check with your local lawn and garden seed dealer, they should point you to the grasses that will do well in your zone and are tailored to your annual rainfall.
Cole you should reach out to @RyanKnorrLawnCare about grass options. He’s in your state and you guys could collaborate on some videos for each other’s channels
So what did you do on the 4th of july? "Cole the Cornstar taught me how to warsh a burnt Pot and a guy with a mullet taught me how to steal some 32..." *-James Bond*
When my Mom and Dad got married they came home from their Honeymoon and had 6 Hired men baling hay and she was like Nava at that time. She turned into a cook that people loved her cooking.
It's an time honored tradition for real men to smile and compliment the young cook. And it always taste better when it's made with love and a little Ketchup. 😉
Blue grass looks good in the spring but it does not like heat. If you want something tough as nails, I’d recommend a wide blade fescue like Kentucky 31.
I'd recommend a 50/30/20 mix of Ryegrass, Fine Fescue, and Kentucky Bluegrass. Should fill out nicely with the rye supporting the bluegrass until established and the fescue raises wear tolerance.
Also, can you answer a question in a later video. I'm from MN, and the farmers say corn should be knee high by the fourth of july"but who's knees are we talking? A tall sweedish man? A child's knee? What if the corn is taller like yours, what's the next saying after that?
Cole... i live in indiana we do a mix of Kentucky bluegrass and a fescue.. The bluegrass can't take the high heat of summer so do a mix when the bluegrass gets hot and goes dormant the fescue will take over threw fall. The fescue hates spring cool. So both is perfect
Cole, I’m a sod farmer and would recommend turf type tall fescue. Nice post !
😂😂... true !
I love when you’re the one behind the camera and you’re the main person in these videos!
Yeah but the whole family is pretty awesome.
dakota boggess yea it wouldn’t be the same. This channel is one of my favorites.
Impossible
I watched Nevas video earlier and made the comment that you two make the best couple! You can see the love between you two!! So happy, caring and adventurous! It such a nice change to see nowadays. Keep up the great videos and wishing you guys a very long and adventurous journey together!! 😁❤️😁❤️

Coles awesome!!

I second all of this!
I like a $12 rice cooker, rice, water, turn on and it shuts it's self off when done.
Love my instant pot
Rice cooker is a thousand times better
Beth Cervenka and you can make your beans from dried beans fast and keep the price low 👍🏻
I love it when you say ruts, here in the south we say roo-oots! I cannot thank you and Nave and your family enough for your videos. I am a retired teacher, who Praise God, survived cancer. We say roo-oots here in Canada too.
They probably say roof the same way. It's a common regionalism / dialect for the upper midwest.
Happy July 4th Cornstar Family. Nave burns rice and Cole cleans the pan like new. Glad you continue to work on the yard. Get Cooper out there and tear up the front yard again. The property is shaping up. God Bless.

OMG Nave and Cole...get a instant pot. I finally got one and its Amazing. Meals always come out so tasty and so quickly. You both will love it

The burnt pan trick is literally the most useful thing I’ve learnt from RUclips !
Love how well you take care of the place. It will be beautiful in the end.
Tall fescue. Beautiful cool season grass. Plus...it stripes really well
Coop will like to hear that
I saw fire fly's in your video around 3:50 - 4:06. So cool. I haven't seen fire fly's in years. We don't have them here in Oregon. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and we had them all over the place. I moved away when I went into the Air Force back in 1980. I only go back to visit family.
Thanks for wearing the GoServ Global shirt Cole. We appreciate the way you share and live out your faith.
Haven't forgot about you, I've just been busy. 😇
Cole The Cornstar understandable
Recommend getting a soil sample first, that way you know what will survive in your dirt. That’s what we did with our yard.
That good old baking soda trick works every time.
I'm so jealous of your lawn and garden tractor. I've always wanted one about that size. To reduce maintenance plant it into prairie grass, just mow a wide enough strip next to the house to allow for prairie grass burn off. Watch the wind direction when you burn.
Oh my gosh you guys have fireflys!!! I really cool ten seconds of between scenes would be to see those at the yard. Love it!

Happy 4th of July! God Bless and heal our Country! Enjoy your day 👍🏻😊🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I don’t know how many pots have been tossed! Thanks Cole. 🌸🦋💕
Daddy Cornstar never fails to make me laugh!
Nave needs a ricer! No overcooking and keeps the rice warm until you serve it. Your grounds around your house are looking great!
I can see the family football games that will be going on in the future on that patch of lawn. Those old Massey's are great!
Aww lil CORNSTARS running around😁👨👩👦👦👨👩👦👦👨👩👦👦
You can also warm up wine in the pan use a whisk to remove the burnt spots.
Cole buy her a rice cooker. She will never have burnt rice again
No burnt rice thevideo would have been 5 minutes shirt shorter I'm all for burnt rice footage🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊
Instant Pot!
Zojirushi for the win!!!
This is one of the only channels were I hit the thumbs up. That's because Cole mentions it early. Everybody else does it at the end when I'm ready to watch something else.
The blue grass is the way to go. Your show has showed me a lot of stuff I didn't know about farming. Thanks for that.
Cole - great video. I love the way you live - you have complete command of your emotions, temper and patience. Awesome way to live!
Great tip on cleaning up burnt rice. Yard looking great. The finish line is only weeks? Days? Away.
Happy 4th of July corn star family.

It's looking sooo good!! Worth all the hard work!! Happy 4th Cornstar Family!!!
Love All the Cornstars 💖 I like to see family's that love each other Happy fourth of July 🎆🎆
when we seed grass we take a little harrow that we pull behind our fourwheeler and run it over the seeded area to incorporate the seed into the dirt don't know if thats the best way to do it but it works for us. happy fourth everyone.
Clover is a great yard cover! Great for bees, soft, and doesn’t grow as tall as grass! But as someone from Kentucky, I also approve bluegrass. 😎
In northern Indiana we use a mixture of bluegrass, fescue, and perennial rye. Don’t plant until late August and water 3x a day for about 20 minutes each.
Happy Fourth of July to everyone that sees this
Right back at ya big Bob !
Happy 4th Big Bob
Happy 4th Big Bob!
Fescues are hardy and have a serrated edge that is itchy (like corn).
Marian bluegrass is more drought resistant than Kentucky blue.
Merica!!!!!
I am in NC... KBG does ok here but you might want to consider Fescue?? Though KBG is a Cool Weather grass it is suceptable to extreme heat. Both KBG and Fescue will take work during your hot months. I wonder what you would find in the yard around the house if you used a metal detector? Maybe stuff from 100 years ago.
my aunt lives in a old house probably from the early 1900s and a few years ago they dug in there yard to put a pool in and they found this old shoe that looked it was from back in the early 1900s.
That’s what I do at my house
That's really not a bad idea, I'm sure there is loads of old goodies around that farm house. just don't go anywhere near where they had the scrap metal, you'll get annoyed real easy with all the nails.
Get the Hoover Boys on it haha. There must be some nice artifacts underground all around that old mansion and the fields.
I was hoping he had done this at some point
My son and I love watching your videos. We have an family farm in Ohio and he wants to start corn like you guys so we can be like Cole the Corn star...he likes seeing daddy corn start cause it reminds him of his pappaw. Yeah, that Blue Grass grows real well if ya serenade it with a well strummed/plucked banjo.

Go to your local gardening/lawn center. They usually have blends specific to your area. Your co-op might have the same thing.
I came for Cole; I stay for Daddy Cornstar!!!!! Happy Independence Day everyone! 🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸
Nava’s dinner bell is the smoke alarm 😂
That's how I call my family to dinner!!!lol
Not gonna lie, I've had that happen a couple of times and ate it. I must remember there's a pause button and whatever I'm looking at on the net isn't going to go away EVER, the internet never forgets.
Funny but mean
Only half an hour left of the holiday where I am in NY state. Still time to wish you a happy Independence Day, Cole. God bless you & your sweet family!
I really like your videos . Your father is Amazing and he’s funny
Tall fescue #31 is one tuff grass, they use it football fields. stays green all winter. Just don't cut it too short I mow mine at 3" year around.
Nava was upset about wasting 2 cups of rice, she's getting as tight as Cole lol😂😂
I am no expert on different types of grass seed, but the best I ever used was drought resistant tall fescue. Thanks for the tip on the burn spots, Cole! That's a new one and I am keeping it in the memory bank
The front yard is looking good!
It is really looking great. I am glad I found you early so I can enjoy all the changes you have been making.
Do a video on laying the drain tile. Seriously. I'm interested. Until DC explained drain tile, I had no idea how it was.
I saw lightning bugs!! I moved to Oregon from Missouri 9 years ago... and we don't have lightning bugs here. I definitely miss those calm summer nights watching them flicker across the yard.
Cole just loves barbed wire. Wow, my sarcasm meter was pegged clear over here in northern IL.
I recommend using coffee when dealing with burnt pots and pans. Let it sit for a half hour. I learned this after working as a dishwasher at my aunts cafe.
Suggestion: Grow lavender in that front yard and sell it. Sure smells good.
Use a macho mix of fescue and b,use grass. In the early months after winter the blue grass will grow. After it gets hot the blue gras# goes dormant and the fescue kicks in. Fescue handles heat better.
Happy 4th of July to Cornstar Farms!!! Smooooth 😎
Several times, I had something cooking on the stove and left the kitchen for a while, forgetting about it until I smelled it burning. It helps to set a timer, but only if you stay within hearing range of the timer.
Needed a Harley rake on that front yard before seeding would have cleaned and graded it
Thank you for teaching Dobby how to clean burnt food from a pot!!! Dobby is now ready to burn food!!!
Suggestion ... Buy a rice cooker- so convenient and perfect cooked rice ever time... just clean those rice machine bowl gently after soaking.
🤗😊
I love watching the transformation of your property. You are such a hard worker! Great job.
Happy 4th of July. Love the videos Cole.
“I don’t like doing not a whole lot. I like doing a lot” that killed me 😭❤️😂
Kent bluegrass is good for our area.
Been loving all the videos of you cleaning up the farm lately keep up the great work!!!
For the area of yard you're covering I'd look at using Ky. 31 fescue. It's hardy but it needs a fair amount of water in the beginning. There's a lot of clay in the soil here in Ky.and it still does well.
Happy 4th y’all!
Love the GoServ Global shirt! Let’s talk about a collaboration.
We should talk as well
What go serv would love to learn what you people offer
A little Lime Away Gel for burned on coating, (on stainless steel pans). It softens carbon as well as calcium & rust. Scrape out all chunky stuff first.
Arizona checking in 😁 110 degrees here today 🥵 HAPPY 4th of July 🎇🎆
Check with your local lawn and garden seed dealer, they should point you to the grasses that will do well in your zone and are tailored to your annual rainfall.
Cole you should reach out to @RyanKnorrLawnCare about grass options. He’s in your state and you guys could collaborate on some videos for each other’s channels
I think allyn hayne the lawn care nut is from Indiana/Chicago area, Soo he knows the region
@@cmusic52 Lawn Care Nut is in Florida,.
Chris Rowlison used to be from the south side of Chicago but he moved to Florida about 3 years ago. Great idea though. I Knorr lives in Iowa too.
That's a great idea. A collaboration for getting Cole's yard looking ship shape, and Ryan Knorr Lawn Care gets huge endorsemen exposure. Win win!!
This is a great idea, I would love to see Ryan Knorr visit the farm!
Bluegrass, fine and tall fescue with ryegrass. It is a typical cold season grass mix and it works well together.
So what did you do on the 4th of july?
"Cole the Cornstar taught me how to warsh a burnt Pot and a guy with a mullet taught me how to steal some 32..."
*-James Bond*
😂
hahahaha.
St. Augustine turf grass is my favorite. A pleasure to mow with reels, and feels great under foot.
Cole, buy that girl a rice pot.
And some cooking lessons...before your old mansion gets burnt to the ground...
$12 bucks and it shuts itself off.
Buy her a ring.
good work cleaning up the farm. Its satisfying to see the progress and i like the the way the yard is shaping up too.
I bet it wasn’t just cooking she done for those 6 hired men 😂
@@RD_5572 Please! Don`t be so crude!
SuperMellow21 rude??? You must have a dirty mind, as I didn’t mean it in the way you took it
Blue grass looks good in the spring but it does not like heat. If you want something tough as nails, I’d recommend a wide blade fescue like Kentucky 31.
Kentucky Bluegrass is a lot of work. Seed with a Tall Fescue instead.
Yup.
Kentucky blue grass would look great just need to do bi-yearly maintenance
Fescue with a rye mix
@@joelpage4165 Yep, that's what I was going to say was thin blade rye and fescue. Makes a really decent lawn.
Turf gang represent
I'd recommend a 50/30/20 mix of Ryegrass, Fine Fescue, and Kentucky Bluegrass. Should fill out nicely with the rye supporting the bluegrass until established and the fescue raises wear tolerance.
Also, can you answer a question in a later video. I'm from MN, and the farmers say corn should be knee high by the fourth of july"but who's knees are we talking? A tall sweedish man? A child's knee? What if the corn is taller like yours, what's the next saying after that?
Knee high by the 4th of July is an old saying. With modern strains it should be quite a bit higher
Do you intend to install french drain between your yard and driveway ? It helps to drain off the storm water to a nearby sump or pond.
Gci tall fescue best grass seed out their buddy 💯💯🔥👌🏾
Cole... i live in indiana we do a mix of Kentucky bluegrass and a fescue..
The bluegrass can't take the high heat of summer so do a mix when the bluegrass gets hot and goes dormant the fescue will take over threw fall. The fescue hates spring cool. So both is perfect
