I came here to make my crush a crochet glove, we fought like days ago and im thinking of giving this as a apology gift to him. I really dont want our bond to break, so this really helped thank you!
Holy cow I know I’m like two years late but I came here to crochet my crush gloves too…we haven’t argued or nothing but he’s always saying his hands are cold ❤
Please don't take this the wrong way. It's a very commendable thought, _but_ - before you start making a bunch of handmade gloves to hand out to the homeless, please keep a few things in mind. First & foremost, handmade gloves will be far more expensive than store bought gloves, so you will not be able to help as many ppl as you could with the store bought ones. Secondly, each pair will take a significant amount of time to complete. The recipients likely won't even be aware of that, and the ones who are aware are most likely not going to appreciate it anyway. Third, and *most important* to note, I am very sad to say that the _vast majority_ of your hard work will ABSOLUTELY end up in the trash. Handmade gloves, hats, and scarves are among the first things to get tossed out. I have close, personal experience with homeless communities in and near Chicago, and the fact of the matter is that every single year these people receive a MOUNTAIN of gloves, hats, scarves, and blankets from ppl who assume their needs because they want to help but don't want to give them money. I'm not here to argue for or against whatever method of assistance you chose to offer, I simply want to warn you, as a fellow crocheter, to only give handmade items like these if you have a massive backstock of winter wear that youve already crocheted and dont know what to do with, and/or if you _TRULY, TRULY, TRULY_ do not mind them being thrown away. They will not be re-gifted. They will not be given to others in the community. They will not be donated. And very, VERY few (if any) will actually appreciate handmade items in general. To be honest, you would be much better off, and have a bigger impact, donating the handmade gloves to a charity shop that operates similar to Salvation Army or Goodwill, because the items will find a nice home where they are loved and appreciated, and the money will still end up helping ppl in need. If you insist upon handing out handmade gloves to the homeless, you can save yourself some heartbreak by asking them directly if they would like a pair of brand new, handmade gloves. There will still be a few who accept them just to dump them later on, but the chances will be much slimmer. Much love & happy stitching! ❤🙂
Just finished making these gloves for my sister's Bday|! Thanks so much for the tutorial :) Mine turned out a little lumpy and make make my hands look huge, but they're awesome and very warm.
I started pot making the fingers first by myself. After making the first finger, I màde the 2nd but only 1 third, still in progress. Other videos started with g0the palm area then the fingers so I got a little worried but luckily I found this video. This video helped so much. I'm planning to mame a pair of gloves for my older brother for Christmas. Thank you for your tutorial!
I must admit, for the first half of the video I thought you were crocheting a dairy cow starting with the utters! I will have to give this a try as I have never really cared for mittens.
I have really long, skinny fingers. I can never find gloves to fit and I often have to shop the men's section for gloves, and even then it's a challenge to find gloves with fingers long enough to fit. When I do, they're usually uuuuuugggggly lol. I'll use this pattern to make gloves that actually fit. Thanks!
I have the opposite! My fingers are short, especially my thumb! I only use gloves and mittens my mom makes, since she makes the gloves according to my fingers. But now I can finally make my own
These were quite difficult, but they turned out great! The only problem was the yarn. Since it was out of stock, I tried the lion brand naptime yarn weight 4 (a soft velvet yarn just like the one in the video) and I had to add a bunch of extra rows. Im not sure why this is the case since they're both yarn weight 4. I used the same hook and tightness so if anyone knows please leave a reply. Thanks! ❤
even if two yarns are the same weight, you may need to use a larger or smaller hook size to get the same gauge as the pattern (larger hook in this case)
Quick question for u do u have kids instructions on how to make this because I can find any instruction of kid gloves n i love the ur instructions they r clear n simple..
This is awsome I absolutely hate the cold and i get cold when it is 70 degrees my fingers go ice lol thanks im going to make a pair for my gf to cuz she dont like the cold either
your pattern lacked the amout of stitches remaining on the decreased row and you needed more visuals on how the thumb lines up correctly and going over it on the first round
Okay I've looked at both your video and written version of instructions and I can't figure this out for the life of me so I'm going to just ask and hope you or someone else who has made these can answer: after you've attached the thumb, do the next rows mean you just do sc around the hand, or around the hand AND the thumb when you get to it??? I'm so confused Thank you
I know this myself I just don’t know how I would do some parts so watching this it’s gonna be confusing yet helping cause I already know how to make the fingers but not necessarily everything else
Love these gloves and would buy the pdf, but all your links to the pdf pattern are broken. Can't find it anywhere! Can you provide a link to purchase the pdf pattern for these? Thanks!
I'm pretty sure I saw some of this on Amazon last night 🤔 I'm not really sure if it's been discontinued or if they're experiencing shortages with everything that's going on. Unfortunately, there isn't another velvety yarn like this in this weight (that I'm aware of). You could try substituting with another medium weight yarn, but I'd make a test piece to make sure the substitution doesn't change the gauge and effect the size.
omg I hate the band.. I'm using a different yarn and its taking forever to make the band.. and the fact that I have to do another one for the other glove is making me wanna cry hahah
I did the exactly the same thing and then you around the other side of pinky and it has 5 stitches left not 4. There is 9 stitches on each finger when you first connect then you do 4 sc in the pinky and there is 5 stitches left in the pinky.
it says 8 single crochets for the pinky, and 9 for the others, it appears to me the count is off, i need to increase the size a customer ordered these but they want them a bit bigger. hopefully we get a response soon
I love these but when I made them they came out comically huge. I’m a pretty experienced crocheter and this video is pretty straightforward but I restarted a few times to get them right and had the same weird result. I do have pretty small hands though... anyone else have this prob?
Hello, I would love to make this, however the bernat baby blanket tiny yarn is currently unavailable everywhere. What is a good substitute yarn? Thank you!
I know it's a year ago you asked but I'm just looked for it now and eagled eyed that she used size 5.00mm don't know it in any country size except the UK.
Please help - I'm struggling with the right hand glove. I'm stuck at the place of adding the thumb. I'm left with too many stitches after adding the thumb. Is there a video tutorial for the right hand?
click on the link to get the written pattern at the very end of the pattern has a right hand and left hand videos i havent looked at them yet but i hope that they are the directions.
there appears to be a miscount on how many stitches are used when connecting the fingers and that makes the count off for most of the pattern. can someone verify and correct me if im wrong
When attaching the index finger, you said to crochet 1 single crochet to connect it but wouldn’t it be 8 more since there is 9 stitches in a round for the index finger and one was used to connect it?
*Me, who lives in a tropical country and doesn't know what cold is:* I'm so making this.
LOL SAME!
Lol. Me too
Lmao same
Me too but my hands hurt for a few months and i need to make one
This is literally power of crocheting 😀😍
I came here to make my crush a crochet glove, we fought like days ago and im thinking of giving this as a apology gift to him. I really dont want our bond to break, so this really helped thank you!
updateeeee
How did it go
@@niak551 clearly not well lol

This is such a good way to give out gloves to the homeless this winter

Just finished making these gloves for my sister's Bday|! Thanks so much for the tutorial :) Mine turned out a little lumpy and make make my hands look huge, but they're awesome and very warm.
Use a thinner yarn next time! I bet they look amazing still though! And at least they're warm!
This is the first finger gloves I've seen so far there look easy for me to try thanks
I made a black pair of gloves for my husband. He is so impressed lol.
Cleo Alvaro How Long does it take?
yeah, how long does it take?
I LOVE to crochet so many things I have crocheted my little sister a hat.
I started pot making the fingers first by myself. After making the first finger, I màde the 2nd but only 1 third, still in progress. Sorry for typo error. 'pot' was actually 'by'
Thank you so much for that tutorial! I finished them today and i really liked the result!

I'm a kid. I need to be warm. YES
SAAAME xD
finally one with fingers & where the thumb is correct. why is that so hard to find??
Oh my, those are adorable! You're so clever
Very nice Brittany! Thanks for the clear, concise instruction!
It looks scary 😅 but good job.
Couldn’t figure out how to do the magic ring at all
oh they look so soft
Awesome gloves Brittany. I like how they don't seem complicated to make. Thank you❣💙
It's like you read my mind! Was thinking there aren't enough crochet gloves out there. So awesome!!!!!
Thanks! ❤
What yarn did she use?
Different companies might do yarn weights differently, one company might say its weight four but i could be weight 3. Thats probably what happened
even if two yarns are the same weight, you may need to use a larger or smaller hook size to get the same gauge as the pattern (larger hook in this case)
So nice. I will definitely try. Dont know it they will be as nice as yours but we will see. Love love love them!
I have been wanting to crochet gloves forever. Thank you!
Me too!
I wish u could photocopy it to make another pair 😭😢
Why u have to make it another pair😞😞😞
yeah we really dont give a damn
I like the gloves.
Thank you for the video.
Haven’t seen any pattern for crochet 🧶 gloves 🧤
Now THIS is AWESOME I’m all over these.
Thank You VERY much🦋💙
Thanks!
You, surely, made it look so easy!
Great job!
Thanks for this pattern was perfect for cactus hand plant..
Thank you so much. These will be Christmas for me to make.
I didn't hear her mention this, but the fingers on the glove need to be slightly shorter than your fingers. Otherwise they'll be too big.
Lovely, but yes looking bit difficult 😇 but with clear instruction, I think I can make. ✌️
Thank you for the video, very helpful.
Awesome! Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the reply.
Cool! Haven’t seen many crochet glove patterns. Thanks!
Finally nice and squishy gloves❣️😊
My son requested i make him gloves to go with his Halloween costume this year and I'm using this pattern!
Marvellous. Thank you
Many thanks!
Quick question for u do u have kids instructions on how to make this because I can find any instruction of kid gloves n i love the ur instructions they r clear n simple..
Did we find how to make these in a kid size?
Hmm how to make a fingerless pair so I can do stuff but keep hand warm. Maybe a chain, slip stitch into tube then go around like in the round ?
This is awsome I absolutely hate the cold and i get cold when it is 70 degrees my fingers go ice lol thanks im going to make a pair for my gf to cuz she dont like the cold either
OMG so cute I will have to try it I do a lot of that stuff too!!!!!!!!
Glad I found you! I just subscribed. Love these simple gloves
I'm almost done with mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow so nice and creative 😍♥️♥️♥️🎉
What do i do with the tail from the magic rings? Just let it dangle free inside the fingers?
That's what I did 😆 if you didn't want to do that, you could weave it in after working that first round 👌
She addresses what to do with the finger tails at minute 21:00.
your pattern lacked the amout of stitches remaining on the decreased row and you needed more visuals on how the thumb lines up correctly and going over it on the first round
I'm so confused
Thank you
Thank you for sharing!!! I love these!! 😍😍😍they are gonna be so soft!! ❤
I will give these a try nice gloves
yess
I know this myself I just don’t know how I would do some parts so watching this it’s gonna be confusing yet helping cause I already know how to make the fingers but not necessarily everything else
I really love this video . Your gloves look amazing. I hope mine turn out as beautiful as yours much thanks.
Love these gloves and would buy the pdf, but all your links to the pdf pattern are broken. Can't find it anywhere! Can you provide a link to purchase the pdf pattern for these? Thanks!
Do u have a video for knitted gloves on 2 needles
look though the profile and you can find out :)
Thanks for the tutorial and pattern!
the written pattern is very unclear about the thumb part. I thought the nine stitches where the attatching bit.
Lovely pattern, thank you for the brilliant instructions.
Is there a yarn that would be a good substitute, i can't find any of this particular yarn?
I'm pretty sure I saw some of this on Amazon last night 🤔 I'm not really sure if it's been discontinued or if they're experiencing shortages with everything that's going on. Unfortunately, there isn't another velvety yarn like this in this weight (that I'm aware of). If your in the philippines I'm using cannon yarn to make this I use double pull
So helpful Thank you for this Tutorial. ❤❤❤❤❤
Im still having trouble with the 1 sc in the next 9 sts around the index
Neat so many projects for me to do
I can't buy thr pattern I really need it. Please do you have it?
I wish you had shown us how to work around the thumb
Olá, gostaria de saber o tamanho da agulha e o TEX da linha ou lã
omg I hate the band.. I'm using a different yarn and its taking forever to make the band.. and the fact that I have to do another one for the other glove is making me wanna cry hahah
You could just search: how to knit a band.
You could use any type of band , but the back row slip stitch will give you the most stretch .
Yeah thanks it's been a few months of practice so this wouldn't give me so much trouble now!
@@nylevataub7488 its crochet
Thank you i finally gọt your video so good
Do you list the round numbers of stitches for each round of the hand? Thanks.
Love it.
wao so nice gloves
I have a question I don’t have the right number of stitches can I keep doing decreases then when it’s the right size do the last one?
I did the exactly the same thing and then you around the other side of pinky and it has 5 stitches left not 4. There is 9 stitches on each finger when you first connect then you do 4 sc in the pinky and there is 5 stitches left in the pinky.
it says 8 single crochets for the pinky, and 9 for the others, it appears to me the count is off, i need to increase the size a customer ordered these but they want them a bit bigger. hopefully we get a response soon
i like the way to teach
Would a skein of yarn 3.5 oz 186 yrds be enough for a pair of gloves?
I don't know
Nice work
I love these but when I made them they came out comically huge. I’m a pretty experienced crocheter and this video is pretty straightforward but I restarted a few times to get them right and had the same weird result. I do have pretty small hands though... anyone else have this prob?
Sounds like your gauge may be off. Did you try using a smaller hook?
I am also struggling with this problem
I used smaller hook
Hello, I would love to make this, however the bernat baby blanket tiny yarn is currently unavailable everywhere. What is a good substitute yarn? Thank you!
How many yarn did it take please 🖤
I will make these
Love them going to try and make them soon.
finally i can make gloves so i cannot bite my nails
Can i use regular worsted weight yarn for this pattern instead of bernet blanket tiny?
You can use any yarn you like. Just use the appropriate hook size.
What size do these fit my little boy is 5yrs old
I'd say these would be too bit for a 5 year old boy. When finished, they'll measure about 8.5" long and 7-8" hand circumference.
Could we change hook size to make gloves smaller for a child?
What's the size of the crochet hook and the yarn plz?
I know it's a year ago you asked but I'm just looked for it now and eagled eyed that she used size 5.00mm don't know it in any country size except the UK.
I heard that glove is the hardest things to make, but why does this sound so easy?
Does this pattern can be used for toddlers size with smaller hook? 😅
Would a bulky or velvet yarn work? If so what hook plz. Kris
It will say on yarn hook size to use!
Please help - I'm struggling with the right hand glove. I'm stuck at the place of adding the thumb. I'm left with too many stitches after adding the thumb. Is there a video tutorial for the right hand?
click on the link to get the written pattern at the very end of the pattern has a right hand and left hand videos i havent looked at them yet but i hope that they are the directions.
istg is it the yarn thickness or am i just doing it wrong and is there any other way exceot magic ring?
How many stitches I should take for fingers for a 4 year old gloves
I have a question ! Which size of yarn and crochet do you use ?
Do you have these in kids sizes?
why are the number patterns different for each hand? i figured theyd be the same...
there appears to be a miscount on how many stitches are used when connecting the fingers and that makes the count off for most of the pattern. can someone verify and correct me if im wrong
i know you commented a year ago but i’m having the same issue 😢
did she use chenille yarn?
wow so cool
Omg it is made in 2018 my brother is born in 2018😊
Hook size ?
I can't find the gloves on your website. Where should I look?
When attaching the index finger, you said to crochet 1 single crochet to connect it but wouldn’t it be 8 more since there is 9 stitches in a round for the index finger and one was used to connect it?
I meant to say that you said single crochet in the next nine after I’ve already used one of the stitches to connect
how many yards of yarn did this take?
Wao I love them
Are they warm and durable?
Can you make half fingers
