    I have really long, skinny fingers. I can never find gloves to fit and I often have to shop the men's section for gloves, and even then it's a challenge to find gloves with fingers long enough to fit. When I do, they're usually uuuuuugggggly lol. I'll use this pattern to make gloves that actually fit. Thanks!

      I have the opposite! My fingers are short, especially my thumb! I only use gloves and mittens my mom makes, since she makes the gloves according to my fingers.
      But now I can finally make my own

    I started pot making the fingers first by myself. After making the first finger, I màde the 2nd but only 1 third, still in progress. Other videos started with g0the palm area then the fingers so I got a little worried but luckily I found this video. This video helped so much. I'm planning to mame a pair of gloves for my older brother for Christmas. Thank you for your tutorial!

    These were quite difficult, but they turned out great! The only problem was the yarn. Since it was out of stock, I tried the lion brand naptime yarn weight 4 (a soft velvet yarn just like the one in the video) and I had to add a bunch of extra rows. Im not sure why this is the case since they're both yarn weight 4. I used the same hook and tightness so if anyone knows please leave a reply. Thanks! ❤

      even if two yarns are the same weight, you may need to use a larger or smaller hook size to get the same gauge as the pattern (larger hook in this case)

    • @Natalie-yo1dn
      @Natalie-yo1dn 3 года назад

      I agree with Dimon that selling them would be a great idea, but crochet clothes and accessories are difficult to sell. This particular yarn is hard to find so I suggest making something else that you'd use or something easier to sell. Amigurumi plushes are all the rage right now so I recommend making those if you'd like to sell your crochet.

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  3 года назад +1

      I'm pretty sure I saw some of this on Amazon last night 🤔 I'm not really sure if it's been discontinued or if they're experiencing shortages with everything that's going on. Unfortunately, there isn't another velvety yarn like this in this weight (that I'm aware of). You could try substituting with another medium weight yarn, but I'd make a test piece to make sure the substitution doesn't change the gauge and effect the size.

    As a beginner to crocheting i found this video easy to follow at first but by the time it came to connecting the fingers and crocheting i think this video was poorly edited. The cuts where it skips your completion of a row, not reiterating that the second row is done the same as the first and not stopping to show what the glove should look like at each step (hands are constantly in the way to compare stitches) I got gradually frustrated. This is with me trying to follow, go back and forth within your video and trying to pause at certain points where i can *maybe* see how the stitches are supposed to look like over the course of several days. Im happy others were able to easily follow this video but I just wasn't and im halfway through one glove and just discouraged.

    there appears to be a miscount on how many stitches are used when connecting the fingers and that makes the count off for most of the pattern. can someone verify and correct me if im wrong
