Based on feedback I received on this popular Mushroom Stater House tutorial, I thought it would be helpful if I included a building guide as a companion to the design video. did you enjoy seeking out 4 blocks of mycelium? was a real challenge to find them but after i saw it on the materials list I figured it was an integral part of the build. a bit disappointed, to say the least, when I found he used them as temporary placeholder blocks.

not sure if you already built this but if you go to settings, press playback speed, and turn playback speed to .5, the video is in normal speed and it's a lot easier to follow the tutorial! I'm a visual learner as well and once I turned back the playback speed I was able to complete the house pretty easily

Thank you. I made a brown mushroom house to match. I used mud bricks for the walls, dark oak for the trap doors and door, birch for the front and floors, plus the birch trap door, brown shrooms for decor, diorite for the chimney and webs to make a steamy smoke effect. Thank you again for the build!

Hey, @sticksandstones713. Glad you like the build. You can also trade with a stone mason until you get the quartz trade. It doesn't take that long because you can trade coal and sometimes diorite, granite, and andesite to quickly level them up and get emeralds for quartz.
Hey Zara! I’m glad you like it. I use Sildur's Vibrant shaders v1.27 Medium. It’s a good one. I have to turn the brightness up in the video settings because the default is dark. I also make sure daylight Cycle is off and I play with the time of day to make sure the shadows don’t interfere with the build too much. But it looks cool when it’s done.

At the time I made this video my computer would crash for anything longer than about 18 min. during rendering, so I had to edit it to be less than that.

i didnt go in survival to do this so i only grabbed one of everything, but i love it when people put the amount of resources you need in case someone is trying to do this in survival, and then you just grab not enough or too much!

Trading with villagers is the easiest way. Use clay and stone to level up a stone mason to quarts. Then cycle trades with a librarian until you get silk touch. You never have to go to the nether.
@@DadsG That's still a lot of work for what U call a STARTER house it's not a starter if it takes 3 IRL days to collect the stuff. A STARTER HOUSE is a simple but nice looking wood house WOOD NOT MUSHROOMS AND QUARTZ

Hello, Dark_Alien. Welcome to Minecraft! It is a mod of sorts. It’s called optifine. If you go to optifine.net you just need to choose the version of Minecraft Java you are playing on. This doesn’t work for Bedrock. Follow the instructions for loading, and you are most of the way there. Once you have optifine installed and can launch the modded game, go to options, then video settings and you’ll find a folder called “shaders”. The shader is what makes the game look like this. I use a shader called Sildur’s Vibrant Shaders - Medium. You just need to add this file to your shaders folder and it will show up on the shaders screen. When you select it, the game will do a quick relaunch and it will look like this. Hope that helps. There are a bunch of great video tutorials out there too on how to do this.

You can use almost any materials at it still looks pretty cool. I like smooth sandstone instead of Quarts, Warped Netherwart for the cap, and deepslate instead of bricks. Thanks for watching and writing.

I got a fever, and the only cure is more upside down stairs! 🤪 I understand, I was trying to make the interior look "organic" like the outside. One of the limitations to building round structures in Minecraft with square blocks. I'm glad it turned out and thanks for writing.

I got into Minecraft because I was helping the older kids troubleshoot issues back when it was in Alpha, and started playing when my youngest was about 6 and needed a lot of help with builds.
I changed a few things with new blocks looking nicer. Brick porch is now mangrove planks, brick chimney is now mud bricks, and the regular glass pane is now a white glass pane. Overall, very cute little cottage and i enjoyed making it!

When the roof was done, I removed all the jungle slabs and replaced them with mushroom blocks. I think, it looks more natural.

i didnt go in survival to do this so i only grabbed one of everything, but i love it when people put the amount of resources you need in case someone is trying to do this in survival, and then you just grab not enough or too much!

Trading with villagers is the easiest way. Use clay and stone to level up a stone mason to quarts. Then cycle trades with a librarian until you get silk touch. You never have to go to the nether.
@@DadsG That's still a lot of work for what U call a STARTER house it's not a starter if it takes 3 IRL days to collect the stuff. A STARTER HOUSE is a simple but nice looking wood house WOOD NOT MUSHROOMS AND QUARTZ

Hello, Dark_Alien. Welcome to Minecraft! It is a mod of sorts. It’s called optifine. If you go to optifine.net you just need to choose the version of Minecraft Java you are playing on. This doesn’t work for Bedrock. Follow the instructions for loading, and you are most of the way there. Once you have optifine installed and can launch the modded game, go to options, then video settings and you’ll find a folder called “shaders”. The shader is what makes the game look like this. I use a shader called Sildur’s Vibrant Shaders - Medium. You just need to add this file to your shaders folder and it will show up on the shaders screen. When you select it, the game will do a quick relaunch and it will look like this. Hope that helps. There are a bunch of great video tutorials out there too on how to do this.

You can use almost any materials at it still looks pretty cool. I like smooth sandstone instead of Quarts, Warped Netherwart for the cap, and deepslate instead of bricks. Thanks for watching and writing.

I understand, I was trying to make the interior look "organic" like the outside. One of the limitations to building round structures in Minecraft with square blocks. I'm glad it turned out and thanks for writing.

I got into Minecraft because I was helping the older kids troubleshoot issues back when it was in Alpha, and started playing when my youngest was about 6 and needed a lot of help with builds.

I changed a few things with new blocks looking nicer. Brick porch is now mangrove planks, brick chimney is now mud bricks, and the regular glass pane is now a white glass pane. Overall, very cute little cottage and i enjoyed making it!
