Yes! One of my favorites! No gimmicks! Just everyday farm needs being met. I’ve loved Loraine’s farm growth. Her enthusiasm her ability to share what she has learned. Your building skills and the animal husbandry skills as you grow your food.

The only pig drama is watching how you have learned how to move them to keep the drama to a medium. AND just think of the fantastic garden plots where they have rooted it and fertilized it. Oh boy! Can’t wait for spring planting!

Jason, in your new brooder, you should cut a little trap door in the side that you can open up into a little chick run. Once they get their feathers let them at it. We’d do it with about 100 birds and it worked great. Anecdotally, we seemed to lose less chickens to leg problems once they were pastured and seemed to be better grazers since they were used to it. Just a suggestion! Hope everything we aren’t seeing is going well!

I switched my pig feed from NCO to a place local to me called "Kraut Creek" It's half the price, but is just as good as the NCO stuff in my opinion. It's Non-GMO and can be bought in a soy free/corn free version. Highly recommend them.

Man, I love using scrap wood and making something new and pretty out of it. We did a series on building a large chicken coop in our old barn, and didn't have to buy any wood at all. It's fun to take something old and worn and making it look new and pristine and functional again.
I'm looking forward to see how the brooders turn out, I've got a bunch I need to build here soon myself. I'll be taking notes ;)
