"I don't Trust NO Pig!" favorite line ever! love this channel I learn so much from you and the fam!
Awesome! Thank you!
Yes! One of my favorites! No gimmicks! Just everyday farm needs being met. I’ve loved Loraine’s farm growth. Her enthusiasm her ability to share what she has learned. Your building skills and the animal husbandry skills as you grow your food.
Hi, Jason! You are very entertaining. You are quite the comedian. You are quite the planner and master builder as well. I love seeing you, Lorraine, and Penelope working together to grow your homestead.
The only pig drama is watching how you have learned how to move them to keep the drama to a medium. AND just think of the fantastic garden plots where they have rooted it and fertilized it. Oh boy! Can’t wait for spring planting!
Watching you building things by yourself has taught me how I can do a project on my own without extra hands… in the last two days I have replaced the wood frame that holds my lattice on my carport all by myself..
great to hear. You are amazing! I appreciate you sharing that!
Jason, in your new brooder, you should cut a little trap door in the side that you can open up into a little chick run. Once they get their feathers let them at it. We’d do it with about 100 birds and it worked great. Anecdotally, we seemed to lose less chickens to leg problems once they were pastured and seemed to be better grazers since they were used to it. Just a suggestion! Hope everything we aren’t seeing is going well!
Taking out those stalls has really given you a wonderful work shop space, Jason. It looks great and you are just making the brooders look so easy to make. Such a great space! YAY!!
Love this channel. So conscientious and meticulous about everything they do! And it shows!
I totally understand the cost of feed situation. I switched my chickens from Scratch and Peck layer feed to a less expensive one and they didn’t like it. Nice to see how much your channel has grown over the years.
Loaded soup and it’s very delicious….of course it is Lorraine you made it! Good seeing you all…💕
enjoyed the video of the moving of the pigs, and the beginning of making the chicken brooders. have a great week.
God bless you Jason, Lorraine and Penelope.
I like it that your projects are well organized and planned out. I like it that you don't chew a lot more than you can swallow!
I switched my pig feed from NCO to a place local to me called "Kraut Creek" It's half the price, but is just as good as the NCO stuff in my opinion. It's Non-GMO and can be bought in a soy free/corn free version. Highly recommend them.
Shoot! JASON, I built my 4 nest box unit from old 6'x 5.5" fence boards, the perch is a birch tree branch. I LOVE IT and so proud, lol.
We are coming into a time when repurposing what we have will become so important. Putting your tools and skills to the test is the best use of both. Well done Jason.
It seems you are happier when you are building!
Keyboard commando here never ever put you hand anywhere near the location of that nail gun although we know that the nail is too short to penetrate through your board if it hits a knot it very well may shoot out of the side and into your hand, be safe great video
!!!!!I came here to comment this!!!!!! Safety first!
Always great to see what’s the latest happenings.
gee, thanks!
I appreciate how you make/build what you need, and do good quality work! It is not just thrown together!
Ohh Jason, never apologize for excess wood… new or used. Used is one of our favs out in the country👍
Great job all over. 👵🏻👩🌾❣️
Awesome video Jason 👏Your have so much knowledge to share and you make it fun. No Pig Drama 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Two high tunnels sounds great. Take care.
Glad you enjoyed it
I have a hay wagon full of wood. My source for a lot of my projects. Ix and 2x dementional, plus old hardwood lumber.Wagon has a stack of 3x8 plywood sheets. Maybe 30 sheets. Bought at a garage sale years ago. That too is the basis of many of my projects
I love your sense of humor and your channel as well!
Jason, if you do a calendar or book. Please put a picture of your head with all the Chickens around your Head. That's funny. Chickens never end❗🇺🇸
Lorraine, I love your new light over the dining table. Reminds me of a starburst 🌟
We are having problems getting chickens in middle TN. Hope you get all of the chickens you are expecting.
I had heard that in your area it is a problem to get chickens too.
Great video . . . you're getting better every month . . . great craftsman and love that shirt and vest you were wearing, very flashy. When I was a young fellow on the farm, I used to mind my outfits and my mom would say, "do you think the cows will notice?" Cheers.
Great progress; thanks for sharing! Blessings to your family 🤗💜🇨🇦
Thanks for sharing, them pigs are growing fast...
You make moving pigs look so easy lol I've never done it before, it just gets easier every time You all do this👍🤗❤ have a great day
Your videos are so entertaining! You make me laugh out loud sometimes!! I look forward to every video!!!
You're the best!
I love watching you get creative with materials at hand! I wish we were neighbors, too! We have a granddaughter named Penelope!
Great video Jason. Lookin forward to chicken season. Love that your reusing some of that wood. Never waste lumber
2:21 I love those videos with an xray of a dude with a nail thru his hand. Jason shows how to.
anything for views right? lol
Been watching you on RUclips TV. Haven’t figured out how to leave a comment yet. God bless.
I appreciate that
I remember WELL, the PIG DRAMA "The Brothers",
got out and ran, ran, and just ran around. I would love to see that one again. If you could show it, I'll be there in front roll seat's. You pick the BeST NAME'S for your animals. Thank you. I TRULY appreciate you three and family. GOD BLESS EACH of YOU.. CHOW FROM MICHIGAN GREAT LAKES STATE 🌹❤️💐🌺🌹❤️🇺🇸💐💗🥀🎉🛐✝️ HALLELUJAH 🙏🀄🀄🀄✝️✝️🛐🙏🎉🌺💗
Man, I love using scrap wood and making something new and pretty out of it. We did a series on building a large chicken coop in our old barn, and didn't have to buy any wood at all. It's fun to take something old and worn and making it look new and pristine and functional again.
I'm looking forward to see how the brooders turn out, I've got a bunch I need to build here soon myself. I'll be taking notes ;)
Hi everyone. I'm still binge watching all of your video's (there are so many). It's official! I have my wife's consent. I am shopping for our first farm/homestead!
And so humorous too! Just love it.
I don t remember buying any wood been using recycle wood for over 40 years , It sure works well and doesn't cost much just the gas to haul it home , Another great video thanks
Great minds think alike !
When you move the pigs, you make ot look so easy like a BOSS. Lol
The scrap would you are using would be better than what you can buy at the stores now
Thanks Jason! Your video saved my day! Thanks Lorraine!
Great to hear!
Just a thought, Jason, Could you use one of the stalls to put the baby chicks in until they are ready to go out on the grass?. That way you could have all of them in one place. That loaded potato soup looked delicious, Lorraine. Y'all have a Blessed week.
That's the plan!
So, should I move from Miami to my propoerty in Spruce Pine? I always get a smile watching your vids and today, you working in the open barn just stoked that fire.
yes, what are you waiting for
Yes I would love to be notified by email on chicken processing and the Pig processing
Handy and cheap idea for waterproofing the bottom of the chick brooder!
Shoot, no pig drama today. Ha. You always make the nicest looking chicken coops. Nice video. 💖
I'm surprised but happy that your pigs haven't already busted that chicken tractor.
I only do a few chicks and use a stock tank with a screened/ hinged lid. Paid a handy guy to build it! Got myself a second one this year!! Chickens are a good thing! Can't wait to see your broders!
Thanks for filming the chicken brooder building that took a week. I liked that there was no pig drama when you moved the pigs. The soup, chips and guacamole looked delicious Lorraine! Thanks for this video Jason, Lorraine, and Miss P.!
It's a tool..not an engagement ring...lol
Awesome Jason!
There's always drama with pigs...lol
I’m so excited to see your new build 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Your barn is beautiful. Such a great space to work.
Those chickens will live in style
GREAT SHOW...SURE WOULD LIKE THAT SAXAPHONE SOUND.
Jason, Chickens are coming to a town near YOU. Get ready. 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔
Pigs are looking great! Ain’t no drama like some pig drama!
I agree about the feed. We use the new country organic layer feed. Expensive, but so good.
I've got my incubator loaded with eggs from my chickens. Will be hatching in 2 weeks. And I still need to setup a place for them.
it's GO TIME
High tunnels are a great idea. I'd love just one!
That a very pretty light in the dining room guys...
Hi..... Jason and Lorraine and Penelope nice to see you love watching your videos homestead 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐔🐓🐣🐥🐕🐄🐖🌱🌺🌹🌻🌼🌸🌷🏡🎥👍👍👍
Hugs and blessings 🤗💞
Everything look great.
The new country feed may be sweet. You could mix some horse sweet feed or molasses with the pellets.
yay! i think high tunnels are awesome! great idea.
You can never have to much wood, scrapes etc...my hubby always ask can't we throw that piece away im like " naw as soon as I do I will need it"
I love you guys God bless ya
You are so funny Jason!! 😍🤩
I love your channel ❤
the best thumbnail!
You should have plowed and roter till land first befor seting in new structure plowing will help airet the soil and revive the seedbank and miselium in soil
I can't believe how big those pigs have gotten!! Your the crazy chicken guy (instead of crazy chicken lady, of which I am one):)
Building is growing and growing makes progess
Thankyou
So Jason it's now an established fact Is the sow the land chicken coup kit is coming soon!
Chicken season is UPON US!! Aaaaaack
The rhodes got a mini excavator and a track loader maybe they can help...
Love your channel ❤
Thanks guys! I appreciate it
Chicken math is real !
Jason, idea, check out the price of powder feeder calf milk, that depending on the cost/quantity, to mix into their food to make that cheaper brand food more tasty to them, just a thought, don't know, even a clue how much it would cost. versus the other food they like.
Jason you said it is just for chickens LOL remember if a termites shows up those chickens will eat them
Nice looking soup…
Love your videos. Can you do more videos about your faith?
Re: “Hopefully, I’ll have enough!”
😂😂😂
You can add wheels for pig house
Nice video ❤️👍🙋♂️
Why Not set up One of The Stalls For a Brooder pen.
LOL never stop.
Most of the wood i use i repurposed scrap wood..i dont have the money to buy expensive stamped lumber or even second cuts...but i have alot of lumber ive earned from helping people in the community demolish structures and they give the salvage to me instead of throwing it away or burning
Heya, that's gone be a pretty big chicken broder
Dimensional, perfect, clean? Where are you buying wood? Not at the big box stores.
Very nice video
Jason life never stops even if you ask Almighty to stop it for you sorry you doing a wonderful full job by teaching us about all your skills.God bless you and family always
we would watch the processing of animals if you can show it love your channel
Maybe mixing both feeds for them?
they would pick out the good stuff
You ever thought about using one of your horse stalls as a brooder?
Well Jason it's Now an established fact, The sow the land
