Apprentices will take a lot from the episode of the Trade Legends Podcast as I have a chat with Dave about his very clever way of getting his apprenticeship in the plumbing trade.. Don’t forget to get subscribed and hit that like button
Trade Legends is a brilliant podcast Im a Plumber/Heating Engineer and its great to get an insight into the different trades all the different struggles and adversities. This was my favorite podcast to date Dave is a fantastic guy and he deserves all the luck. Thanks for the great show and keep up the great work, John
Fair play for getting the apprenticeship to work from his own company setup (great initiative) on top of that a good catchy name 👍 Good work guys, I can see the channel growing slowly 👍
I remember around 2016 applying to loads of apprenticeships after completing university, from what I understand at that time employers couldn't get the levy for taking a graduate on, so I always got rejections.
@MJTiffPlumbing Currently I'm about 3 weeks into a college course to qualified in Stonemasonry, I managed to get a scholarship to cover the fees. After those rejections in 2016 I ended up doing a kind of informal apprenticeship with a stonemason but didn't have any paperwork at the end, in hindsight I got massively taken for a ride as free/illegally underpaid labour, plus being at a proper college now I can see there's a lot of the important basics I was never taught
