Aswell as the volvo but I like how it's a drift car but one of the most practical same with the volvo and bus but it's a project just not like a toy I guess it's more serious then the volvo and truck tho imagine it drifting that would be interesting and maybe stupid but I mean truck racings a thing and top gear did motorhome racing so it might not be just not with all the stuff in them
@@user-wm9pj2xj7z I mean to its credit, a live axle with a well-designed 4-link will usually do just as well on smooth pavement where drifting happens. Ride will definitely suffer for it off road, but on road or off it's reliable. Plus which, trying to design an IRS from scratch (or even trying to swap one in and not have the geometry be totally bonkers) is more complicated than just stickin with the 4-link. As long as that fifth link isn't causing any more problems, this setup should be absolutely fine for drifting... though a full floater with a little camber could do a little better, maybe?
Gingium! I'm working on my drift truck too. 1985 Ford F-150, 300 4.9 I6 and 3 speed auto. Daily driven, simple ass farm truck, 2 wheel drive. Fixed and Repaired daily is half the point, as soon as I replace the pistons and rings and all new lower bearings next week, I'm welding the diff after that and done. Glad to see yours still alive!
That drift event setup is quality. It lets people constantly be at it, and if you notice that you're out pacing everyone and not having issues etc, then its time to move up. That 240 should stay in the novice bracket whilst you moved up to the intermediate class or something, and you would end up behind drivers who are starting to get faster and more comfortable etc.
Heck yeah bro getting it. Sucks on the shop hope something works out soon. Your always welcome to come down our way and put some metal together. Just got 220 setup and all. Keep getting after it brother.
It might be a good idea to maybe go in on building your own shop, like maybe on Hunter's property go in halfsies on a medium sized steel building large enough to fit both of you guys' projects. Just an idea I don't know if that's feasible.
Dang dude, it’s wild… I started watching during the Forza days, then guys like Ricer Miata, Haggard Garage, and you when you switched up the content to IRL car stuff and it helped spark an interest of cars for me too. Now I’m learning about everything in the performance and racing industries at tech school and going to drift events at that same track. Never thought I’d see the day where one of my biggest inspirations is shredding tires at a place I know. Welcome to the Peach State big dawg!
Back when I had my b2000 it came with a miata dash. So I stuffed in my FC dash and found out the width and windshield contour were perfect. So if you can figure out a way to mount say an aluminum dash you can have a dash with more aftermarket support for pods and clusters.
I can definitely relate to the withdrawals from not having shop. I moved in November with full intentions to have a garage and ended up with out one but we are trying to have one built. And being told you cant drift a truck is just making me want to work on my coyote swap ranger more.
Caleb, Look at Federal SS595 tires for drift events like these. They are cheap, decently grippy, and will go like 20 laps before needing replacing. Theres a couple folks that have done endurance testing with a bunch of tires and these came above and beyond the rest. Also, The truck is far and above my favorite build.
My duude you're listening to Mac Miller I don't even know why but it just makes me so happy to know. Also, given the amount of seat time you've got, you're doing really great, kind of impressive! For me it's already cool to see you whipping it and I know that once you get some grippier tires and manage to get some angles it will be even more rewarding to watch.
Hey, I was the guy with the Cressida wagon. The truck was looking great out there. I originally wanted to a 1uz vvti swap but got talked out of it. If you go to the Friday drift and grip I'll be glad to give you a ride.
I feel your pain on finding a shop. I live in GA too, I've looked for a shop in Braselton, Cumming Alpharetta and Milton. And I dont want to be to far from home. I honestly thought you would have more luck on the east side of ATL.
George was always scammy, but if there's someone who knew everyone, it was George. I wouldn't do business with him, but I would use him for his contacts. I know lots of people I wouldn't trust with a dollar, but they can be helpful in other ways. Klaus would stab you for fun, but he's also the guy who knows where all the cheap car deals are. The important part is knowing who you're dealing with.
Don’t know if your still looking but up here by me they just put in a bunch of brand new shops Dawsonville a little bit of a ride to Lanier but not bad lol
Is buying vacant property in a nearby unorganized township (if there are any?) and building a shop/house an option? A scratch build would make lot of content too, even if it was like a year worth of that. I guess that would be a risky move though to temporary shift the type of content and it would be a lot of work trying to build anything in that heat. I recently bought 40 acres in my area, I only went to it once so far but I need to start mapping out where I want to clear and what I want to build first etc. Quite excited. My goal is to eventually live off grid there and I'll probably get more into working on vehicles and stuff too.
Dude, I've been following since you baught Molly maybe even longer since like gaming 🤔..... Seeing what you've become and the cars your building is legit inspirational 👏🥲
Don't freak out about the shop, just enjoy your builds and make content about that. I really enjoy your car vids, not only subscribed to watcho you creating things
about the shop: if you can buy the first one you showed us, buy it, don't rent. It will be a money pit, It will be tough, but it's a nice place if you can make it yours and solve its problems
Hey loved the video👌 just wanted say you should maybe reconsider the first shop you saw (the one with the pillars and the weird floor) because it maybe wasn’t THE absolute best but it’s still better than nothing 🤷🏽
Hey gingium love this truck seen it sense the beginning I’d always have wanted to see this truck with ITBs any thought on that? It’d be the tits for sure
After all this time i gotta say: *the drift truck still looks so god damn good*
YES.
The only build where he’s got enough space for everything he needs on the day

Yeah the Volvo does too lol
All of your builds are fun, but this little truck is still my favorite. It looks so unassuming.
Every time I drive each one its my favorite LOL
I have a Toyota pickup minitruck that I’m building for drifting and ngl I’m so happy a bigger youtuber built a drift mini
Building my 92 Isuzu to be a street truck. Wanna do a k24 swap!
@@_Gingium_ You should get sum chrome three piece wheels for the drift truck sir😎

I thought this truck would've snapped by now as Caleb learnt most of his welding on this. Fair play mate, well done!
There were some sketchy welds but looks like they are doing its job XD
Lol kinda same. I want to redo the front asap!
@@_Gingium_ irs the truck it would be so unique and awesome for drifting

Actually, @Gingium when you get a shop you should do the full floater! That'd be an interesting episode or two.
Tires blew up because the crazy amount of ebrake extensions. Track looks so much fun to drive. Good stuff.
The pan hard bar is still not controlling the side movement of the axle …it seems to allow around 1.5-2.0 of movement.
Yes I saw that too. Might be time for an upgrade to the rear end
Couple tips: Try to use less handbrake; only use it when necessary, and focus more on your throttle and steering inputs! And install an angle kit :)
100% needs an angle kit long wheel base more angle
@Stephen Turner Fabium 💪🏻
Moar clutch kick
Use handbrake less
It screws up the guy behind you lots
Other then that, your killing it
This is a weird way to to a drift event imo. It made me realize how sketchy those Forza Motorsport online lobbies are.
LOL it really is a real life Forza lobby
It made me think of the open lobby too
This is the project that got me hooked to your channel and is still my favorite. Glad to see it back!
i rewatched the guy popping the clutch like 3 times , it interesting when you see the process. Also its always satisfying
Good to see you getting back into this world. Now stay in it and get your seat time in.

I just bought an 89 b2200 and it was because of this little truck. 💯
Been waiting for this content for a while! Very nice to see that thing drifting again.
Glad you came out man!!! Loves the truck and you were ripping! Hope to see you again soon at another Itrack event
Hell yeah! Will def be out again soon!
Hell yeah, prove those people wrong by doing what you want to do.
Let the hunt continue, you’ll find somewhere.
The 1uz is such an amazing sounding engine
Toyota killed it with the 1UZ.

Yo bro - down past Macon has tons of spots and the cost of living is EVEN CHEAPER!
SCCA has a time trial at Road Atlanta in November. You should go with Molly.
I love so much the drift truck, is super sick and clean!!!
Lol. I worked at Caliber Collision at Oakwood. I love races at Road Atlanta. Especially Petite Lemans
Love the transition while drifting.

Do some rain gutter side skirts, and then add a ducktail spoiler on tailgate and that would go a long way on car.
God, that black R33 is beautiful
I noticed at 7:45 that your axle sways from side to side in transitions
Finally the drift truck again, this is what got me to your channel. I'm currently building a b2200.

Its certainly an idea, I just don't have the liquid assets needed to purchase property AND build a building on it.
