Don’t feel bad about it my shops electrical guy spent over 40 hours testing for issues and eventually found a aftermarket fuse tucked up behind the gas tank little electrical issues can be hard to find
On my 1UZ swapped IS300, I've had an issue with air fuel sensors with an internal short that was causing my ecu fuse to blow. On a Toyota Tundra 2UZ, I had a cam sensor wire that was intermittently shorting out to the block, due to a skinned wire. The wire had been damaged during a previous water pump replacement in which the sensor wires pinched between the pump and left bank timing cover backing plate. Although that problem was caught, the skinned wire was overlooked. I found the fault on both vehicles by randomly unplugging connectors until it stopped blowing fuses. From there, both were easy fixes, by just replacing those previously mentioned parts.
Can't wait to see this thing fully ripping. And even more excited to see the wide body build and paint job. Love seeing you improve every video! You're my favorite creator on RUclips right now.
Everything about the truck is sick. It’ll look sweet with a fresh paint job if that’s the plan. Also that dude sending you off into the track was cool asf.
Gotta roll that sound deadening. Those little bubbles are spots where it isn’t fully contacting the metal and therefore it isn’t dampening the vibration as much as it could. At least, that’s the theory.
I saw this s14 where they wrapped clear pool noodle around the roll cage of the interior and placed the lights inside it. You should try that on the drift truck's interior. It'll definitely match the outside underglow.
That thing is sexy mid-slide. All the hard work youve put into this thing is finally paying off. Even the track workers cant take their eyes off her! Mad props and respect, Caleb. Long time i been watching u and it never gets old like alot of other 'tubers. Youre a cool dude and u deserve all the fruits of your labor ⚡✌🏾
Im not huge into the drift scene. Infact, im not a fan at all. But i love the fact that youve paid your dues, and actually are using the vehicle as intended. Personally i love the fabrication end of your channel, but regardless, its still cool to watch. You do you though! Thanks for another video
I can't wait for the paint and final assembly of this beast. I know for sure that a 10-minute 'building of' Drift Truck v2.0 is gonna be lit!🔥(Please don't actually set this one on fire! lol .. all of the safety improvements should help it survive)
That happy laugh during your second run is the kind of stuff that I come back for. Even though it didn’t end the way you wanted, it makes me smile to see all of your hard work pay off.
I don't know if it'd look good on a truck like this, but I think this truck has potential to pull off a wood bed floor, it'd be different for sure, no one's putting a wood bed floor on their Mazda, though steel would obviously be stronger for actually using the bed
You're getting better for sure, I would 100% recommend removing the handbrake or just not ever using it. You seem to be relying on it way too much and it will likely harm your progression
Caleb, you should look into learning how to safety wire your bolts for the steering system. That way, even if they loose their initial torque value, they won’t be able to work themselves loose.
If that angle kit has to be re torqued every 5 or so laps I'd be safety wiring those suckers (as per most motorsport applications) so they can't move or come undone ..... its a potential safety issue Caleb....
you probably not gonna read this but for your widebody you can try to bring the ligths out with the fenders, just like those boxed japanse boso cars. Maybe
Rad bro and cant wait to see DTV2 and Molly upgrades and ripping together maybe😮😅 .. much love and respect brotha keep up the sick work , peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z fam
Hit that Friday event a few times, milk it... Not to profit, but to profit in skill. You'll learn the truck, we get to see your progress, and you can run it, break it, fix it, repeat way easier that way.
Sucks about the fuse, but this thing is rippin! It seems like you’re really having to row that e-brake to get it to work, idk how far they normally go so maybe that’s on purpose lol
I think I need a new diff since it whines crazy but I wanna hit a drift event or something with you soon I mean obviously I’m not gonna be with you drifting but yknow we can hit up Lanier with Johnny and Kurt
"You can definitely hear the supercharger more"... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Please don't!!! The engine sounds so good, don't ruin it with a ******* meower!!!
yeah your headlight beam was way to high. From the last event when you street tuned... them people flashing you their highbeams i was like yup way to bright lol huge fan on lights
keep working on that flick and you’re gonna be styling and another driving technique to play with us left foot braking to extend your line rather than the handbrake good shit though
Would you ever consider putting a wider rear axel on this ol’ girl? If I remember correctly you narrowed an 8.8 for it but would it be worth the wider track width and wide body thicc ness?
Drift truck deserves a PDM and completely new chassis harness
I think you’re right…
@@_Gingium_ I'm your guy
Oh fuck.
By someone who knows what they’re doing as well.
@@ProModsPerformancelike by your mom ?
I know blowing this fuse SEEMS like a small issues. But uh, spoiler alert, it’s still happening ☠️
Why not just run a dedicated ignition power. This will bypass the harness and isolate the issue.
@@mateorendon7000I second this
do an amp test while its running could have too many things on one circut
Well def no surprise the new ECU uses more power than the factory ECU, but if you're blowing larger fuses too, maybe something is shorted. Womp womp.

That’s very interesting. I’ll have to look into both solutions!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support
So happy the drift truck build is getting better viewership, it’s been a while since I’ve been this invested in a fab-heavy build.
Everything about the truck is sick. It’ll look sweet with a fresh paint job if that’s the plan. Also that dude sending you off into the track was cool asf.
5:41 maaan this is sick!

Gotta have some padding around the cage
Track guy: "I like that"
All of us who've been watching this build for the last 5 years: "yeah, we do too"
That shot at 9:35 is making the build look so small! Despite that, it still has the bigger bed and drifts better.

bro makes a smokescreen that makes him look like a Pro FD driver HAHAHAHA, I love it!
Its crazy looking at the smoke your truck produces compared to the others on track. Love this truck!

Why hasn't he looked at installing a fire-suppression system? It would save the car if it did get a little 🔥

It could be cool but I don’t think it’ll work for our situation
@@_Gingium_ Could always use some wood decals!
This needs to go to the LZ Compound and get some fine tuning done to it. I’d love to see you collaborate with Adam LZ on this.
yep. been saying that for a while now but idk.. wish this would become a thing
On my angle kit setup I just torque the jam nuts to the appropriate torque for a 3/4 jam nut (like 110ft-lb iirc) and then tack welded them.
How has this guy caleb not got 1,000,000 subs yet?
The damn algorithm
You're getting better for sure, I would 100% recommend removing the handbrake or just not ever using it. You seem to be relying on it way too much and it will likely harm your progression
with the wiring issues, might be smart to add either a fire supression system or some fine ass fire extinguisher close to reach
Can I just say. your drifting skills has improved so so mach. Would love to see you on a FD track. Good job man. Loving it!!!
Is that ricer that dropped his miata on teinz doing SCANDINAVIAN FLICKS NOW? Holy fuck Caleb, came a long way 🔥🔥🔥
Sorry to hear it, but glad it's an easy fix
Caleb, you should look into learning how to safety wire your bolts for the steering system. That way, even if they loose their initial torque value, they won’t be able to work themselves loose.
Reminds me of a Taylor Ray video
Man, love all the content, your builds are inspiring to see on the track, keep up the good work!
Yes sir that was smooth damn ..clean bro
Omg im soo in love with how the truck looks
Hit those body kit bolts with a black sharpie and it will improve the look of it a lot I think
Hopefully I get to see this thing rip in person again soon!
Yeah I'd say it makes some freakin' smoke!!! Your driving skill is wild already dude.
If that angle kit has to be re torqued every 5 or so laps I'd be safety wiring those suckers (as per most motorsport applications) so they can't move or come undone ..... its a potential safety issue Caleb....
Maybe red lock tight them
Dude that tire smoke was nasty 👌
Nice seeing the former ginger having fun on a track
As you have a 240 front suspension basically you can with a wisefab as well
looks like youre having fun that's awesome!
Can’t wait to take some pictures of the truck at Lanier 🤙🏼 good luck guys!
Obsessed with this build.
Should look into a day at Midpond in Alabama now that you’re down here in the south!
Makes molds of the side skirts before they get destroyed!
Fender flares and spacers for the rear
My first thought was ECU, but not fuse. At least you know now!
Man that truck is sick makes lots of wheel speed which equals maximum 💨💨💨💨💨
would be badass to see you drifting with the truck with another big drifter like Adam LZ
you probably not gonna read this but for your widebody you can try to bring the ligths out with the fenders, just like those boxed japanse boso cars. Maybe
That is one mean clouds machine!
"Lemme out, lemme out!"

Maybe invest into Wisefab angle kit?
this truck deserves to be in SEMA next year
Hit that Friday event a few times, milk it... Not to profit, but to profit in skill. You'll learn the truck, we get to see your progress, and you can run it, break it, fix it, repeat way easier that way.
Thinkin’ a faster steering rack and pinion would help, especially in the transitions.
Why is the pull on the hand brake so long?
Sucks about the fuse, but this thing is rippin! It seems like you’re really having to row that e-brake to get it to work, idk how far they normally go so maybe that’s on purpose lol
I have a good habit of checking every fuse even if they are completely unrelated because I have a bad habit of buying other people’s project cars.
Hey gingium soooo what does the truck weigh?
ginge what type of livery style do you prefer ; old school dtm/racecar or hot boi flames ?
This thing RIPPPPPPPS 😮
Question, ever gonna do a build with a VK56?
LMK next time you plan on coming out to C&O. I'll gladly make a small drive (im 30mins away) and snap some photos for you!
people liking it since its not too often you see a 1uz mini out there sliding like its a car
Is the factory ECU fuse big enough for the modem ECU? Might be the problem
Dude this truck is so fuckin coooooollllll. I got an LS in my car already but I need a 1UZ. This thing sounds nasty
Cool stuff
I think I need a new diff since it whines crazy but I wanna hit a drift event or something with you soon I mean obviously I’m not gonna be with you drifting but yknow we can hit up Lanier with Johnny and Kurt
*So what did you do to quiet up the exhaust?*
that truck needs to go to SEMA

damn things a smoke grenade lmao!
Its the Honda key chain
should have put a 1nz fe motor in it
Where’s the turbo FIT videos? Coming soon I hope
Gingium
Cant wait till you are 100% comfortable with all the new changes because this thing is mean and gonna be nasty to drive!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
how much horsepower does this make? guestimates?
Try to rip a few runs without the handbrake :D Helps you become smoother in some cases.
Would you ever consider putting a wider rear axel on this ol’ girl? If I remember correctly you narrowed an 8.8 for it but would it be worth the wider track width and wide body thicc ness?
3 or 4 drift videos in a row ain't it
Drift Truck!!!
Loctite the piss out of the fdf kit
Fix the damn e brake holy shit thats so bad, you shouldn’t have to pull it to the floor
Is you didn't know whey motor it was you'd think it was v an ls3
Yo this truck just blows real actual cancer. Sick. :)
Shit, dat thing is smoke machine 😁
