    Many said Pidcock would win today by dropping others on the descent.
    He himself got dropped 6.5kms from the Galibier summit & totally cracked...losing a massive 11+mins on the day.

      IMO he needed to get into the break to have a shot - there was no way he would hang onto the UAE train - I guess there’s a reason they brought the team they did: not to control, yet to hammer the living daylight out of everybody on the climbs - that head over head riding on the Galibier was spectacular

      Does it not seem strange that he obliterated everyone on the climbs & descent, the day he won on Alpe Du'ez, yet can't hold the wheels up climbs now?

    Once again, great stage summary. Carapaz sank like a rock on stage 4. I did t see that coming.
    De Lie is fast, but I am not so sure how good his lead out is or well he does in large bunch sprints. Unless there is another crash, I doubt he makes the podium: Philipsen, Groenewegen, and either Pedersen (or outside pick, Girmay)
    I’d love to be wrong. I have two sprinters on my team and De Lie is one of them.

    • @CyclingGuy
      @CyclingGuy  2 месяца назад

      Cheers ey, he doesn’t have the lead-out Philipsen or Pedersen has, yet I have faith in De Lie. And I’m with you on Carapaz, I hadn’t expected such a big loss
