That Ordinary acid is VERY strong. You have to work your way up to it. Do NOT exfoliate before you use it. It is an efoliant itself. Use no more than ONCE A WEEK. That said, if you work your way up to it, your skin will adjust. I can now use it for the full 10 mins without it burning at all. It has done wonders for my skin! I had terrible cystic acne scars that are almost all gone with about 8 months of using this product. It’s a holy grail item!
Edit: And please do not put it directly onto your face. Put it on the back of your hand first and then spread on your face with your fingertips. You could risk getting it in your eye by putting it on the way she did. It’s really dangerous to put such a strong ACID on like that. Please educate yourself before using products like this!

Well said👏🏻 also putting it on the skin like she did, where the pipette touches the face and putting it back in can cause bacteria in the hole bottle.

So the Revlon tool is a hair dryer... and the smaller boar bristles are for smoothing and straightening the hair - it’s a game changer for those of us with truly unmanageable or frizzy hair, or with wavy or curly hair who want to blow dry it straight.... it’s not really meant to volumize super long already straight pretty much dry hair 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh, Mia, when you used The Ordinary peel... I was screaming, "Take it off!!!" I was worried you were going to keep it on for the 10 minutes. 😬
It's a good product. It works but it is not for sensitive skin. I've used it for over a year. At the beginning my skin was rough so I barely felt a tingle. Now, it's much smoother, my pores are smaller and it has reduced acne scars BUT I can't leave it on for the full 10 minutes anymore. It burns. The first time it started to burn, I stuck with it for the 10 minutes. BAD IDEA. My face was burned. It was so red. I was scared I had done some real damage but I put a super thick moisturizer (during the night) and face oil (the next day) and my skin was good.
I still use it but only leave it on for 5 mins. I don't do it weekly either. Now, I follow it with a thick moisturizer ALWAYS.

One important note on the ordinary product (for the people on the comments asking)
This is a powerful chemical peel! You should ALWAYS do a patch test before applying it. You should not use this is you have very sensitive skin. It Should be used at night only and wear sunscreen on the days after using it. If you are using other chemical exfoliates like Lactic acid, Glycolic acid, etc, or vitamins like Retinols, please don’t apply them together with this product. If your skin is sensitive you should also try to stop these products on the days before and after using this chemical peel. This is a wonderful product for people with texture and acne scars, but please please do your research, watch some videos from dermatologist/estheticians before you put it on your face.

Lactic acid is an AHA that is especially good for people with sensitive skin.
Lactic acid is the most hydrating of all the acids, so oftentimes it’s used for sensitive skin that has kind of a more delicate skin barrier and therefore needs more hydration in the skin. But if you are not sure what to use, consider talking to your dermatologist/ esthetician. Hope I can help you😊

When my hair air drys it comes out gross and curly in a bad way so it ain’t cute, when I use a blow dryer it does work but I have to use a round brush or I blow dried it just so the bad curls could come back faster, I bought the revelon brush about a month ago, it is super quick and easy and doesn’t give me the gross curls, it gives me the straight hair I go for. It was also really hard for me to hold to dryer and brush at the same time so that helped. Also it is so much quick with the revelon brush, I have thin hair and it gets greasy so I wash it daily, other people may have had diffrent experiences with it though, this is mostly just my opinion! 💗

For the Ordinary face exfoliator it’ll burn if u have any cuts/open wounds or have recently shaved your face. If it burns right away and continues to burn, yes you should take it off right away. I have the product and it does work well for me despite my sensitive skin but if you go in direct sunlight I suggest putting on sunscreen so your face won’t burn. The product removes dead skin and pushes knew skin to the surface preventing blackheads, blemishes, acne scars, acne, etc. I hope this helps :)

I would give the "The Ordinary" product another try, add a small drop to a cleanser or oil and let it sit for 3-5 minutes, this way your skin will still get the benefit of the acid but will also be easier on the skin.
I know with other acids by them they suggest doing this so your skin becomes used to the acid. Also never use it after exfoliating!!! the acid is already there to remove the dead skin so using it after exfoliating is basically removing the dead skin but also trying to remove the new fresh skin underneath too.

Acid is an exfoliate, a chemical one instead of physical. If you have sensitive skin Alpha Hydroxy alone is enough without Beta Hydroxy. Look for products with AHA only without BHA.

    • @lauraku7556
      @lauraku7556 4 года назад +1

I think she should try a different exfoliating product because the ordinary one is too strong and it is not for some people with really sensitive skin. also BHA and AHA do different things, BHA is oil-soluble and therefore goes ways deeper and it more suitable for ppl with acne and oily skin while AHA is water-soluble and peels the surface of skin. diluting it could make it ineffective as it would change its pH

Ive never had any luck with that 2-handed technique where you use a round brush and hair dryer, I never managed to get the hang of that for some reason. The dryer brush works well for me though, I brush my hair all different directions with it and make sure to do the top layers of hair by rolling it towards the scalp to build volume. My hair is a fair bit shorter than yours though so perhaps that helps 🤷‍♀️ loved the video :)

The KISS Impress nails are amazing! I use them all the time. They typically last 1 to 2 weeks for me. You have to wait 45 min to an hour before getting them wet. It says so in the instructions :)

Just FYI my skin burns like a mother when I use that ordinary product! It's a chemical peel so it's normal for it to burn but the results after are fire no pun intended 🤪

I love kiss nails! When I do them I roughen my nails of first to make them last longer. It also says to wait an hour or 2 before getting them wet and continue pressing them for about a half hour after application. All of this will help them last longer. When I wash dishes at McDonald’s I can get mine to last about a week.

It's so cute when tiktok "discovers" stuff that made the rounds on youtube/instagram 2-3 years ago. ❤

I have the ordinary peeling solution as well. My skin is also pretty sensitive, so I usually leave it on for 7 minutes but never the whole 10.

Mia, I love the stick on nails and use them all the time. They stay on for weeks!!!! The only bad thing is that’s when you take a shower and you run your fingers through your hair the hair gets stuck in them if you don’t stick them on enough 😕

Mia i think you should give the revlon dryer another try! If you place it under the hair at the root and twist it to the outside while brushing it out you get the waves! The way u used it was just straight ending it!

I have done my own acrylics before as well and I’m so over it they come out so nice but also I’m kind of only 90% sure of exactly how to do it… and it’s a lot of filing and it’s just NOT relaxing at all it’s WORK!!
Also Mia I’m sorry if I comment too much on your videos I hope you appreciate me jogging the algorithm (not like you need it!) -- but seriously I can’t thank you enough I have been going through so much stress for so long and your videos are such a nice bright way for me to relax and enjoy a cute video without going deep in thought and it’s literally just SO appreciated 🙏🏽 THANK YOU
