- Rudolph Valentino was an Italian actor based in the United States who starred in several well-known silent films including The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, The Sheik, Blood and Sand, The Eagle, and The Son of the Sheik.
Valentino was a sex symbol of the 1920s, known in Hollywood as the Latin Lover (a title invented for him by Hollywood moguls), the Great Lover, or simply Valentino. His premature death at the age of 31 caused mass hysteria among his fans, further cementing his place in early cinematic history as a cultural film icon.
He was a good actor. He was able to play romance comedy and drama. I have watched all his important movies, and he was a gifted actor.

Rudy was very good actor and could play comedy as well as drama.
Had he lived longer I am certain that he would have made the transition to the talkies very well.
He apparently had a deep pleasant speaking voice with a slight Italian accent.
Sadly we will never know!
It is so very sad that he passed away at 31 of an illness that had antibiotics and fever reducing medicine been developed in 1926.
He would have been saved.

This is the first leading man to capture the audience and by far the best to this day. I’m a straight male so I say that with all of my heart and respect to this down to earth gentle and courage’s artist that set the stage. Before him there was only women who enticed the audience with their sexual presence but this man blew them away because sexuality comes from the character and personality and this man is a one of a kind. In a world where man is either to soft or to hard this man was a perfect balance.

A relative by marriage was in two scenes with him in The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse...several glimpses of him in the tango scene and then later, directly behind him in the tango palace scene with Alice Terry! I've written a blog post and am working on the video version for my channel...He left the tour...didn't fold.
And I must say I am fed up with the medical world for how many times they screw something up and it ends up killing the patient when the person would have survived without their medical freakin help. We screw up a food order and we get hell from the boss while a doctor takes a life because they screw up and nothing is done. I’m telling you this world is upside down.
