      Who knows, if they run outta shuttles they can use a couple r62a's for shuttle service down there, regular new Yorkers won't notice

      @@Dezlite it'll be fine, I have seen new yorkers literally jump over pools of puddled from leaks in the roof just to get to their train, and most of those time those pools were larger than the gaps seen in the video

      That’s interesting considering they can’t be in service due to the larger gaps with A divison equipment

    I remember catching the R62A action in the Rockaways video when it was first released on your channel and thinking that was definitely not something you see every day. Also the R32 set on the R in 2014 was throwback central for me--makes me wish I had rediscovered my railfan fandom earlier on (I didn't get back into the hobby until 2019) considering that day in 2014 was the very last time the R32 would ever see service on the R.

    The R14 is a rare example of a ogee roof car left. Only six other ogee roofline cars are still at NYCT: 1939 World's Fair Steinway motor 5655 at 207th shop, the two R12/R14s at 207th yard, R12 5760 at the main museum in Brooklyn and the two R10s (not counting 1575 which is an aftermarket rebuild). The R12/R14 was an evolution of the 1939 World's Fair design (done by the NYCBOT and the IRT and was a hybrid of the IRT Low V and IND R1-R9.

      You know the R12 R14s used to run on the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line before they torn down the Thrid Avenue Elevated down. If they would of never tair down the Thrid Avenue Elevated line i grerente you the R62AS would of definitely replacing the R12S R14s on the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line like they did on the 1 3 6 S and 4 lines replacing all the R12 R14s and the R17S R21S R22s R15S. Now The R14S/as had to replaced by the old good ledges Redbirds. What we definitely have left on the iRT lines is the R62AS R62S on the 1 3 6 S lines. We have to start appciating the R62AS R62S on the 1 3 6 S lines while they are in passenger service. Pretty soon the R262/As open and close ways will be replacing the R62S and the R62AS. On the 1 3 6 S lines.

      That was a big crime of tairing down the Thrid Avenue Elevated line. The 2 5 8 lines has the same exact metal steel structures Elevated lines.

      @@leecornwell5632 Moses reportedly was behind it. The 2/5 elevated is Dual Contract, different from the earlier Third Avenue El.

      Robert mosses was selfish and dum to tair down the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line down because he could not stand for no extra elevated lines to be the way they are. Robert mosses had have people the money 💰 to build the highways . It was a big crime tairing down the Thrid Avenue Elevated line down and a terrible thing to do. That's the reason why they have those 8 signs on the R62AS and R142/As . Plus they have the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line announcements all the old stops. They know dam well the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line never sleeps and not dead . Just because they torn down the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line down it doesn't mean the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line is not gone. Yeah they torn down the Thrid Avenue Elevated line down and definitely still in the system.

    I'm confused. The R62A is an A-Division Train. That track between Rockaway and Broad Channel is for B-Division trains. I thought the two used different gauges?

    • @a....b...
      @a....b... 11 месяцев назад +2

      Well im not too familiar into the mta stuff but A division models(r62's r142/a' and r188's) can go into a B division area. The only reason why they dont is because of the huge gap between the A division's models and the B divisions platform.

      The A division trains use the same track gauge, however the loading gauge is smaller.
