@@DJHammersTrains So I actually used to live on Lefferts Pl (Not Blvd) which is the street that runs under the Shuttle at the Franklin Ave stop. I also used to take the Shuttle almost every weekday to connect to the D at Prospect Park, then to the R to Bay Ridge Ave where I went to HS. Dean St was still a station then. Very very few people would board there though. Also I almost got robbed of my Starter jacket at Prospect Park right after getting off the Shuttle...the arriving D train on the adjacent track saved me! Oh and I have some stories about the shuttle...will share another time. BROOKLYN BABY!!

#DJHammers: 5:25 - Had to acknowledge that timestamp as a 42 year old New Yorker. A tear came to my eyes pausing at that moment. God, all we needed was the Twin Towers to the right of the screen, and this could have made for a great throwback shot!❤
The rarast catch I found was an r62 running on the 4 train like back in 2018 I was like 8 an not even knowing the cars name I knew that was rare, also i think it was going via the 6 line to pehlam bay park
For someone not from NYC, could you explain what's so rare about these sightings? Like, I understand that C service rerouted via F trackage is unusual for example, but is there something special about the rolling stock that's been used?
God, I remember when i was a little 6 to 7 year old watching these old train videos. I Would usually do it in a specific order and the following: R160 (A) Train Action R160 (D) Train Action R160 (G) Train Action R143 (M) Train Action R143 (J) Train Action R142 (1) Train Action R142A (2) Train Action R142A (5) Train Action R142 (6) Train Action
If I could go in the Hot Tub Time Machine back to the 80’s I'd immediately ride the Franklin Ave Shuttle at Dean Street
tbh same
Come into my doctor who Tardis and I'll visit every abandoned station when it was was first opened

Most of the rare rolling stock catches are of stock not normally used on those lines
For the C via F, R32s rarely run on the Culver line so that's why its even cooler
Customer on the 1 train: Help me I'm in the 80s!"
what's a 3rd ave yard like is it in NYCT or what I've never heard of that
so funny i was on the R68 D Trains last week I haven't seen a R160 D
