Cool video. I have a small 10ft Livingston Cat that I fish 5 to 10 miles off the coast of So-Cal. One thing I would recommend is having lights like a strong flashlight and also bow and stern lights just in case you're out stuck and it gets dark. ~ Cheers

We never stray too far from land, but there are plenty of boaters who are more adventurous than us. We've seen videos of people going out to the reefs on motor-powered kayaks, so a jon boat doesn't seem too crazy by comparison lol
