I missed the live (watching now) but I have talked to people both via phone and via support who have been contacting us to put in new orders, upgrade existing orders and just saying great things about this show!!
Garrett thanks for everything you do... not just for PwnCNC but for the CNC community!! It's the best group of people in the world and a place I definitely consider home!!!
ClintonPwnCNC, happy to have you here brother!
I'm sorry I missed the live show all so. Thank u for the video and yes please bring Daniel back and thank u.
roblehmann2378, you are so welcome my friend.
Why does a VFD have to be used ? I have an open builds that has a black box 32 with an interface that shows spindle control. ?
A vfd converts single phase to 3 phase
Hey Garrett, sorry I missed the live viewing. Is it possible to install a spindle on a Bob's cnc Evo 5? I have the Makita trim router on there now.
Unfortunately the Bob's will not support the weight of the spindle
@@IDCWoodcraft that's what I was worried about. I just caught a glimpse of the Altmill today.
Does your spindles and vfd adjust RPM as the feed rate of the machine changes during a 3d relief carve? My machine will automatically change feed rate during a 3d relief carve no matter what I have the feed rate set to. I've seen as low as 7ipm feed rate which changes chip load and is just wearing bits out prematurely because the router is still spinning at a high rpm
bubba6945, good question brother. Typically the spindle speed stays the same and you adjust your feedrate to suit the job you are doing if you are trying to change your settings on the fly. For your situation its best to start with the right feeds and speeds to start brother!
@@IDCWoodcraft it don't seem to matter what speeds I set my feed rate to. That's my point lol I can set it to 100ipm or 50 ipm it will change as it's making the pass. If the detail is nice and smooth it runs the IPM I set but once it comes to an area in the model that is raised it dips it will decrease IPM in its own I've seen it drop to 7ipm with a 120 imo feed rate set in my cam program which is just excessive wear on my tooling because the router is preset at the speed we set them to. I was hoping the spindle speed would follow the IPM of feed rate and ramp up n down based on the IPM the machine actually moves. If not the spindle has very little use for my application other than it's cool 😂
So on your long mill if you do a 3d relief carve and you set your feed rate to 100ipm it runs that IPM all through the carve? If so I'm buying one ASAP the Onefinity black box controller is configured so that it does as I've mentioned. There is no user adjustment. You basically set the max you want it to ever go and the controller automatically slows the feed rate down.
Is the audio available anywhere else?
LavinWoodworks, I am sorry brother but not yet!
Great review! Is it possible to put all the links in the description from the chat?
marcuspedroza52, I am sorry brother but I dont think RUclips has that functionality quite just yet. Sorry I cant help you in that department.
@@IDCWoodcraft no worries Joe Lazzara helped me with what I needed
I’m sorry I was not able to join last night!
chrispelletier3661, catch you on the next one brother!
