    Good video Mike
If using a Solvent based sealer, Dry is key, the concrete area you want to re-seal need's to be completely dry, test a patch by taping clear plastic to the concrete and leave it on for a couple of hour's, any moisture in the concrete will show through the plastic film.
Any moisture, don't seal yet, water and solvent don't mix and your job could go smokey.

Thanks for the tips Mike. Great instructional video for the DIY driveway and patio.
Florida sun is brutal on my Acrylic Sealer.
I've noticed the areas where my cars park remain glossy versus portions of my driveway that get hammered by the sun and turn a hazy white.
There is an ongoing battle in South Florida on my acrylic sealed stamped concrete driveway, but when it is freshly applied it is a gorgeous sight

I wished the guys doing our patio which were professionals had just once watched your video. We are going into 1 month of them messing around doing various things and our patio still is a hot mess with color then paint after that. Failure to use the proper equipment to begin with after watching your video. Had they used the sandblast method and properly removed entirely all the sealer it wouldn’t continue to bubble upon any application. We are all frustrated at this point. Thanks for your video maybe the contractor will look at this video…

@@MikeDayConcrete Working on an interior job where they put solvent based sealer and now it's flaking up. I've sprayed Xylene with mixed results - some areas good but some still have white spots, I assume due to moisture. Can't really pressure wash as it's inside. Would a greater amount of Xylene and a good brush work, or something else?

Awesome video, thank you. Side question though if you don’t mind. When removing an old sealer that took 2-3 coats in certain spots to get it all up, if that old sealer that rises to the surface during the 30 min dwell time we’re to get on the garage door in a couple spots and sit on paint, shouldn’t it not strip the paint since has already become unbonded from the paver. We kept washing behind us; but some paint did come off, so I’m just curious another opinion on that. (It was a solvent based sealer that we got up). When we applied it with a pump up sprayer it didn’t get on anything, it was only during the surface cleaner and turbo nozzle process

If we remove the old seal from stamped concrete by sandblasting and wanted to add the color back in like your video shows.... do we have to seal it? Or if we don't want to reseal the stamped concrete after removing the seal with sandblasting, can we just leave it without doing anything else. We have had nothing but trouble with oxidation over the last 10 years since we put the stamped concrete in the south facing front walkway and porch. We really don't want to deal with the seal again.

I don’t know why anyone would want to re-apply a solvenated acrylic sealer so it can have the same result in a year or two. There are really good two-part polyurethane sealers that will not flake and turn white and last for years. All you have to do in the future is clean and lightly re-seal to bring back to life. I have used Endurable Concrete Sealer for 10 years and never gone back to acrylics. I make my living treating interior and exterior floors and have had great results with nano-particle stains and poly sealers. All that being said I really enjoy Mike’s videos and find most of them very informative.

So basically any method of refurbishing your patio or walkway is going to ruin the yard, sandblasting or soda blasting both would kill the grass and so does using a chemical for removal if the pressure washer attachment doesn't work. There has to be a better, safer way to maintain a stamped patio

Nope, good luck, chemical strippers won't harm much if you collect most of it, if you want to do it the hard way , pour a little at a time, spread with a paint brush , collect or scrape off ,do not let it dry, use painters solvent or acetone to wipe off residue

Those are actually acceptable foe a job like this where she is just back-rolling. That footwear usually is flat with no tread which is good for not leaving footprints

So this does not seem like a very good way to do things if it damages the grass or any vegetation, you would think there is a better way.
