The salesman I bought my Ioniq 6 from advised me to leave the warnings on, but to turn down (or off) the notification volume. That way you still have the visual notifications on the display but without the constant beeps.

As a owner of the classic Ioniq the regen level 0 or coast mode is the best mode ever. You need to know how to use it and I use it all the time and use the paddles like flappy paddle gearbox. I would have a hard time in a car that didn't have it or even the regen paddles it's not the only car with coast mode or regen 0 mode.

Here in Ireland although we drive on same side as you, the right hand stalk operates windscreen wipers and the left stalk is for light.

iPedal mode: I stopped using it because of the chimes! Every time I engaged or disengaged cruise control, it changed in and out of iPedal, with a chime. Drove me nuts.
There's also a bit of a safety risk with using iPedal: The brake lights don't come on unless you lift almost completely off throttle! You can be wiping off quite a lot of speed with partial throttle without the brake lights on, so beware! Do some testing at night when you can see the brake lights in the rear view mirror. I now default to the mid-level regen, and use the paddles to adjust the braking force I need so I can stay completely off throttle, ensuring the brake lights are on to show I'm slowing down.
(Note: I don't think the brake lights come on at all in regen settings 0-2)

I drive a Tesla M-3 and I love the minimalist interaction , especially the voice commands as I do not have to take my hands off the steering wheel which makes for safer driving. A good example is "show me the tire pressure " & the tire pressure for all four wheels appears on the screen. Fantastic! Safe and efficient! Buttons collect dust and grease from your hands plus constant maintenance. The cost of maintenance since 2018 has been one 12-volt battery installed by Tesla Mobile Service at my home. Fantastic! My next vehicle will be a Model Y. 😊

So the lane keep assist that is free in this car is not as good as the 15 000$ option in the tesla?

No way do i want a car to start just because i got in. I want the car to turn on when i choose it to.

Wow! 20 kWh/100km. You must have the AWD and you must be a bit heavy on the power. I have had my RWD for 4 months and after 4,400 km my long term consumption is 13.8 kWh/100km. I use the auto-regen almost all of the time and in eco-mode. Driving style sure matters.
I love this car and even the speed warning beeping is something that I have gotten used to. IF I really want to speed above the limit I just need to make sure I keep it above the limit and there are no more beeps 😉😁

i really didn't like the delay on acceleration... but all those pings/beeps/chimes were a real deal breaker for me; was VERY annoying; no way I could sleep as a passenger (or have a passenger sleep) though looking at comment below from Michael they are able to turn them off in NA?...

    • @michaelcollier8768
      @michaelcollier8768 Год назад

North America. Yep, they can be turned off. I don't notice any delay in acceleration, unless you are in eco mode where it's supposed to be a little sluggish because heavy feet are bad for efficiency. There are 3 drive modes and it's easy and quick to change between them.

An indicator stalk on the correct side seems to indicate a manufacturer who gives a @#$&. Tesla can’t be bothered…..and possibly worse soon………sheet !!!

Nice Vid but terrible efficiency!!! What the heck are U doing, driving with the e-brake on?? We have the Ioniq 6 AWD 18" wheels here in Beautiful BC, Canada and our highway efficiency is rarely more than 15-16 kWh/100km and we have been averaging high 13's and mid 14's on most of our road trips. And, we mostly do the 10+ speed limit rule so we are usually averaging 100-110 km/hr and have taken many many mountain passes. 6000 km and counting. Super car so far with super efficiency, great power, super quiet, smooth, and ez to drive. Plus, here in NA at least, you can turn off the beep beeps.

Yeah weird with my efficiency, right? Never got better than 19kWh/100kms. 🤷

      @@chrisvanderstock I wondered too. Our Ioniq 6 doesnt get pampered and its getting 13's / 100km, 8km/kw

The "you are faster than the allowed speed" beeping is an EU requirement from 2024 on.
Cars that can detect the signs, have to beep if you are going too fast.
Too bad that there are a lot of places where the car reads the wrong signs.
