Weirdly enough the ICE is french, developed by Renault for Geely and Geely put it in a Mercedes. But that is actually fine, Renault is isn't half bad at designing engines. (Although Mercedes is better), the C class is all about keeping the cost down. E and S class are more focused on quality.
