All Kendrick’s albums are tied together . This album is a movie some what , all the skits bring it all together when you listen to it all the way through . Dope reaction .
Great reaction. Gotta listen to the actual album cuts instead of the music video versions. Those records all have skits that tie into the next song. The songs hit harder when you catch the skit before
Yoooo uploaded TODAY?? Siiick Ive been catching everyone's reactions to all of Kendrick's music and its been verh enlightening to hear the perspectives of all of yall, thank you so much for uploading!
and i will say, listening to this reaction and TPAB, youre so locked onto both the direct and hidden meanings of everything that idk what to say "you missed" here lmao you came out with the same understanding of these that many, like myself, needed many listens to get to lmao You a whiz for real
I can still remember where I was when I first heard this album damn... take me back! 24 now but it's crazy looking at how much time has past. Sing About Me/Dying of Thirst, Sherane, County Blues Building (a deluxe song not featured on the original album) and Art of Peer Pressure made me realize KDOT was different. I loved his projects before GOOD KID but this let me know he would be around for a long time cementing himself as a legend.
absolutely love this album, btw Anyone who has lived in these kinda of areas resonate with it heavy as hell, not to mention the production and immersion is amazing, as always with Kendrick
I watched a few of your different movie and album reactions tonight and you have a super dope way of sharing your perspective while still giving your full attention to make sure you gather everything. Really glad I found your channel and looking forward to seeing you continue to grow! 🙏🏾 (Also love your hairstyle)
“Is she setting him up?” 😏 U were all into the drama. Kendrick is a beast at storytelling so I get it. I loved this skits on this album & how it all tied things together. This is my personal fav album of his.
What’s amazing about good kid is this is Kendrick’s backstory and upbringing. The album ends with him meeting Dr dre and basically making it. After everything he’s been through. Now what’s even crazier is this is where to pimp a butterfly picks up. Which is why the album starts with “when I get signed homie Ima act a fool”. That album is him losing himself in the industry and finding himself again. Just always thought that was real and clever.
Thank you for sharing this excellent listening experience/reaction of the classic album, ‘GKMC’. You/your channel are a “rare gem”. This is a magical journey you’re taking us on. Thank you, again, for sharing this excellent & refreshing listening experience. Peace & Love
I can't believe im just now finding this.. she definitely earned a new subscriber outta me. Love her approach, seemed very focused and immersed in it. You can tell she wanted to try her best to understand the complete story that Kendrick was telling. I appreciate this content !!
Dope reaction video! If you do a part 2 to this video you should listen to the songs from the deluxe version. More great songs and more profound stories from kendrick
15:03 "I fcked Sherane and went to tell my bros, then Usher Raymond let it burn came on" basically he caught an STD 🤣 "Hot sauce on his top ramen" literally and metaphorically lol
@@lougehrig1786 In a interview? Idk but that's definitely a metaphor about catching an std. The Line before "Back when condom wrappers wasn't cool" ties in
There’s something about how you break down the songs, even though they are very deep and complicated songs you simplify them in a very nice way. Good luck with your channel ❤
I never actually watched the video 😅. But since you mentioned it only being red and blue maybe it's meant to be like a black / "hood" retelling of Romeo and Juliet - The star crossed lovers both passing at the end🤷🏾♂️.
Love that album. Compton is my favorite track, especially how the guy harmonizes in the end. This was very entertaining. Good looking out. You should Check out Nas- Untitled Album an Nas-Life is good Album. Keep grinding, you will get to a million plus subs. 👊 ✊️
You should have listen to the album version not the music videos. Swimming pools had another verse that you missed because you watched the video/radio version. Also your missing all the skits
Hi, Miss Journey! I'm going to listen to this soon. But first, I'm mad atcha! Just kidding lol. I love the "Death Row" shirt, I'm jealous! 😄 All I had to see was the words and it got me! I ain't mad atcha, but gotta find a shirt like that. All seriousness, I will listen to this video soon. A lot has been going on. As always, I wish you the best!!!! 🙂❤️💯
SORRY I DIDN’T LISTEN TO THE ALBUM THE RIGHT WAY SINCE I WATCHED SOME MUSIC VIDEOS, ILL MAKE SURE I DO IT RIGHT IN THE FUTURE👌🏻HOPE YOU STILL ENJOYED❤️

Sing About Me is the greatest song ever. The most important, impactful, and impressive lyrical song i’ve ever heard.
Probably my most played song ever
A very sad song but powerful
Great reaction. Gotta listen to the actual album cuts instead of the music video versions. Those records all have skits that tie into the next song. The songs hit harder when you catch the skit before
Yoooo uploaded TODAY?? Siiick
Ive been catching everyone's reactions to all of Kendrick's music and its been verh enlightening to hear the perspectives of all of yall, thank you so much for uploading!
Btw, every song on this album ends in a recorded skit, and i think you may have missed some of it because they arent present in the music videos.
Wait nvm you got it all pulled up lmao
and i will say, listening to this reaction and TPAB, youre so locked onto both the direct and hidden meanings of everything that idk what to say "you missed" here lmao
you came out with the same understanding of these that many, like myself, needed many listens to get to lmao

This album came out my first year in college and it’s been my favorite album since. Appreciate your breakdown. Can tell you respect the craft.

“Is she setting him up?” 😏
U were all into the drama.

Wow I kinda wish I listened to them in order then, but either way the story in both of them is really beautiful🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing this excellent listening experience/reaction of the classic album, ‘GKMC’. You/your channel are a “rare gem”. This is a magical journey you’re taking us on. Thank you, again, for sharing this excellent & refreshing listening experience. Peace & Love
Thank you that means a lot🙏🏼I’m glad you’re enjoying😊
I would recommend “The Melodic Blue” Album by Baby Keem, him and Kendrick are family. Kendrick is on that album as well
Section 80 started his evolving! Kendrick lamar ep and overly dedicated were the foundation.
The Recipe and Collect Calls were bonus tracks on this album 🫤
I love u sm n I’m glad u are enjoying Kendrick’s catalog really one of the best in rap history 💙 Damn and section 80 next hopefully 💙
Thank you!! I’m glad you’re enjoying & those are definitely next👌🏻

Dope reaction video! If you do a part 2 to this video you should listen to the songs from the deluxe version. More great songs and more profound stories from kendrick
fun fact, MC Eiht is Ryder on GTA San Andreas
This is probably his best album!
“Did she set him up!?” Recognizing that after the first song is crazy
🤣🤣🤷🏼♀️
34:12 I'm sure we all had that same expression when we heard it for the first time.
They was celebrating the death of Molly/ 💊 the time he came in the game the industry music was all about that ..his presence represented change .
Really insightful reaction ❤️
Thank you!!
15:03 "I fcked Sherane and went to tell my bros, then Usher Raymond let it burn came on" basically he caught an STD 🤣 "Hot sauce on his top ramen" literally and metaphorically lol
Ohhhh wow I didn’t catch that🤣🤣🤣
no, Kendrick said himself that Sherane did not burn him. he got burned because she ended up getting him pressed out. 😊

Wow that’s a compliment I’ve never gotten & really appreciate🙏🏼thank you😊
The song the sister is referring to in Sing About Me is Keisha's Song from his album Section 80
Always listen to the album not the music videos missed some important moments that tie things together but good reaction
I ain’t ever Hurd a kendrick track til now thankx!!!
The lyrics go from braggadocio to intellectually humble as the album progresses. It’s beautifully structured.
React to DAMN next since you’ve already done TPAB and GKMC. Only right you do to get his full artistry.
When you can. Start with section.80 and go up. Its all connected.
9:38 LMAO wen someone finds abt Kendrick’s different voices… a whole different person 😭
I was so confused🤣🤣
your reactions are so great, please keep doing them lol

The Art of Peer Pressure >>>
Yeah, maybe you shouldn’t have watched the videos to LISTEN to the album hahaha
Yeah watching the music videos is not listening to an album but hey.
I literally said in the video that I made that mistake, but hey.
@@journeymariereacts got it! 😂😂😂

Why didn't you put your hands up for the intro of poetic justice 🤔
