The DUDE you're right. I used to take my bike to practice everyday that I didn't ride my own track and I always put the front tire on drivers side because of blind spot
If you start it you can ride it up the ramp. Even if you are nervous, you can walk along side with the motor running to power the bike up the ramp. Just use a tie down strap from your ramp to the truck.
I put my bike on a diagonal also with the straps in the same place as you. I noticed that it barely puts pressure on the forks. The harder you crank down the more it squats the rear end like you can see in your video. Plus with the bike sandwiched in like that you don't have to crank down on the straps too hard. Great video as always!!
Personally I like to ride it up. But if you don't want to do that and you are parked on an uphill use your ramp and stand method but start the motor and slip the clutch as you go up.
Pro tip- if you load the bike with the front tire in the driver's side corner your blind spot won't be blocked when you look to the right to change lanes. 👍🏻
Always use a line to attach the bike to the truck, most ramps come with the safety line. Also just ride it up...never fails unless you are new to riding. Plus a larger folding ramp makes life easier to.
I used to just ride it up before i got a enduro , just slip the clutch alot keep it underpower and you wont take out the truck cab window. No Problem. :)
I have a harbor freight tri fold aluminum ramp that was $89 and I love it. I usually ride the bikes up and walk them down in gear, using the clutch as a brake. So much easier!
True, was at a sandy track once and when i got home all the fronk oil was on the floor of the trailer. its not like you take off the dust seals to clean them off before u strap your bike on the trailer to go home when your tired af :P btw i run a Suzuki Rmz 250 2016 Great bike :)
Hey bud, totally off subject for this vid but I was just curious as to what you're thoughts on running race gas vs pump gas on 2 strokes like 250's. I just picked up a 2015 KTM 250 xc and my cusin just got a 15 250 sx...the manual for my bike calls for 95 octane, the previous owner was running 110 race gas. Just asking cause alot of my cusin's friends keep telling him to run race gas or 50/50 mix.
personally I think race gas is waste of money for weekend warriors like most of us. I would rather spend the money somewhere else. It doesnt do much good on stock engine in my opinion, if you modify your head and engine to get higher compression then running race gas makes sense. Stock 250 2 stroke has plenty of power unless you are class A rider and have some serious ambitions in racing. I run pump gas on all my bikes, try to stick with good brands not some corner 'USA gasoline" gas station. Thats the way I see it..
killerkork like dude said unless your a pro or a racing then your fine with pump gas no sense in spending huge money on it unless your racing and want every bit or horsepower
Thanks for the quick reply !! That's about exactly what I was telling him...he and his friends are young and at that age where they think they know everything lol. We're definitely just weekend wariors with stock engines, not at a compition race level where every little bit matters.
+Gianluca Carafa I think it's good option, it would be great for MX riding, these small displacement 2 strokes like to be on the pipe all the time, they are much better for MX riding. If you want to ride trails maybe look for 4 stroke instead.
Dirt N Iron I know I just found out after one vid you posted that you’re not lol. I have never owned a dirt bike. Now I own a TTR 125 4 stroke. If you ever have some time to post a video on how to ride a dirt bike for the first time. From start to finish. How to warm up bike. How to switch gears and when. And all that good stuff. That would be very helpful :)
i was thinking about riding videos, let me see what I can do. Maybe once the build is over. thanks for suggestion and good luck with your ttr, great learner bike
Wouldn't it just be easier to ride the bike up the ramp that's what I did when I had my crf150rb and yes all of you guys are right put the front tier in the driver side corner
Yeah I could have guessed another really helpful straight to the point video. I've had tons of crap going on so I haven't watched your latest videos. It's time to now though. Great video.
I bought a motorcycle carrier that slides into my reciever hitch on a whim. I purchased a barn find 84 xr500 in Pennsylvania and needed to get it home... only paid $75 for it so why not ? ill try it...After 35 yrs of riding bikes I will NEVER put my motorcycles in a truck bed again... its just too dang easy and convenient with a carrier..
if u bleed ur forks like ur supposed to u shouldn't have a problem with blowing seals and how tight are u guys strapping Jesus ur tying down a bike not a semi
I have never blown a seal I also wonder what people are doing to blow them...LOL The bike is in the truck bed, it isn't going anywhere you tight enough is good enough.
+MD 63 fair enough. I can take some criticism. Have to admit, your comment was funny :) just so you know I am not very happy that this is most viewed video on my channel. I made it after I was asked at the track to help load a bike, the guy was my size and had a ramp yet he wasn't able to load it alone. So I thought there are some guys out there who need little help. There is also plenty of loading fails videos.. so I thought it can help..
Well to be fair you are being serious and just trying to help people which is admirable but you have to admit as an experienced rider,,,you would think that an individual that has made the decision to get involved in something as potentially risky as riding dirt bikes they would be minimally competent enough to be able to put the damn thing in a truck.
+MD 63 lol, you made me laugh :) You are right, but I kinda like to help guys out, you would be surprised what kind of questions are beginners asking sometimes. I try to mix it up on the channel, but I admit some videos are not suitable for experienced riders. I try to include word "beginners" every time I upload video like that. Thanks for your feedback and honesty, usually people just hit dislike, it's helping me to know what is it they don't like.
Hey man! I have some issues with my bike. Can you please help me a little bit? How can i contact you?. And by the way again a really cool and helpful video! Keep up the good work!
good video but would like to see how how to unload just for the sake of it.... although I guess its obvious just do the reverse of loading, but I would like to see it too.
You did not secure your ramp to the truck with a tie-down strap (or two). Without a security strap, the ramp can slip off and you'll have a bad start to your day.
put the front wheel on the drivers side so that you dont have a blind spot when changing lanes.
.
thanks dude, good tip!
That's what I do, front wheel to drivers side.
The DUDE you're right. I used to take my bike to practice everyday that I didn't ride my own track and I always put the front tire on drivers side because of blind spot
also strap to the frame, not the handle bars. saves your fork seals
Caleb Bergmann or spend the 15 dollars on a fork support
If you start it you can ride it up the ramp. Even if you are nervous, you can walk along side with the motor running to power the bike up the ramp. Just use a tie down strap from your ramp to the truck.
Nice work on the video. Good job brother!
Thanks Kyle, appreciate your comment! ;)
Dirt N Iron love both your guys channels!!
thanks Mark!
Wow dirtbike channel watches your videos really cool.
I've seen a ramp shoot out before, I always put a ratchet strap on the ramp to the truck.
Always good to make it even safer. Thanks for sharing
+mestandard thanks bro, appreciate your feedback!
Easy loading,quik idea,less effort!thanks man!
you got it man! i am glad it helps
Personally I like to ride it up. But if you don't want to do that and you are parked on an uphill use your ramp and stand method but start the motor and slip the clutch as you go up.
yea, thats the way to do it as well. thanks for sharing
perfect, now i have to buy a truck, and a dirt bike
;)
Pro tip- if you load the bike with the front tire in the driver's side corner your blind spot won't be blocked when you look to the right to change lanes. 👍🏻
Always use a line to attach the bike to the truck, most ramps come with the safety line. Also just ride it up...never fails unless you are new to riding. Plus a larger folding ramp makes life easier to.
thanks, good tip!
yeahhhhh, Im not new to riding, but im way too afraid to just ride it up. Seen too many fail vids haha.
Brilliant, thankyou! I have a new hilux coming in a few weeks and wasn't sure whether the bike would fit in or how i would get it in...now i know!
Glad I could help!
That moment when you try doing what's on the video and end up missing the stepping stool and face planting right into the truck. Fuck my life
+Exposing Channels hope you are ok man
Dirt N Iron
Just a bloody forehead
Reasons why I don't like the stool method. They can slide or tip too easily
Thats why you wear a helmet
Ride it in.
I usually stoppie my way up the ramp while chuggin a beer.
I usually but the straps on each peg. I don't like to put to much pressure on my forks. holds just fine no movement.
Thanks for sharing Eric, that's a good tip.
Dirt N Iron welcome, keep up the great videos!
I do the same
Fork savers are a good option as well.
just twist the screw on top to relive the presure
I watched two videos and I love your channel all ready! Keep it upXD
thanks dude, I will!
U need fork saver to, one save seals from over tightening and two stop the bike coming loose over big bumps
+Viral Clown I will check that out, lot of guys saying good stuff about it. Thanks man
Cut a 2x4 to length and put it inbetween your front tire and fender, helps save your fork seals
thanks for suggestion
I used to just ride it up before i got a enduro , just slip the clutch alot keep it underpower and you wont take out the truck cab window. No Problem. :)
yea thats one of the ways..
I always ride mine in lol
So helpful. Thank you for just getting to the point.
0:07 I like this method though hehe. Nice vid man.
Thanks Alca! :)
That's a nice $30 harbor freight stand. I have one myself
+Mark W this one is aluminum, but I have harbor freight one as well
hey try it like you have it but go from footpeg to the hooks on your truck I know someone who popped there suspension from strapping the forks down
thanks for sharing Jake!
Dirt N Iron no problem just trying to save fellow riders from an expensive repair keep riding love the vids!
Love your videos! To the point and always very informative with a positive attitude. Thanks for this one
thanks Cameron!
Great video man! Keep doing what your doing
+LaZe apocalyptic thanks bro!
Not sure if you will get this as the video is an older one but where did you get those straps ? Or what straps are they ?
works connection has a great straps, thats all I use these days
Harbor freight has wide tri fold ramps you can walk up for $100. As long as your truck isn't too tall it's still very easy.
that would be even better
Great video, thanks for the advise, where's the best place to get those straps?
I like your slogan at the end dude.
thanks Gladius, i am glad you like it!
super awsome vlog! good pointers.
thanks brother!
I recommend a safety strap on your ramp.
I don't own a pickup truck or a dirt bike but still I like it.
;)
Buy ramps in pairs; walk up the second ramp!!!
+eugor12345 yea, that's good way too, get wide folding ramp so you can walk the bike up
That’s more expensive but easier and safer
I just ride my bike up my ramp
I have a harbor freight tri fold aluminum ramp that was $89 and I love it. I usually ride the bikes up and walk them down in gear, using the clutch as a brake. So much easier!
.08 Alec lil clip was funny no cap the struggle
What do you think about a fork support for when your strapping the bike down is it necessary or not?
i think it doesnt hurt to have it, I am considering it myself
True, was at a sandy track once and when i got home all the fronk oil was on the floor of the trailer.
its not like you take off the dust seals to clean them off before u strap your bike on the trailer to go home when your tired af :P btw i run a Suzuki Rmz 250 2016 Great bike :)

I have to walk mine up. It’s brutal. If I get a running start, the rap slides up the tailgate or folds on itself
Nice one bro, thanks!
Thanks Koray, glad it helps 👍
I have to use the old man method........I use my camper steps on one side, the ramp on the other and drive it up. You'll get there sooner or later. :)
+Upside Down thanks for sharing sir! :)
Can u help me choose what dirtbike I should get cuz Im a beginner Im bout 5'4 and Im thinking of gettin a 4 stroke but idk what kind
+BeastKillers GOD how old are you
Dirt N Iron 13
+BeastKillers GOD check out Yamaha ttr 125, good 4 stroke bike with electric start, clutch, 4 gears. Very good beginners bike and also very reliable
Dirt N Iron I need like a cheap that I can go in the road with
thank you...great advice!
Glad it was helpful!
could you please do a video on valve checks and adjustments
+Andrew Cavada I will put it on the list. Thanks for suggestion.
thank you so much!
Is a two stroke good to learn how to ride? Or is a 4 stroke better
+Kevin Kumor 4 stroke is better but 2 stroke is also ok.
Dirt N Iron this is un related but is a KTM 85sx a good bike for me I'm 13 about 45kg and 4'9
+Gianluca Carafa I think it's good option, it would be great for MX riding, these small displacement 2 strokes like to be on the pipe all the time, they are much better for MX riding. If you want to ride trails maybe look for 4 stroke instead.
Get a Honda CRF 150r Big wheel, they're way better. You should look into those
Dirt N Iron thanks i was have been looking at that bike for i while and wasn't sure if it would be good and yeah I'm using it for mx. Thanks
Great video. Those straps are awesome.
thanks Petry
What kind of straps are those
Thank you for the awesome videos. They are so helpful. You keep me motovated!!! Keep on posting new vids :) Spasiba.
you are welcome bro! I am not russian btw ;)
Dirt N Iron I know I just found out after one vid you posted that you’re not lol. I have never owned a dirt bike. Now I own a TTR 125 4 stroke. Those straps look dope, what are they / where they from ?!
"KTM soft strap" google it
Dirt N Iron dope !!! Thx.
Wouldn't it just be easier to ride the bike up the ramp that's what I did when I had my crf150rb and yes all of you guys are right put the front tier in the driver side corner
yes its easier, but not very beginner friendly.. there is plenty of fails videos on youtube doing that..
lmao omg you made that look so easy and smooth XD
What motorbike is that?
Yeah I could have guessed another really helpful straight to the point video. I've had tons of crap going on so I haven't watched your latest videos. It's time to now though. Great video.
I missed you bro! Welcome back ;)
Dirt N Iron yeah dude great vid this got a lot of views fast.
Gotta love the jorts
haha, I guess I need to move up in the size, not a 32 anymore..
Nice video. Thanks.
thanks man!
Great technique..
+arvincheech thanks!
nice video man, hilarious thumbnail lol
Thanks Nathan ;)
I just it up. Big 650s too.
I love the step idea.
what is trucck brand please?
GMC Sierra
Is putting the kickstand down a bad thing to do
I think no big deal, but not necessary
great video keep them going!
thanks man!
Hi, whats your pickup truck?
GMC sierra 1500
Super helpful, thanks for sharing!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Like always, nice video :)
thanks man!
Helpful, thank you!
cool, glad it helps!
What kind of straps are those?
KTM PowerParts Soft Tie-Downs with Clips
I bought a motorcycle carrier that slides into my reciever hitch on a whim. i am considering to get one as well
We’re did you get those strapes
came with the bike, you can get them online
I just ride it in
if u bleed ur forks like ur supposed to u shouldn't have a problem with blowing seals and how tight are u guys strapping Jesus ur tying down a bike not a semi
Matt Smith you can also get a fork saver. I have one and they work excellent, on my dirt bike when it's strapped down!
I have never blown a seal I also wonder what people are doing to blow them...LOL The bike is in the truck bed, it isn't going anywhere you tight enough is good enough.
Wow! Excellent vid! Please do one on how to chew gum for beginners or maybe how to breathe. No No wait!...do one on how to blink for beginners.
+MD 63 you are apparently too advanced for this video, I am sorry for the time you wasted. Why did you even watch it?
to make fun of it in the comments,
+MD 63 fair enough. I can take some criticism. Have to admit, your comment was funny :) just so you know I am not very happy that this is most viewed video on my channel. WOW that was easy
Ya it is, it's going to the track
I see you ride at cahuilla often we should meet up and ride sometime
+Ben Pike yea, let's do it sometime. Get in touch with me on FB
How's that unload look?
pretty much the same, use stand as a step, plan where you put your feet and you should be fine, dont forget to cover front brake and slow her down..
Great video!
thanks Michael!
Hey man! I have some issues with my bike. Can you please help me a little bit? How can i contact you?. And by the way again a really cool and helpful video! Keep up the good work!
+StormBGN go on FB and pm me. Link is in description
good video but would like to see how how to unload just for the sake of it.... although I guess its obvious just do the reverse of loading, but I would like to see it too.
yea, that would be good to show.. its pretty much the reverse just as you said..
Good stuff!
thanks brother!
Easiest thing I’ve ever seen
link for the ramps? why not
My truck is too big/tall. The ramp is basically vertical so I gotta ride the bike all the way into the truck.
You know its legit when he shakes it at the end and says "bike is going nowhere"
exactly ;)
What about a shock saver, you'll end up stuffing your shocks
i am considering it
Fork savers?
yes, it would not be bad idea
is 5.5ft bed even considered a truck anymore?
barely ;)
How can I get a stay moto vated t shirt?
I think I will make them available in near future. I want to make better design though, this is just prototype ;) thanks for the interest bro
Dirt N Iron ok please keep us posted he idea is pretty cool
Not a bad idea to strap the ramp to the ute either.
yes, sounds like a good idea..
❤️
Make sure your 6'3 as well
i am 5'11 .. i guess 6'3 dont even need a step ..
jean shorts!
You did not secure your ramp to the truck with a tie-down strap (or two). Without a security strap, the ramp can slip off and you'll have a bad start to your day.
like your motorbike
Thanks Thomas
Cheers bro
+Kaikoura72 cheers!
Remember, don't over tighten your straps. I've gone through a lot of fork seals on a lot of bikes..
thanks for sharing bro, good tip!
Dirt N Iron in Germany we put a board between tire and the clamp of the forks so that the pressure is not on the forks
+Anton Glonner interesting idea
AkaComeau Just buy a suspension saver, lol. Maybe like $10usd
does the ramp fit too ?lol.
Step 1: always park you two back wheels in a ditch to reduce effort needed.
yes, thats good idea
Good vid
thanks!
Anyone else expecting him to do a back flip and land in the truck or something or what it just me 😂
Haha that's a good one
I ride mine into the back of my truck and keep it straight
how long is your bed, can you close the tail gate ?
You’re like crazyrussianhacker but for dirt bikes
;)
thx info
