Pro Tem Speaker | BJP MP Bhartruhari Mahtab Appointed Pro Tem Speaker

Bhartruhari Mahtab, the BJP's key leader from Odisha said to be in the running for the Speaker's post, has been appointed Pro Tem Speaker by President Droupadi Murmu. The post traditionally goes to the seniormost member of parliament, who later administers oath to the Prime Minister's Council of ministers and other MPs.

Disregarding parliamentary traditions and appointing Mr Mahtab is an endorsement of dynastic politics. Suresh is certainly more qualified and eligible for this role. Only drawback is he doesn’t have any relatives in politics

He is not pro tem speaker, he is a Khandayat, a warrior clan who used to rule the world
