The work done in those days laid the seeds for any development we will see in the near future. The India Shining Campaign created a loss for him. In various excerpts I have read of his and Advanis discussion, one fervent wish he held was that BJP should come to power on it's own, no coalition. Atleast that wish was fulfilled in 2014 and reaffirmed in 2019 and I dare say will repeat in 2024.
