As much as I love both the Uncharted games and the Tomb Raiders games and both the Nathan Drake and Lara Croft characters both of these characters and their franchises wouldn't exist without Indiana Jones he paved the way for both of them and his movies are more inconic than both the Uncharted and Tomb Raider games and damn sure more iconic than their movie adaptations.

But that's isn't weather or not Indiana Jones paved the way. It's WHO is the best treasure hunter. And honestly Nathan Drake takes it. He found El Dorado, Shamballa, Iram of the Pillars, And Avery's treasure. Also survived things that no other human has ever survived. Crazy stunts! Drake is just the greatest

I personally like all three of them and I have a certain head canon idea that both Nathan Drake and Laura Croft were once college students of Indiana Jones for a short amount of time before they became their own legends. Also I had no idea indie s middle name was Walton .
What kinda sucks about the Lara croft first game of the trilogy is it feels like one fight scene to the next fight scene to the point that it almost numbs the mind without much enfecese on the actual treasure.
I love all of these mediums, but my personal favorite will always be Tomb Raider, the survivor trilogy is what introduced me to that genra of gaming and I will always have a place in my heart for those games.

Indiana Jones, no doubt. He’s my 2nd favorite character in the history of cinema. Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade will ALWAYS be my favorite adventure movie, and is my 2nd favorite movie of all time. Raiders of The Lost ark has the best opening to any movie ever, and unsurprisingly is my 4th favorite movie ever. My only gripe with the movies is the romance, I don’t really like it as it’s unnecessary and forced. And Lego Indiana Jones is absolutely one of the best games ever
I totally agree with you about The Last Crusade. Its my favourite Indy movie hands down, was my first Indiana Jones movie as a kid, and I think what's brilliant about it is that it serves as a perfectly self-contained, accessible entry point into the saga. The movie doesn't assume you know anything at all about Indy going into it - it introduces viewers to young Henry Jr. and how he learns the ropes of treasure hunting, establishes his tense relationship with his father, and then flashes forward to the modern day for the bulk of the adventure. It also manages a very touching buddy act between Indy and Henry Sr., making their relationship the heart and soul of the movie. And then there's the soundtrack! Don't get me wrong - tracks like "The Map Room: Dawn" and "The Warehouse" from Raiders are iconic, but for me I will always get chills anytime I hear "The Penitent Man Will Pass." Great video!

I know she's more of a thief but I would put Carmen Sandiego in the running just to make it even more interesting. Although Uncharted;s 4th game is titiled "A Thief's End" so. I like all of these characters ad its usually a conversation between all four.
If you want to see a good match up between the characters you can't go wrong with this fan film shot on location. And yes there is a sequel where they work together

As a longtime Indiana Jones and TR fan (I grew up with the TR games) I have to say that Uncharted 4 beats all of the TR games and Indiana Jones movies for me. It's just such a well-rounded game with great characters, great story, amazing atmosphere, beautiful graphics and a really fun setting (I mean, a hunt for pirate treasures? hell yeah). Overall the TR franchise and Lara Croft (especially Lara Croft from the PS1 era) have a bigger place in my heart, but Uncharted 4 is close to a perfect game for me that I'll gladly choose over any Indiana Jones movie or TR game. I'd say Rise of the Tomb Raider is a very close second, at least in terms of story and setting. When I just want that sense of adventure I'm more likely to go for The Last Crusade, Raiders of the Lost Ark or the PS1 TR games.

Definitely Laura by a lore standpoint. It’s just because she deals with more supernatural forces. Indiana Jones and Nate really don’t.
The ark of the covenant seems pretty super natural to me… and the stones… and the holy grail… and the crystal skull… and the dial of destiny.
