Transferring google photos to iCloud is a daunting task for some as it's not so easy. I Personally struggled with transferring google photos to iCloud Photos from iCloud web. iCloud web displays an error saying "Only files in jpeg format can be uploaded" when you try to upload images in media format any other than jpg. So, you'll need to convert any other format images to jpg first.

How do you transfer them but keep the original dates and info?

I tried every possible way to keep the meta data, but failed. Even .jpg image’s meta data gets changed on upload to iCloud.

I didn’t find any way to keep the chronological order but, I found a way to convert png or any other file format to jpg in bulk. I made a video about it. Check it out.

I transferred from Icloud to Google Photos, Google Photos messed up all my photos, I want to go back to iCloud, I've already contacted them, if they don't solve the problem they caused me I'll sue Google

Yeah tried this as well. Takeout separates the meta data. How is this legal? Google blocks every avenue to chose a different service

You will lose the metadata that way.

I didn’t find any other way to do this. This way or that way, you lose the metadata. The only option is upload photos to iCloud from your iPhone I guess.

@@lastminutetech how do you upload them from your iPhone? What if I can only use a my phone to transfer photos. I have more space available in my iCloud, so I want to have everything there instead of in my Google account so that I don’t have to buy more space.

There is only one problem making the conversion the photos lose their data, such as date of creation and origin. Is there any way this doesn't happen?
