Thank you so much for this informative video. I am very new to fermented foods. Could you please share what other foods you would eat alongside the sauerkraut and also where is the best place to store it as it is fermenting?
Hey! I happen to use the TM6 and tried the one of the stock sauerkraut recipes. It calls for putting the filled jars for 12h @ 70° in fermentation mode and then 48h ready. Why is this the only recipe I've seen that 1. is so short 2. uses heat at the beginning 3. have you tried this recipe? I'm here 72 hrs later and tried one of the jars, it was gassy and smelly which is expected. The flavour is nothing compared to store bought ready-made products.
Hi Franco. I would suggest that it needs a longer ferment to make more like storebought. Also check if there are extra ingredients in your favourite jar as often they have ginger or caraway seeds in it too.

Hi Kristy. I don't know why I didn't get notification on your comment. We ea it along with salads, or bacon & eggs, but it can go with anything.
You mentioned that you have it for breakfast. Do you eat it on its own, or what do you eat with it?
We eat it with our bacon and eggs :) You can put it on a sandwich as well if you would like.
Where did you get the lid for your jar from??
It came with the jar and was from kitchen warehouse
Does your souerkraut taste salty or sour? I have not been able to perfect the sour taste yet. Maybe this machine is my answer!
It's tangy when done. If it's still salty then it needs to sit out and ferment longer :) Let me know how you go.
