Thanks for the preliminary comments. It's been years since that horrific event. Now, these days, I'm very much concerned about an electromechanical (analog) meter test that just does not seem to be fair and honest, for a lot of consumers. The test my meter underwent took all of four (4) minutes and it was done in a utility provider's lab. However, I read research from overseas suggesting that electromechanical meters could very well over-report consumer usage, so too could some digital meters. What's really needed, this research suggests, is a lab test that considers (or simulates) the actual environment where the meter is (was) being used. Other factors (such as electric devices being used in the consumer's house or apartment) could influence the accuracy of the consumer's meter, if the test occurs in the lab. What, my good friend, would be an honest lab test of a consumer's analog meter? Would love to see your response! May Dear Lord Jesus be with ALL of us during these challenging times!
