Been waiting for their stronger intensity one to come out. This implementation seems great. Thanks for the comparisons!

This was fantastic. I am putting together a combination of Tiffen diffusers and a VND set from Nisi, and this helped me make up the final composition of that purchase.
The comparison you did with the promist filters as well was something I NEEDED to see, and helped me save money! (Didn't end up getting the Nisi with the mist because the tiffen does a better job for what I need!).
    Thank you!

How are you stacking those filters? Pro Mist first and then the Nisi VND on top? Kind regards!

Seems like a nice system. No longer struggling with two filters being stuck together! But must say that im very happy to have built in NDs in my Sony FS7. No worries with colorshifts and screwing anything in front of the lens (and getting internal flaring/reflections) 😅

Not gonna lie, not sure how i feel about those blacks. They seem really deep can’t tell if that’s your lut?

I’m on my phone so not a great screen to fully analyze, but they do seem super deep. Would be curious to see raw footage before grading.

ND filters can't *increase* contrast, it's just his grading.

What about Freewell 77mm Versatile Magnetic Variable ND (VND) Filter System ? can you please to an honest review on those ?

I really wish they had the 1/8 black mist swift system filter. 1/4 is a bit too harsh for me.

The only nd filters i've used that are truly neutral and also fix IR pollution without adding green in the blacks are Formatt Hitech Firecrest Full Spectrum single NDs.

Was hoping to see examples with the Komodo, as the Swift system has a standalone IR filter which you can add on - I'm hoping that will make this a good candidate for the komodo :) thanks for the video

    Hi Sir,
Is the attachment mechanism based on magnets-magnetism or is it just based on pressure?
Thanks (again) for the cool and informative video!

Thanks for the video. It would be nice to see how much flare and reflections are affected by using this stacked 4-stops darker filter over the VND 1-5. Also, do they have hard stops at the beginning and ending of the range to avoid the crossing effect? Many thanks!

I wonder if a ND to slow shutter and create a less detailed image when panning would result in less compression artifacts in my 4k footage when editing?

Looks very promising! I used to own the Polar pro ones but had too many blue flare issues, or blue glare issues outside. How do the NiSi’s flare?

I was looking into purchasing the Nisi Swift VND Kit 1-9 Stops! I see the 1-5 one on BH Photo and Adorama where you can buy the 1-5 Stops but I can't seem to find where you can buy the +4 Stops and other black mist and adapter rings to complete the set. Anyone know how I can purchase these?

But, can I add the ND 64 6 stop + cpl filter on the black mist, both by nisi, on the lens, if the lens is 77mm, and the filters are 77mm, so everything has the same size, do I need something to fix the filters on the lens or can I simply put one on the lens and the second one streight on the first filter? hope you understood.
then, Thank you for explaning I really appreciated! ☺ I have a question for you, thank you in advance for answring... I would like to use the lens Sony 24-105mm on my Sony A7IV, then I would like to apply a Nisi Black Mist on it, and on the black mist I’d like to put the ND64 6stops + CPL integrated filter by Nisi. Will I make a mess of my photos and videos? Would this be a bad choice to make? Is the 24-105mm G really less sharp, bidimensional, sad looking and not good in night, low light or indoors situations? Cause my intention is to get a tridimensional, cinematic looking on my photos and videos.

🤣I have that same Tiffen soft filter pouch and it looks just as beat up as yours. It's served me well over the years, but time to upgrade. Nice comparison!

Would the stacking friction get weaker in cold temperatures with the metal shrinking? It honestly doesn't seem to secure to me if it's just friction grip...

Hey Great Content ! I am just a bit lost, I have a 55mm diam, would you recommend to always get 77mm size and use step up ring or is the gap too much for the NISI ND ?
    Thanks!

    • @rivvidproductions
      @rivvidproductions Год назад

It depends on what the diameter of your biggest lens is. My current largest lens is a 67mm, while my smallest is a 46mm. So I have a 67mm Moment VND and a 46-67 step up ring and have no issues with the gap at all.

    • @lch7145

@@rivvidproductions thanks ! I actually bought it and you are right, I have 55 up to 72 and there is barely a vignette, only when going to 18mm I do have some vignette, but find it actually nice and visually appealing, going to 24mm I have nothing anymore
