You can get a keyfob off Amazon and program it to the vehicle yourself, just cycle the key from off to run 8 times and the 8th time leave it in the run position and your door locks will cycle. Then press any button on the keyfob to pair with the car

Oh man I am in love with this one!!! I plan to keep it. Drove it almost 200 miles over the past 2 days.
Really Really important to buy the factory coils, injectors, injectors, wires, and plugs. I know they will be more expensive, but I have a 2005 F250 Super Duty and bought two aftermarket injectors. I could never get those things to seat, even when they looked fully seated. I purchased the Motorcraft parts, and that problem went away. Same for the Motor Engine Oil filter and the fuel filter. Owning this F250 is the only time I have constantly used OEM parts. The tip to use OEM parts came from a highly respected Ford Mechanic, I really trusted the man. My truck runs like a top, just breaking it in, 110,000 miles.

I think you got a great deal on the F150. You can’t find those Harley Davidson trucks anywhere. I think I’ve only seen 2 of them in the past 3 years. I don’t care that it has a rebuilt title or that it has 200K on it. You did great

To program the key fob cycle the key in the ignition 9 times until you hear the door locks cycle then press any button on the key fob and you’ll hear the door locks cycle again confirming you’ve programmed the fob. Turn the ignition off and you’re done. This works on all Fords 94-10 that use the older square key fob.

If you sink too much money into this truck, somehow, then this should be the new parts hauler you've been talking about. If not, sell it!
I like that CReader 6001, I paid slightly more for a used Innova 3030 some years back. Way better screen and GUI on the one you have. While I wouldn't ask Mike to use this on the HD F150 is I were you, a good way to save costs with work/farm trucks is to buy a gallon of Rust-oleum in black or white from Walmart, a quart is less than $10 or a gallon (~4x the price) and reduces with regular paint thinner. Cures slow, but the body will look new. Two-stage is optional, check for compatibility to avoid lifting issues. I doubt that truck, running that good, has ever sold so low. I'm a little green with envy!

Use transmission assembly line for the injector orings. Regular oil or grease is petroleum base and will swell the rubber and tear them.

If you have a starting problem with the key move the tilt on your steering column also check all clearance and brake lights too (possible short in column wiring harness mainly ground)!🤔😉 found out that by luck ourselves.

Randy I got an 01 f150 with 275,000 on it. I have some aftermarket coils. Normally only one or two ever go bad. The passenger back left coil under the AC line is the one that tends to go bad.

I Dont See How You Can Go Wrong With A Running, Driving & Stopping HD F150 For $1,100!! And The Stereo Works!! No Brainer!!
Here in whicita ks we have a place called knipps they have stuff called eraser. It's an acid for chrome and factory rims. You just spray it on leave it for 30 seconds and spray it off. No polishing or scrubbing they will look brand new it even removes rust. they have a bunch of other products but I love the wheel acid. I used to spend an hour per rim on my 24s now I can make my truck look new in under an hour with power washer on caked on wheels.

I got an O1 Expedition thats a real cream puff it has only 82k hwy miles. I has poor power at take off and shifts rough. I just had coils and plugs changed going to change out all 4 O2 sensors and the transmission shift solenoids. I hope this sorts everything out. NICE ONE YOU GOT TOO

Okay let the list begin since I own a 97 Ford F150 5.4 4 wheel drive quad cab things to look for rear glass seal leaking that's the reason why the back seats are wet third brake light seal exhaust manifold both sides will need replaced also check the rear frame by where the spare tire is kept and the shocks are together commonly rust out in these places just did a full back frame replacement online a year ago also check radiator support mounts or rusted-out course

The flickering odometer is usually a cold solder joint on the back of the cluster. I have a 99 F150 that I repaired the odometer on, easy fix.
Good buy, not all f150 are worth saving but the Harley trucks are imho. Hope you hang on to it as the Harley package will be desirable if they aren't already.

All f-150s are worth saving dont be confused with GM junk that so many struggled with to keep them on the road they never learn and keep wrenching and watch the rust eat oh that's the good part less sheet metal makes them lighter

I don't think there's problem with the tach. I think the needle is hanging up on the white overlay. My 02 supercrew did the same thing after I put the white gauges on it.

You can do a scuff and paint with 2000 grit and clear then speed drill with McGuire’s with an polish pad
You should get a power washer. It helps chip off that peeling clear coat.

Well, it's a bit tired and it might take a chunk of work to make it as nice as John's but it looks like it has good bones and could make a decent, cheap project Harley-Davidson F150 for someone with the skills and time/money to put into it to make it something really nice. John could end up with some competition from that one, and I suspect being just an extended cab with the stepside body it's probably a fair amount lighter than John's double cab with steel body...

I have never yet seen a triton engine without the service engine soon light on. That includes mine when I bought it. Was just a bad coil and plug. You can get good deals on these trucks cause people are scared of them.

Nice buy and hopefully a keeper? Buy a cheap harbor freight spray gun and a quart of single stage black paint and sand/spray the bare paint spots, it will look a heck of a lot better and worht the little bit of effort.
Randy I'm not going to lie to you I'm not much up on Fords but a Harley Davidson F-150 that even runs & drives any is worth $1,185 so therefore you did not do bad you came out good so there you have my opinion on it
