He doesn't regenerate from the metal. It was explained in a novel about Wolverine and his weapon x time. It's the DNA rich bone marrow that is protected by the adamantium. When they were trying to bond the adamantium to Wolverine they were struggling with the bone marrow issue- that's what creates new blood and protects the bodies ability to heal. ( in everyone) They ended up making small holes or rather casting small catheters in every bone which connects his bone marrow to the rest of the body...not connecting as in holding together but as a way for materials like new blood cells to move through. This was the idea though not explained when we see his skeleton in the bacta tank by forge in the old cartoon days of future past episodes. My uncle worked for marvel and said that this had almost always been the deal but seemed too technical to explain at the time.
That's pretty dope actually, could've explained it like the metal fused and replaced his bones but left the holes for blood to be let out
Adamantiun being somewhat porous?
That's actually a cool concept cause I used to wonder about the nitty gritty like that would work. Some of it is just threw in the wind with comic logic but it felt like gaps were still there l.
@riveradrew2153 no.that was the issue they had to find a work around for. The bonding process was completely impervious even for nano particles. So before the bonding process they started by drilling holes into every bone and most had several. They then used some sort of catheter which would provide a path through the metal between bone and tissue. Since his bone marrow is where his healing factor ( and yours) resides they knew it would kill him if they simply coated his bones. Funny fact the reason why the first x-ray we see of Wolverine and the script both say and show grafts rather than coating because the movie people knew the bone marrow thing but not that it was already addressed by marvel in the way I mentioned.
@MrGanjie it was a very in depth book as well as entertaining. Well written.
Ok so it wasn't just me, I've been calling the Alien Queen a Disney Princess for years because in my opinion the crossovers are inevitable.
Nothing Disney does with Marvel or Star Wars is canon. Predator now too
Disney owns marvel 😮💨
@@chiquita683 Whatever helps you sleep at night.....I'll be watching the new Prey and Alien sequels and Star Wars Visions.
Still waiting for the Guardians/Star Wars crossover JUST so we can finally witness a conversation between Chewie and Groot XD
Good one
So one of the most iconic looks for Wolverine ever, Weapon X Logan, was him cosplaying as a Predator all along. That's rad.
No, just dumb
Lol. Wolverine came out a couple of decades before predator did. If anything the predators are pretending to be wolverine
interesting couple weeks we've had...three fights we all expected for certain to go one way only for all of them to go the opposite, we expected logan to kick the predator's a$$, turns out predator's kicked his a$$ lots of times before and even kinda no diffs him(somewhat) this time, we expected thor to show storm she really can't do anything to him despite her omega level status only for her to shock him with lightning which is funny and literally make him bleed, we expected godzilla to get in some hits on supes but for supes to make quick work of him, chapter ends with my boy supes cooked and looking lifeless
@ridgefrost all these things all depends on the situation and the writer. That storm vs thor fight was bs. I love the xmen but c'mon. Thor would smash that woman with ease just by throwing the hammer at her
@@3rdreichball525 yeah ik but at this point thor getting shat on is daily news, no matter how powerful thor gets or how he seems to finally get some respect, there's always going to be a panel showing him jobb big time, and its for the sake of it, it wasn't even necessary, they just wanted ororo to turn into a thor and show she can beat thor I guess, why is that a thing anyone needs to see? I'm pretty sure even storm's fans wouldn't be angry to see her lose to thor I mean it would be like thor fans getting angry that base thor lost to galactus or something, not really a point of contention there, there's a clear power difference
I wish we could get Kraven to meet a Predator, they're so perfect for each other
Yessss I want to read that
Kraven and a predator going 1 v 1 even in one shot would be *amazing*
I can see this!!
It should be a stomp for Kraven.
They would make some hawt babies
The Muramusa sword doesn't shut off Wolverine's power. It negates his healing factor. Meaning that cut will heal at the normal rate of a human. But it will heal. The problem is the sword is sharp, so like a normal person cut by a normal sword, he can bleed out. But he will still have his powers
its basically the same thing dude. His powers arent healing him, thus its effect are negated.
He still wouldn't bleed out though...yeah the cut wouldn't heal and he would bleed continuously, but his body would produce new blood faster then he would die. Eventually the wound would close naturally, or with pressure he could stop the flow of blood himself.
@@Jake-cm9jj negates healing factor
For those who are wondering what the Predators wearing on his face at the end of the video. I believe that was a bear skull.
Cool
Most likely the Bear that was Logan's cave buddy
@@Arvyn992 but i does not understand why young logan let his favorite friend bear be killed so easily when in movies he has such close bond and he is nature friendly and after his death logans has no dissapointment in movie x men the origins:wolverine he as killed all 5 hunters becaus ethey killed his favorite grizzly bear even in comics logan has such a great bond with him i now CALLED IT A BAD WRITING BY WRITERS EVEN INCOMICS HE IS NATURE LOVER ANIMAL FRIENDLY
@@Arvyn992Well this predator actually ended up killing a bear young Logan led him into getting attacked by in the first comic issue. So it's probably that bears skull
I thought it was HIS skull. It would've been ironic for it to be burned off in the explosion considering he did the exact same thing to Logan
I would say Sabretooth is equally a trophy that the Predator would want to have in his collection.
I love the Easter egg they hid at 4:05 with the call signs weather's and Schwartz obviously being references to Carl weather's and arnold
lol the shit that Wolverine goes through. Him and Spider-Man should sit down and have a long talk about all their various traumas
Kind of reminds me of the comic where their minds get swapped lol
So to give some clarification as to why wolverine can regenerate from his adamantium skeleton is because it covers his bones but not entirely as it allows him to have blood and stuff made so theres tiny microscopic holes in the adamantium allowing his bones and such to give the necessary stuff to heal
I was sold at liquifies head. I wasn’t disappointed. Thank you Rob.
Why you are thanking rob? Lol thanks the comics not him also Rob didn't make this comics wtf r u on
@@superpanda3857 you goofy twat he made the video.
@@superpanda3857its not that deep.
@@gotem123 yes it is
@@superpanda3857 Understandable, have a nice day.
In all honesty, I don't see how Predator is suppose to be a real credible threat to Wolverine, especially once he has his Adamantium. If Wolverine can get into a straight brawl with Hulk, WTF is Predator going to fight him? Even the Predator's cloaking tech is, at best, an inconvenience to Wolverine, with the kind of heightened senses he has.
Totally agree
Thats just fanservise and for money comics. Also wolverine is came early.
Same deal as Godzilla fighting Superman, it’s just cool to see.
Same thing with DC and Superman fighting Godzilla. As if darkseid isn’t a much bigger threat than Godzilla and yet Godzilla somehow beats him with atomic breath lol
@@RiceCubeTechthere are broken versions of Godzilla I think there's 1 that killed Zeus and dominated hell
I would love to see a Kraven vs Predator comic just seems like an obvious thing to do
I think the issue is just that Predator dogs Kraven hard
Lol. Predators get beaten by xenopmorphs and normal people like the Little Girl, Yakuza Guy, Murtaugh and Arnold.
@@rolandluckett2399kraven…………wins
@@IStevenSeagalthen imagine a predator that's not a normal predator
@@powahwave8915 You mean like the super predator from the 2018 film? Yeah that guy can be compared to Kraven. But the others would get dog walked on an afternoon by Kraven.
3:32 Those are F-22's not F-16's. The F-16 is a single engine. While the F-22 has dual thrust vectoring engines. The F-16 also only has a single vertical tail fin where the F-22's have two that are angled as seen here.
That annoyed me too. In fairness to Rob, it’s a problem with the comic, as it refers to them as 16’s.
@@drkknight001 Which is weird given that the 22 has a *very* distinct airframe that isn't easily mistaken for others.
Plus F-22s didn't even exist yet back when this story was set.
@drkknight001 no, it just mentions f 16s. Those depicted are f 18s
@@zerrodefexthose are f 18s
Been waiting for this Rob💯
what the heck rob? your just pounding out the bangers bro!!!
This run has been AWESOME. I've bought all 3 so far and cant wait for #4. SO much better than whatever the hell Marvel was doing with Predator in the 2021 storyline.
This is an awesome video, thanks!😊
This is probably the coolest concept I have ever seen
This is random and emo, but I’m turning 40 in a few days and I’ve been watching your channel for probably the last decade… at least 8 years. Anyways, during that time I’ve lived in 4 states as well as on a different continent. I have also buried my father and had two daughters along the way. One of the few constancies in my life has been this channel. That’s probably a sad thing to say, but I appreciate you and want you to know that what you do matters probably more than you realize. When I was in Africa for 10 months, watching your videos made me feel a little closer to home. Take care, and thanks for doing what you do.
I'm here for the "son, son, son!" 😂
You did a great job of representing the source material, you also show good editing skills, demonstrate your respect and enthusiasm for the material through your tone and speech patterns and have overall really good production quality.
Great vid bud. 🦊💜
Wolverine recovering from massive damage that only left his Adamantium skeleton makes complete sense and should have always been lore.
Protected in that skeleton is his bone marrow, so he always has something to regenerate from.
Rob is the Godfather of Comic channels on RUclips.
I have not read this comic but the storyline is asinine if you know the real Wolverine story. He once regenerated from a single strand of DNA (hard to remember but I think it was from a Sentinel attack or maybe it was part of the Dark Phoenix Saga? Been so many years). Predator loses EVERY time eventually. Unless he just hauls butt as runs off the planet and never comes back. Besides, as Logan would say, "I'm the best there is at what I do; but what I do isn't very nice." lol. Love the old memories! Thanks ❤
i think that was an Alan Davis book?
Wolverine has an entire organic skeleton, full of marrow, under the adamantium. It's not unreasonable to think he could regen from that.
Right, plus the bone is not fully closed off. He would be dead if they did fully seal his bones.
DON"T APPLIES LOGIC IN COMICS OR FICTION JUST ENJOY IT
The weapon x project helmet origin is dope!
This is one cliffhanger I wasn't prepared for, damn.
Crazy how they manage to fit these stories together. Takes a lot of creativity.
And of course we haven't heard these stories, they were super Uber duper top secret classified.
Only now getting it from what Wolverine has managed to remember, restoring his broken past.
I appreciate that a well trained Predator would actually take the time to figure out how to properly kill Wolverine, even if it went badly for him.
Would probably make him the most worthy prey. Killing an immortal foe? What type of flex would that not be, although if you end up killing him he’s not immortal….
@@minecrafter101ish I wouldn’t use immortal to describe wolverine, he’s just really hard to kill. However, your point stands
@@Krooksbane Considering he has never died, and always comes back every time he appears to have died, I think immortal would be perfectly appropriate. Of course, you don't *need* to acknowledge metanarrative...
@@mylesleggette7520 TBF there is a way to kill Woverine. Nick Fury once suggested that wolverine could be killed in the vacuum of space because regardless of his head being attached or detached, he can breathe through his skin. Carbonadium has also been proven to negate his healing abilities while his body is exposed to it.
I love your coverage. You explain stuff that most people have no information on. But I have a request. Can we get more DC and Image comics coverage?
He won't cover anything not Marvel or Batman related because then his weaknesses will be exposed
@@jeremiahmorris1852His 'weakness'?
@@MrGanjie he's got a lot of comic knowledge, but not as much as he thinks. Why do you think he only really covers Marvel and Batman mostly?
I waited all day for this! Let’s go!!!
I genuinely love these stories of Wolverine vs predator - really cool story arc. What would put it over the top would be somehow weapon x members reuniting against predator clan.
Obviously not all weapon x but say 3-4 of them linking up would be epic!!!
Predator watching over wolverine like a mad monster hunter scientist is giving me goosepimples
Woohoo!! This genuinely is awesome! I love the predator comics so this is amazing to add wolverine in the mix
Back on the Predater Ship, the lower middle skull with one eye socket reminds me of the villain Spider-man fought on the '67 cartoon from the Fight Dimension
Awesome man.. still upset on how u end the video..lol. 😂
Of course Rob would miss the homages to Carl Weathers and Arnold Schwarzenegger. With the names of the two fighter pilots. Schwartz and Weathers
I love your channel bro
A-freaking-mazing! I love this story
Great video.
I cannot wait for the full video, these 1 once a month videos are killing me.
What a Great story!! I can't believe they brought in the Star Wars universe!! Rancor!!! Thanks Rob
Well, I may have a theoretical explanation. Wolverine, Sabretooth, and Deadpool healing factor are somewhat similar to the Mexican salamander. The Mexican salamander have incredible that not only this specie can regenerate limbs and tail that includes vital organs and parts of central nervous system (CNS), it is a thousand times more resistance to cancer than any mammal on the planet.
So, by having healing factor and longevity, in wolverine and Sabretooth, their body are able to understand every injury on a cellular level and execute to repair or replace on their own accord.
In the case of Deadpool, his factor is rapidly increasing far greater than the cancer can kill him.
A predator X-men crossover movie would be insane if they do it the right way!
These are fun. I've never gotten deeply into comics, not knowing where to start, but these narrations are enjoyable
CliffhangersExplained: always keeping us in suspense lol
Maaaaan this was great. Just got done rewatching all the movies and this popped up. I love Logan, I love me them Yautja too. Sick comic.
That title alone, you know something wild is going to pop off.
I'm loving this crossover event between Wolverine & Predator! 🙏🏽💪
Great video brother Rob, but Is it too late to ask for an Alpha Flight video? 🇨🇦
this was SO COOOOOLLLLL
This is awesome
Wouldn’t the berserker mutant with a healing factor, adamantium being grafted to his skeleton and giant bone claws…. With a bit of a temper….
Be… oh I don’t know… strapped down to the operating table during a process like that??!!
Man this is a geat story line, I wish we could get daily updates 😂
YES! YES! YES! ive been impatiently waiting for this! Also i recognized the Rancor skull IMMEDIATELY. i have a 1 foot tall plastic master-class painted rancor model. My father passed down to me, its at least 30 years old. Sits on a display shelf i pass by everyday.

Yall remember when wolverine use to go into a berserker rage when his health got too low in the x men 2 clone wars game on sega genesis 🔥🔥🔥

Yeah, I've read that Aliens, Predators, Blade runner stuff, and Soldier, that movie with Kurt Russell are all in the same timeline/universe. Soldier kind of prequel to the genetically engineered, replicants we see in Blade Runner. Pretty cool to have Marvel and Star wars attached as well. Crazy stuff, so many bizarre and out of this world ideas come to mind. This was a great three episode breakdown! Thanks!
Poor Wolverine!
I NEED that marvel Star Wars cross over. Darth Vader walking up on Doom would go CRAZY

I never knew that wolverine and muramasa vs a predator was something I needed to see. But I’m excited now
Amazing ! Man let me you something.
"When will we see a marvel/Starwars crossover? Only a matter of time."
To quote Micheal Scott?
"No, no... GOD NO!"
I looooooove this crossover
Awesome awsome loving it so much wolverine vs predator best 😊, now who would make this into movie it will be super awesome
Ha! I remember that one Bat in the Sun Video Wolverine vs. Predator in the jungle fight it was awesome bet this comic took inspiration from that video🤔😏
Man, you just be posting the biggest spoilers of comics I'm about to buy the morning they come out.
I expected the video to begin with Rob exclaiming: son, son let me tell ya'aaalll. Soooon!
His berserker rage is why he's named Wolverine
Will kraven fight predator? Let me know
now that would be an awesome vs
Calling it now, predator wrecks kraven, no contest
@@mrwoo10 kraven might put up a good fight if he puts his research in to it but he can't beat a predator out right he will have to have alot of luck to beat it
Sorry for butting in, but I dont have the option to make a real comment.
@@torquetheprisoner tbh I feel like the comic would be a lot the two of then watching and tracking eachother, but when it comes down to hand to hand, I don't feel like kraven, even though he did kill spidy, has what it takes to put down an predator.
This is a story long needed and so far it's great!
I mean, Xavier mentioned it in his kill protocol of the X-Men. Wolverine can effectively be killed if you cut off his head. The source of his healing factor is his brain.
He’s survived w his head detached by Nick fury before
@@tomsklanka9436different universe we’re talking about 616 not ultimate universe
Ah no it's not his brain, becasue as we clearly see in this issue his brain was dissolved and we have seen his brain destroyed on other occasions (nitro) and he heals.
The reason removing his head works is becasue the 2nd part of the instruction is to keep it a distance away from his body it just inconveniences his healing factor.
@@rankcolour8780 I think it ties in. The brain needs oxygen to survive, and if his bones were completely coated, said oxygen would never be able to travel from his bones to his reach his brain.
It's been so many years but I think a Sentinel (or what this part of the Dark Phoenix Saga?) blasted him down to a single strand of DNA. He regenerated. No way Predator wins this one. No way.
2:18 that’s funny because that’s also an Easter egg for Predator 2 where there was a xenomorph skull on a Predator’s trophy room!
I hate cliffhangers... great video
Berserker rage Wolverine is just Sabretooth.
When rob hypes up that good shit only to blue ball you at the end!
Now that’s a title. Movie, now.
Rob favorite word cliffhangers
Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was so goooood
@comicsexplained you also missed the Konshu skull!
The Predator had no idea he was the prey the whole time.
Those were F-22s my good sir, not F-16s. Not being nitpicky, just that the artists took the time to draw enough detail into them for me to recognize them, so it's an important distinction. Thanks for the wonderful video, love your channel as always! Be well
If Predator, Marvel, and Star Wars are in the same universe, does that mean we can potentially see a jedi and a mutant team up to an alien from Alien v Predator?
Ooooooh 😮 that’s crazy. I wonder if they will ever do a Wolverine vs Predator animated movie
@ the 4:45 mark, there are panels that look like they may have been drawn by David Finch. Can you tell me what book they are from? I'm a big David Finch fan.
Great book, that’s so cool they made the weapon x helmet based off Predator Technology! The only thing I would have liked to have seen is Wolverine in a Berker Rage fight the Predator, that version of Wolverine is terrifying, more animalistic and less human
Star Wars, Marvel and Predator share the same universe? Weird cosmic combination for sure 😮
And Godzilla
Wolverine of the 7 sword style
I don't mean to be "that guy", but those were F-22's, not F-16's. Great story though, keep up the awesome work! I'm loving this story!
I echo your thoughts and you kept me from being "that guy"...LOL
I’ll wager the Predator in part 4 - due to having analysed the adamantium on Wolverines bones - will have developed a way to get around the metal, maybe similar to Silver Samurai’s ability to empower his sword cut through anything.
I will also bet that the Predator will probably beat Wolverine, but struggle against Muramasa, with Wolverine entering his Beserker rage on seeing Predator mortally wound Muramasa or even kill him, and that’s how he’ll drive the Predator off yet again, and leave him to ponder how to deal with Logan’s Rage.
I'd be down for Rob covering Predator comics!
Preds helmet is legit.
I've been looking for this on Google play
Dat’s gotta hoit!
