Pete, I've only just realised that this was meant to be a sphere!!! 😂 I did wonder why you added so much resin to the top lol. well I bet you cant guess what I ended up making with this crazy blank ? check it out....
I would NEVER have thought to make that! Came out fantastic!
Thank you for the chance to work together!
@@nickzammeti I was screaming at your video “A SPHERE, HE WANTED YOU TO MAKE A SPHERE”🤣🤣🤣
I haven't watched it yet, but was it a tiny pot with a pointy knob in the lid? 😂😂😂❤
@@austin4x 🤣🤣not quite. But close
@alanbragg9466 yeah, I see. 😂😂😂😂 I laughed so hard. Good old Nick, lol. No Yorkshire Grit though, so I feel a bit let down honestly. 😂😂
Dude that was an AMAZING assortment of CDs in that box. I probably would have ordered another one!
Me too, but then probably kept them too and ordered more...then kept them and ordered more....
Mrs. Brown! Peter stole your shredder! lol
Buys random CDs to shred, receives boxful of legendary Rock classics.😂
Proceeds to shred legendary rock classics. 😝
I'm so happy you filmed all the shredding because that was amazing 😂❤
That was a surprisingly good collection of CDs and it hurt a little to watch ‘em get shredded
I have both you and Nick for years. Just saw he had posted a video, lost it when I saw it was a collab with you. Happy day!
I literally just stopped my other video to come to this. This should be good.
I found his channel because of recommendations while watching your content years ago. Perfect Collab!
Love it when two RUclipsrs I watch colab
I could not watch you destroy those CDs. Physical media still matters! They can't take that away from you. I looked at what else you've done and looks cool, subscribed.
awesome, great to see two of my favourite youtubers collabing
Two of my fave makers working together?! Heck yeah!!!
Fantastic singing voice and fantastic project 😍💕
Great collaboration really enjoyed both videos!! Love the end result!!! Love Mum x
That was a good collection of albums, I was seriously hurt by the shredding of some of those, except Rod Steward.
I loved this collaboration. Cool items in less frequent videos is great.
I think this is the most destructive video about making things I've ever seen 😂😂😂
so for next time (if there is one) use DVD blanks, I can still find them here in BC. The good thing about DVD blanks is the recordable substrate is sandwiched between 2 layers of polycarbinate and the reflective material won't flake off the plastic. CD information is recorded on the backside of the label and thus are easily ruined.
Naw, how boring would that have been?
I enjoyed going through them and reminiscing!
The memories are a LOT more important to me than the plastic. 😃
@@peterbrownwastakenIk it was said a million times already but genuinely hurt to watch the shredding 😭 and im not even that old im 23 but so many memories of all those cds playing in my parents car full blast on camping trips as a kid. Very nostalgic ahaha
Love this! Been watching both of you guys for years!
Just finished Nick's video. I've followed you both for a very long time. You guys make similar but your styles are night and day lol anyway great collab guys.
lol, this is so random? coincidence? fate?? I am subbed to over 250 different channels and both your videos (this collaboration) arrived in my feed one next to the other, an in order of creation. What a pleasure to get to see the full project in one sitting. Congratulations to BOTH of you for a amazing looking project. (I copy/pasted this comment on both of your channels) :-) :-) ;-)
I felt personally attacked during the shredding. So many good albums :(
It made me soooo sad
Same like wtf
Pearl Jam's Ten album was my favourite album for quite a few years. Seeing it shredded was oddly hurtful (thankfully mine is still safely sat on my shelf).
And then also the Beatles.
For a $20 mystery box on Ebay, there where a LOT of good albums in there.
The five for fighting one hurt lmao
Wanted this collab for ages
That CD pull was crazy. I would want to keep almost all of em. Great idea for future treat to myself!
Heck yes haha
That bandsaw cut made a cool visual!
WHO PICKS BACK TO THE FUTURE III?! You're lucky you're so gosh darn talented! _feigned outrage over_
Thank you for reminding me of the David Thorne spider. I should read his book again.
Not really my fandom.
Now if we're talking Star Trek, I have LOTS of opinions!
I mean, I'd order the movies 1, 3, 2. Not that 2 is bad, far from it. I think that it's doing a lot, but it's so much that you're not as focused on the characters, and it's not using the time periods as fully as 1 or 3. 1 is 100% 1955, 3 is 100% 1855. With two you're bouncing between 2015, 1985 twice over(Regular and Biff), and 1955
Devil's Night Out is still one of my absolute favorite albums! It's a great listen when you're making stuff🤗
So glad yall did this. You two are the only turners I watch on RUclips! Love you both.
First day having internet back since Helene. This was exactly what I needed. Thank you for some joy while we're going through it out here in Asheville.
A roller coster of emotions shredding great music sad collab of my two favorite makers happy watching the process satisfying
What a great idea! Your resin work always amazes me.
BTW, never mind “across the pond” for metric use. Both of your next door neighbours use it too. 🙂 (🇨🇦 and 🇲🇽)
My jaw hit the floor when you shredded John Coletrane.
Have watched both channels for years! Love the collaboration
Good job by you!……. Enjoyed the collaboration and enjoyed Nicks as well!…….
This is a collab I've been waiting for! THANK YOU GUYS!! 🎉
i JUST watched Nick's video - GREAT WORK!! =)
Two of my favorites collabing! Guess I'm not going to bed yet. 😂
Nooooo the crossover I was waiting for years 😍💙
Great work Peter. You and Nick did a great job on your colab. Keep it up guys!!
I have to give a huge thanks to a ton of guys from the maker scene. Because of y'all I finally went out, got myself a lathe and started turning as a hobby and its awoken something in me.
I almost watched Nick's video first, but somehow ended up clicking here instead. Without realizing the two were connected. LOL...... Cool project blank!!
What an amazing collab! Nice work, Peter! We can't wait to see what Nick does with the block!
Thank you!
YEESSSSS LEETTTSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOO the one collab I’ve been waiting for forever!!!!!!
I love this collab so much
Dude that was some good tunes into the shredder a great looking blank and a good looking project from Nick Z as well keep up the collaborative projects and have a excellent day
This is the colab we've been waiting for!!!!
You see, I was going to go to bed after watching a Dishonored clip, but… then I saw the notification saying you had a new video up. So… yeah. New plan
“Its turned off, i’m not dumb!”
*proceeds to jam not even two seconds later and then the tweezers re-enter the frame to unjam the piece while the shredder is still going*
Edit, just poking fun, the comedic moment is absolutely hilarious
Editing Peter is constantly amazed by the stupidity that is recorded by Maker Peter.
He doesn't even plan these things out. He's just a savant.
Here after seeing Nick's video
I just came here after nicks video i loved the calabaration 👍🏼.Some of those albums were bangers 🔥😢.
This makes the 16yr old in my cry a little seeing DMB being crushed up lol
As a Hard Times reader, it always gets a chuckle out of me to hear The Mighty Mighty Bosstones mentioned unexpectedly
I recently went through the adventure of shredding aluminum cans in a paper shredder, and it didn't struggle nearly as much as yours did with CD's. I did go out of my way to get a 'high capacity' one, but it was still a cheap one off amazon so more than a little impressed. Of course, after a couple hundred cans, the teeth bow away from each other and stop shredding consistently, but it still chugs along murdering aluminum cans.
That Kiss gold double CD that you had there was the first CD i ever bought when I was 17.
the collab i've been waiting for for years!
This video hurt so much in so many ways... Well anyway awesome can't wait to see what Nick make with it
Ten Summoner's Tales is a great album, but Nothing Like the Sun may be one of my all time favorites. Still, I see you are a person of true taste. The CD confetti does look pretty cool. Now need to see what Nick does with it. Thanks for sharing!
Watching this one hurt my soul! 😅 I'm so pleased it wasn't a vinyl collection at least.
DON'T GIVE HIM IDEAS!!!
@@TheDevil259 Interesting... :)
@@peterbrownwastaken Oh no… WHAT HAVE YOU DONE @Zoso14892 !?!
Well played with the paper shredder, that's quite clever IMO.
Shredding Hendrix hurt my heart.
🤣🤣🤣 Eagles wasn't going down without a fight!
I’m pretty sure I could have mailed you that box of CDs. The 90s killed it with music. Although I’m biased as hell cause I graduated from college in ‘99 so my musical wheelhouse perfectly aligned with this collection.
I love the grandma at the beauty shop color theory. 😂 This is why we have purple hair for a few days a month.
Peter, I can't tell you how many times my heart leapt into my throat when you started digging into the shredder. You NEVER risk your hands like that. Even if the shredder is turned off, it can still malfunction! You could hit the switch and accidentally turn it on! Some wires could have gotten crossed and the machine turn back on even with the switch off! When I worked in an office I was taught by my supervisor that if I ever needed to unclog the paper shredder, the FIRST thing I should do is UNPLUG IT so ABSOLUTELY NO POWER is going into the machine to eliminate ANY risk of those blades starting to turn. You work with dangerous machinery and power tools! You should know better!
Th blank looks really nice, omw to look what the endresult is like
Frampton Comes Alive. Nice!
I have almost all of those CDs in my living room right now. With a lot more. But it was wild how much overlapped...
2:57 sitting there callin' out my childhood dude... killin' me
Your singing is actually pretty decent!
That red Beatles cd was the first piece of music I ever got to own! I still have it!
2 of my favorite youtubers!!!
Yes! The maker collab of my dreams!
Peter, you and I would've been great friends in High School!
Awesome blank!
Awesome collab! My son thought so too until you started the shredding - he had to leave after the first few with a very pained look on his face.
Best collab ever🥹🫶🏾
I’m torn between be sad so many U2 albums got shredded and glad that they are blessing the project
Sent here from Nick. You definitely have a new subscriber and a loyal viewer!
I could have sent you so many CD's!!! I have hundreds of old burned CD's, DVDs, and useless software and driver discs. But the music CD's definitely added entertainment/horror value to the video.
Seeing you go through the old CDs was actually heartbreaking, lol. I've seen that before. A few times. I've seen that going through someone's CDs after they've died. My dad's collection, for one. You know that somebody collected each individual CD, one by one, because it's what they were lostening to at the time, and that even if they ripped them to digital, we all know we kept the originals, lol. Yeah, that's part of the music collection of some cool person, a person who listened to stuff we listened to, a person who is no longer with us. 😢❤
Ok. That is sad. But Honestly, this isn’t a dead persons collection.
The lister I bought this from on Ebay said he was just selling his old CDS. Guessing they just wanted some space back.
@@peterbrownwastakengood to hear. It's been humbing to see the difference in how we perceive our nelongings will be distributed or kept or handled when we are gone vs what actually happens when family has only a couple days to clean out your house, or when workes with shovels and trash cans come and don't even look at it. If you want somebody to have something when you're gone, better ship it now cause even if it has genuine monetary value, chances are it's going to the dump.
What about broken glass in resin? Colored glass in clear, or clear glass in colored resin, or colored glass in colored resin, or ckear glass in clear resin, or......... I can't remember if anybody has done that yet or not. Sounds awful to turn but can't be worse than the old death bowl.
Ok, my inner 16 year old was super excited to see that opened box of CDs! Can you imagine how cool something like that would have been to get? And how horrified that same 16 year old would be to see them shredded? OMG, those used to be like $20/each! 😂
It turned out super cool!! 😎
Great collaboration idea!!!
Really cool shot @ 11:12
I very much enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Why is the noise of the cds shredding so enjoyable? Lol…it sounds like Plinko! 😂
More, please!
You shredded Hendrix!! Man that is sacrilege ......
That was crazy. Even I felt a little bad about that.
Grew up listening to REM. My dad is a masive fan 😂
RESPECT THE CLASSICS MAN, IT'S HENDRIX
This looks like fun!!❤😂
It was oddly satisfying watching you shred the CDs 😂
I love how if you played a second of a song from a good portion of the albums in that box within your video, it'd instantly get demonetized. Yet you can get all of those albums in bulk before they hit the landfill.
For some reason my cats LOVE sitting on top of my shredder. it lives in a box now.
The shredding hurt my inner music lover sooo much
Fun!
Peter I think you'd enjoy that Rusted Root CD.
I couldn't watch all that beautiful physical media get destroyed lol I had to click out. 😅 I still have my high school CDs and a ton of albums. I'll never destroy them.
At 6:51 , right after saying "I'm not dumb enough to do that" (put tweezers in the shredder while it is turned on) he ALMOST put tweezers in the shredder while it WAS turned on.
Such a cool collab.
