Actually he couldn’t since not only was rhaenyera the only thing of viserys and his family that was left daemon posed a major threat to aegon and aemond not just as a dragon rider but as brother to viserys too. Not to mention he hated alicent and her children along with otto because he knew otto was a snake them taking the throne was a huge betrayal to his brother I mean viserys wasn’t even buried properly because otto and alicent made their move it was a disgusting betrayal that spurned his hatred even more.
@@Mcherri WTF!? Aegon and Aemond are Daemon's nephews as much as Rhaenyra is his niece. And he was in no way a threat to them until he choose Rhaenyra's side. The sole reason they became his ennemies is him deciding that. He could easily stay neutral and build a new life in Pentos. (And, honestly, Viserys is the one to blame for all of this bullshit. Trying to impose a chosen heir against his legitimate heir is the worst thing a king can do.)
@@libiusperseus it was stated so many times he couldn’t stand the Hightowers he didn’t consider them family regardless of blood at all even in the books and the show daemon showed so much disdain towards Otto and Alicent he tolerated them when their presence because of viserys that was it and they are only half blood rhaeynera,daemon and viserys all share the same amount of the Targaryen they have way more then any of viserys Hightower children ever did so daemon doesn’t consider them family. Not to mention the Hightowers couldn’t wait until viserys had a proper burial for a king to upsurp the throne and that pissed daemon off it is an insult and betrayal in his eyes against his brother against rhaenyera and the family house and name. Not to mention daemon ordered aegons son killed as revenge for Luc making sure aegon had no male heirs left. Daemon even cared about rhaenyera’s boys all of them and his daughters as did rhaenyera.
